@vierdiez they were made by John Elder Robison, the guy who wrote the book Look Me In The Eye, fascinating book. He also made the smoke ones and ones with rockets and so on. He was on Tour with them circa 1979 making those contraptions and running their lighting.

KISSawesome Gene doesn't drink or take drugs, but business to him is his drug. You need to understand that Gene is the manager for Kiss. They fired their manager for fucking them over, Kiss manages themelves. So gene has to be the best, cause no other manager will truly look out for the interests of Kiss. Theyhave been robbed of a lot of money, not Kiss does it all themselves. Gene isn't an asswipe, he's just a good manager and business man. He wears many hats, cause he has to.

But Bill wanted nothing to do with them. So Gene recommended Ted Templeman of Warner Bros. Ted heard them and signed them on the spot. And the rest is history.
