sick car man i have some cash and want to do the same swap in my e30 please tell me how much it cost you in the end excluding paint n stuff just engine trans diff ect... and how did you mount the dii or are you using the e30 diff? any info would be greatley appreciated dude

My daily driver is E46 328i and E30 325i weekends. 325i is more responsive with Signature Motoring performance (CAI) intake kit. Installed it myself in under half

hour. HP increase on the 325i is about 9.5HP for a cost of $170 or around $19 per HP gain. Best 1st performance mod to do. Other application data:

E30 series: 6.0-13.4hp gain

E36 series: 5.5-12hp gain

E46 series: 6.0-13.9hp gain

E92 series: 8.5+ hp gain

Z3/Z4 (all): 5.5-13.9hp gain

@gytis156 depends what your running theres times and drivers that say the e30 are built better just have shitty motors from bmw but they can always be swapped and the e36 model is just to heavy stock sound deadening heavy 80 pd seats... i personal love my e36 but the e30 look so fun to drive less weight...

fools, S52 swap will work with the stock tranny for the m3 and driveshaft. You can use your stock tranny with the s52 engine if you'd like but you'll need to buy a custom bracket to support the tranny. Also.... the US vs European. The obd2 came out for the later e36 m3's do to strict us emission laws so he should have swapped out his headers and done a straight up obd1 conversion to his engine before he dropped it in. Its not an obd1 until u switch out the sensors, headers, throttle body etc..

Get rid of that old bumper and put the later version, i hope u didnt put the american spec m3, that motor is a down tuned POS cant believe BMW released it under thoes yank laws they shoulda just never sold it in the U.S.
