I live in the south and i say I love the Confederates and I git called a racist. But I don't give a damn because i know the truth and GOD BLESS THE CONFEDERACY AND THE BRAVE MEN WHO DIED TO KEEP AMERICA THE SAME WAY IT WAS WENT IT WAS CREATED.
" All that the south has ever desired was the union as esablished by our forefathers should be preserved and that the government as originally organized should be administered in purity and truth." Gen. Robert E. Lee
@scott44210 "the same way it was when created," which is what? a nation where slavery is legal?
Now don't get me wrong I don't think you're a racist but if the Union had not won I think America would have turned out to be a big joke. It doesn't look good for young nations to divide over cotton taxes. And don't even think to say that slavery wasn't a factor because it didn't appear in the declaration of war, it was a huge social factor. The civil war ended slavery on the continent, that's good.

No, a nation where government is limited. A nation that was not the world's policeman with troops in scores of countries around the world, debts it may never be able to repay, where government was not in bed with favored businesses at public expense, etc etc. All of these are attributable to the centralized monstrosity the Radical Republicans created after 1865.
