FACT the earth has only had polar ICE caps for 2.4 million of those 4500 million. which means that...FACT the earths "normal" temp is much warmer than todays "colder" temps. There is also plenty of empirical evidence that shows the correlation between sun and warming has been absent for the last 40 or so years. They have been going in different directions. There has been a huge amount of research go into analyzing the sun and climate over the last 40 years. No fudging of data (unless you can prove your conspiracy theories), just straight up science.

@hunchbacked Most of the world had above average temperatures again, including Europe. 2011 year they suffered more from flooding than heat. The record breaking floods worldwide were caused by increased evaporation caused by warmer than normal temperatures. This is why a small global temperature increase is all it takes to have big impacts in regional areas. Of course some of the increase is natural but the man-made warming component is making it worse than it would otherwise be.

The computer models are inaccurate. After 1980, the computer models show a steep decline in temperature using tree ring data. This data just doesn't support reality so it was omitted. In addition, the famous hockey-stick chart omits the Medieval warm period as it's inconvenient to the global warming theory. It does this by starting at 1500, or using bad models. The MWP was a full degree warmer than current.

FACT the earth has only had polar ICE caps for 2.4 million of those 4500 million. which means that...FACT the earths "normal" temp is much warmer than todays "colder" temps. FACT if earths "normal" temp is warmer then eventually it will warm back up to its normal temp. and it that process started 40000 years ago.FACT we are still in the "last" ice age. FACT we are in an "interglacial" a temp warming of the ice age...it will cool again before it warms.

There is also plenty of empirical evidence that shows the correlation between sun and warming has been absent for the last 40 or so years. They have been going in different directions. There are hardly any poltitical reasons to "make up" global warming, as it is not good for any economy to restrict itself. The USSR denied climate effects btw, and they were on the left.

The record breaking floods worldwide were caused by increased evaporation caused by warmer than normal temperatures. This is why a small global temperature increase is all it takes to have big impacts in regional areas. Of course some of the increase is natural but the man-made warming component is making it worse than it would otherwise be.

I'm sorry, this video misses the point of 'hide the decline'.
The computer models are inaccurate. After 1980, the computer models show a steep decline in temperature using tree ring data. This data just doesn't support reality so it was omitted. In addition, the famous hockey-stick chart omits the Medieval warm period as it's inconvenient to the global warming theory. It does this by starting at 1500, or using bad models. The MWP was a full degree warmer than current.

@mphello lol why panic? the worst is behind us. when the mile high glacier sitting over ALL of Canada and reaching down to virginia on the east St Louis in the center and Portland on the west cost melted it caused "CATASTROPHIC" climate change and raised the sea level 120 feet or more. if the glaciers melted completely the sea would only raise 7 feet. but it would open up NORTHERN canada russia and the ENTIRE continent of Antarctica to farming and resource gathering. ending world hunger

@mphello google "ice ages" and see how old the earth is (4500 million) and see how long the earth has had ice covered poles (four glaciations each lasting roughly 600000 years for a grand total of 2.4 million years) not even one tenth of one percent. so earths "normal" is to be warm and ice free. also note it has been warming for 40k years...why would a 40k trend stop just because man invented the automobile?

@mphello the reason that 100% of scientist say global warming is happening is because...global warming is happening and has been for 40k years. we are in what scientists call an "interglacial" that is to say a temporary warming period between glacial maximums but to say man is RESPONSIBLE for the warming is a stretch. we were barely homo sapiens 40k years ago. have only been "civilized" 10k years ago and industrialized 150 years ago. no data supports "irrefutable" AGW.

@mphello besides NOTHING is irrefutable in science!!! you wouldnt be following the "scientific method" if you didnt question evidence and counter evidence and theoretical evidence etc. we would all still believe the world was flat if we didnt question the contemporary "irrefutable evidence" of the time. keep an open mind and do some research for your self. man can no more controll climate than we can controll the sun...which is the REAL climate changer

@mphello ask yourself this...if the suns surface temp droped in half would it change climate here? what about DOUBLE? would it get warmer? mkay now say it only fluctuates by 1/10th of 1%? plus or minus would it effect earth? no? what if i told you the suns surface temp is 8 MILLION DEGREES!!! and .1% is plus or minus 8000 DEGREES. 16 THOUSAND degree diference from coldest to hottest. you dont think that would effect us? really? REALLY?!?!?!? you are the one in denial

No, we must not panic; panicking is the worst way of reacting.
When there is a disaster, it's those who panic who stand the most chance of perishing.
We must think over the problem, calmly.
Of course we must make an effort not to waste resources and spare them.
But it must be a concerted effort; if one makes efforts to spare resources, and the other one does not and wastes resources in a senseless way, the efforts of the first one are useless and vain.

@hunchbacked resources are un limited. a resource is anything that can be used and that is limited ONLY by the imagination only socilists believe resources are limited. ironically by making cars more efficient liberals have EXTENDED our use of fossil fuels. if would of left well enough alone and stuck with 8 mile per gallon gas hogs we would of run out of fossil fuels 30 years ago and would of made the transition to renewable energy. liberals are always their own worst enemy

Once ago, my father was working in the exploitation of potash, but this exploitation has stopped, because the resources of potash have come to an end, the exploitation plants had to close.
Likewise, the easier way to get petrol is going to go to an end, and we'll have to get petrol in more difficult ways.
So, no the resources are not unlimited.

@hunchbacked ...um...HELLO MCFLY!!! before we started using petroleum WHALE oil was in vogue...do you really WANT us to go back to whale oil? when we "deplete" our petroleum resources we will simply go to the next alternative which will be cheaper and more efficient. why wouldnt you WANT this? but UNTILL we use up all the cheap oil it doesnt make sense. remember when a VCR cost $1800? and adjusted for 1973 dollars that was $6000 do you even know what a vcr is? a blue ray is now $49

May be that some ecologists exaggerate sometimes, like those who want to brutally stop nuclear energy how explaining how the other ways of producing electricity will suffice for the needs of the whole exploitation, and also ignoring that some ways of producting electricity that they think to be ecological are not as ecological as they think.
They also make predictions which happen to be wrong.

@hunchbacked i live near richland washington which you prolly never heard of. but suffice to say it is a govt town. it is famous for having a MUSHROOM CLOUD as its mascot. (we made the fuel for the bomb which wiped out Nagasaki) they planed on making four nuclear reactors which would power every home west of the missisippi for mere pennys but the FUCKING LIBERALS!!! said no. now it costs $300 month to heat a house when it COULD of cost $3.42month. WTF?

Nuclear energy is only bad if it is used in an irresponsible way.
Tchernobyl happened because an idiotic russian engineer, who had too much authority for his limited competence, made a moronic test that any trained engineer could have told him that it was pure folly, and because Tchernobyl was built according outdated standards which were making the plant dangerous.

Fukushima happened because the plants were too close to the sea and the Japanese had not even envisionned the possibility of an important tsunami; they had besides been warned by the head of the IAEA of the danger their plant was representing.
It is because of these events that people get afraid of nuclear energy; but these events come from human error and could have been avoided.

In order to be named by the party, it was more important to show loyalty to the party than to be competent.
