Dude scott Ian was one of the founders of Anthrax, probably one of the most important thrash metal bands, so this means he also wrote all those cool riffs that made Anthrax so famous(Madhouse, A.I.R., NFL,..). It's not because you're not a leadguitar player you don't earn the respect you diserve. Scott Ian is a great musician. Besides Daniel Spitz gave up guitar playing for ten years before he got back together with Anthrax, that's pretty lame in my opinion.

not really dude- i actually know dan spitz personally. most of the riffs were created by spitz- he was the one who created Anthrax's unique sound. Ian was obviously a part of it, but no where near as influential as spitz. and he didnt give up guitar- he just took a break from the band to get his watch smith degree from switzerland. he is coming out with a new band called Dead Reckoning. listen for it. and i am not trying to dis ian, i just think he gets too much credit.
