Yer right about that motor. It doesn't stand a a chance with the std bottom end. An after-market crank & con-rod set was six hundred quid in 2001, when I had a Bullet.
Christ knows how much a bottom-end to survive supercharging would be today.
Supercharging a Bullet is a waste of time, unless you intend to ride it at high altitude.
Bullets are meant to be dependable plodders & need a respectful right hand if they are completely standard.
Its a class of a bike..!! Now a days you really don't get to experience how Bikes use to feel back then..! The bike tops at the most 120km/hr on a highway..! gives a great Mileage....! Over all a Classic..! A great bike..! :)
uhhhh....back in the flattrack days, a 500cc single could really kick ass naturally aspirated. Hence the BSA, AJS, of course, Royal Enfield, even such as Suzuki, Yamaha, etc. The 500 single can amaze you! Nice concept, gentlemen...I truly hope to hear of you setting a record soon!!!!!
I hope he sets the record! There are other classes of bikes racing. Even a 50cc class. Of course a modern multi-cylinder bike with aerodynamic bodywork can go faster. That is not the point. I wish him luck. Why do you care what he looks like? Maybe his mother loved a Viking.

Unless he's beefed up the bottom end of the motor, he will blow the arse out of it.

I would think for space saving a centrifugal supercharger or a turbo would be better than that honkin' big twin screw unit.

according to Jay Leno, a BSA DBD34 Goldstar 500 single could hit 110 MPH out of the crate. Made from 1956 to 1963
