What is the hard part? Getting enough speed? If you are low on speed then what? You just come back down like you went up if you keep your arms and body straight. You can't have too much speed, if you just remember to hold on and not let go flying to the floor. Propably it is tricky to hold tight but not too tight.
Oh man I remember the first time i got a giant i was flipping out. they are hard to learn but once you get them down they arent very hard to keep. great job man.
Interesting Arash.. i always thought that you had a background in gymnastics because some of videos you post are in gymnastics training spaces - which then led to calisthenics and then to performances w the flying tortillas. I guess i'm also mixed up with Calisthenics and Gymnastics. Please do enlighten if you have the time, thanks. @strengthproject
I made a progression for getting giants. Check out the vid in my profile if you want, the progression can help you get giants fast. Your stuff is good man keep it up.
Hey Arash u should do a video chat on vokle so we could ask u questions and get direct answers, that would be really great if u could find some time to do this.Keep up the good work!!
Way to go, man -- giants are so much fun. Instead of bending your legs, work on a proper "tap swing" (hollow body coming down the back side, arch at the bottom, and snap to a hollow body again going up the front and over, and keep the shoulders open) check out drillsandskillsdotcom for some excellent technical pointers. Love your videos, Bro . . .
Thanks, I'll certainly check out the link! They are way fun! I've been wanting to try forever and I finally did. Thanks for the tip. Cant wait til I apply them at the next open gym :)
if anyone will say blah blah blah is a fool cause its not as easy as it looks for the first time and it must be scary too!!!keep up your amazing work and try not to get your head split in half!!(joke):D
One of the major things I did wrong: Notice when I'm coming around from the handstand, around 0:17, I bend my knee causing me to drop down. Ideally my legs should have been straight. Some things to keep in mind! :)
@strengthproject Well I have seen people do them with bent legs, mostly freerunners. I want to do it with bent legs myself =D But I suppose the straight leg version is easier, atleast while learning it =)
lol, type "турник" in search and go kill yourself

I thought those were easy to do but if you just did it for the first time then they must be hard.

@MegaExtent
They were easy. I'm guessing if you can handstand on the bar, then it will be easier. cleaning it is a bit tough if anything
strengthproject 2 months ago
@strengthproject I got nervous when u slowed down at the top lol! Nice job.

@strengthproject what do you mean by cleaning?sorry for being a noob lol
junlikiak 2 months ago
@MegaExtent well i can't handstand on the bar and it's still easy... it's not even dangerous, you just kinda spin around... that's all there is))
gogaPK 2 months ago
@MegaExtent Once you understand the mechanics of how they work they are really easy. It's getting the balls to make your first one that's scary =P

For me at least, I feel like I'm dropping hard when I bend my knees. I suppose when I get more control I can play with the bending :)
