Even this Tea Time interview back in 83 shows his intellect. /watch?v=rh4pFD5d65U
It didn't shock me to find out he worked in a bookstore. As someone who worked in a university library (Mum was a librarian as well) just being around the books rubs on you.
Have a great night, a great day tommorrow, a great night tommorrow, a great week, a great month and a great autumn! Puerto Rican Love from New York City!
Don't You Want Me was a hit in America (at least for me) because of the SOUND. The synths and drum machines..it didn't sound like anything else at the time. And of course it was a catchy song.
The interviewer is really intrusive- "How much money do you have in your account?" That's objectionable and really unnecessary question. Yes, Phil is a gentleman... one of a kind.
Mm, I wonder who he was going to say when they were talking about the boring groups needing dancers...I can only think of Soft Cell and Ultravox maybe....although they're not boring!
I wanted to work with them when i first started to try and make synth music in the 90's....the 'League were a big influence. Never seen this interview before, thank you.
What a down to earth lovely beautiful man! I could watch this interview all day...ahhh! Why aren't guys like him any more...I mean, you'll never find a man in mainstream music wearing makeup and refusing to dance and all the lovely sweet things he does. Music nowdays is BAD. I should have been born in 1
Agreed completly! He's amazing...and has the most lovely yorkshire accent! I'm praying the band will be together forever (or at least until I've got enough money to go and see them live!)
He was Sooo cute :)
