  • If it was Manhattan then why was Rescue 3 there instead of Rescue 1?

  • If It was Manhattan then why did rescue 3 go instead of 1?

  • I got to give that 18 wheeler after the tollbooth credit he moved out of the way on a bridge.

  • Much respect to the FDNY

    From Birmingham, England

  • american rescue sucks... i mean why the fuck are they driving so fucking slow? and the civilians isnt moving either... god damn idiots. learn from the best// SWEDEN :)

  • @Baddanx

    >American rescue sucks

    >9/11

    Stfu. You're wrong.

  • @Baddanx lol u pussy ass bitch. come and try driving in nyc. fuck swedish people. only reason why ppl even know the named swedish is because of the candied fish. you little bitch.

  • @crytoyourmom i dont even know what the fuck a candied fish is u ignorant stupid american inbreed fuck. ur vehicles sucks, ur rescue drivers think they are fucking heroes with flags and shit on their vehicles. fucking joke, buy european cars! learn to drive and save some lifes u fat fucks. and btw ive been to NYC and i actually rented a car and drove around... so go fuck urself

  • @Baddanx Our drivers put flags on their cars because they're patriotic, not because they think they're heros you stupid Swedish fuck, and it's also called patriotic by our emergency services using American made vehicles instead of stupid European ones.

Also, the other guy is talking about Swedish Fish, the candy, if you've never heard of it you're even dumber than you sound.

  • @Baddanx Haha, I agree... mostly... Sweden should be proud of Volvo and Scania.. and maybe Saab. European vans, cars and trucks are better than their North American counterparts...

  • @04smallmj Well not exactly better. Some European cars are jokes! I've spent time in Europe and the only decent cars I've seen are German ones: Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen etc. I mean you're from the UK right? So you only get the lower end of the US car market: Dodge Caliber, Nitro and maybe some Korean Chevrolets. If you were to drive a nice Cadillac or Lincoln - then you'd know what an American car is like: Luxurious and Powerful..

  • @Baddanx Haha, you're so funny. I mean your country has what: 10 million people? So the population of your country, is the same as the Chicago metro area! Our cities are much more crowded than yours! You can't really compare the two countries - they're completely in a different realm to each other.

  • do you not hear the siren and see the lights?

  • my last 17 years on the dept, I was FF/Eng, I respect you guys so much, that's one of the most stressful jobs out there, be safe all....

  • why was that unit there? 10:14

  • I could NEVER drive an emergency vehicle in New York. Id pop a vein from all the stress. Nobody moves.

  • nice response

  • ooo hooo bunlar arabaya binene kadar ölen öldü kalan kaldı...

  • the city is massive i wonder how the fdny now every road and where to go

  • @TheBenj30 I that one too. Maybe because of the cross streets?

  • Oh no i am in danger!! oh wait, racists coming to rescue

  • @PTalpha1 why do you say that ?

  • @PTalpha1 fuck off

  • hey du machst echt gute videos,du machst von verschiedenen ländern mir gefällt die amerikanische feuerwehr am besten

  • Does anyone know a camera That will zoom in far?

But it needs to be 100 or less im looking to buy one

so i can spot the fire trucks in NY?

Please help and where to get the camera at walmart?

    THANKS NICE VIDEO

  • It takes an alert and responsive driver and respectful citizens.

  • bmw m5 at 3:00 to 3:09

  • Best ride along video.

  • I hate how slow the ambulances in US are. Come on in europe (i`m in romania) an accident happened and in 2 minutes the police and ambulance arrived. Here Ambulances overtake over double lines sometimes even in blind corners.. here in europe if a ambulance is in back of as we can cross a red light too let him go.If YOU WANNA SEE A REAL AMBULANCE RUN WRITE EMERGENCY RUN PORTUGAL

  • @renaultandme umm hello!!! that is not a ambulance! its a battalion chief rig look at this! google fdny gmc suburban

  • @renaultandme It is not necessarily the ambulance that is slow, it is the cars that won't yield for the ambulance lol.

  • @renaultandme Just to let you know you may be fast but the FDNY has been tested and it is the fact the FDNY is most highly trained, expert fire department in the world.

  • @renaultandme Anyone who drives the middle of the road on a double yellow around a blind curve is a dumbass and deserves to have their license torn up. We are slow because we are cautious. It is your emergency, not ours. There is no point in us speeding like hell to get to you if we get in an accident halfway there because we couldnt slow down for traffic or an intersection. European driving is nothing to boast about or be proud of by any means. There are reasons I dont travel to your country

  • @renaultandme Notice how he is walking to his vehicle and not running? We are taught to be professional, keep composure, and always be aware of the safety of those around us. What good are you going to do by running around like a maniac and speeding down the road as if the world were ending? You only create more panic and put more lives at risk. I would come to your country and teach your ambulance services that, but i'm afraid i'd be run over and killed before I had the chance.

  • My station uses train horns due ppl not moving for our air horns. including in our povs

  • My station uses train horns due ppl not moving for our air horns.

  • HOW WERE YOU ABLE TO DO THIS?!! I wanted to do this while I was in NYC but they all said no :p. Oh well, I'll find a way :D.

  • You guys need a kangaroo guard and an air horn. Nudge some of those idiots out of the way!

  • new york is such a clusterfuck of cars

  • im glad i run with a dept in a small town cause i would be half tempted to push some of these retarded ass drivers outta the ways! MOVE OVER FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • asshole bus driver at 9:29

  • You have to be a brave man to drive one of those. lol They don't have the "security" of being in a huge truck. :)

  • I'm a 21 year vet San Diego City, they should pay you guy's more money just for dealing with the traffic

  • Chapeau to the drivers!

  • @garlic287 Excuse me.... But I happen to be a NY-er and, have you EVER, EVER tried to find an open spot through traffic. No, we are not dumb, we just cant move thru the traffic due to the density!

  • lincoln town car every 3 seconde

  • At 9:29, that stupid ass school bus driver. New Yorkers are about the dumbest people in the country when it comes to moving for emergency vehicles. Like if u agree.

  • @garlic287 Hey, not everyone here in NY is a dumbass when driving. It's just some drivers can drive for crap!

  • @raceme97 Oh yeah, I know not everyone is a complete dumbass. I was just kidding.

  • @garlic287 I have seen indeed

  • @garlic287 i don know chicagos up there too

  • @garlic287 its nyc though so what else do you expect

  • @garlic287 diagree. i left on a call this afternoon in my brush truck. drove out of the station lights and siren and sat at the driveway waiting to merge onto the main road FOR FOURTY-FIVE SECONDS waiting for traffic!

  • @Raptor05121 lol that's why our station has it's own traffic lights which they can switch red when they leave the station. And by the time we can get through the whole city and turn on the siren just for a few moments, if we have to switch them on at all

  • @garlic287 well it aint much better i Denmark, but the good part is that when THEY need rescue they are all complaints about rescue taking to damn long....

  • Comment removed

  • People in nyc do not know how to get the fuck out of the way

  • @mikiedeath

Getting out of the way isn't just NY's problem. It's a jersey thing. It's not just emergency vehicles, it's any driver. "Why would I let this guy in front of me? *speeds up* I wanna get to where I'm going FASTER!" or my favorite, "If I pull over for that fire truck, the guy behind me is going to speed up and pass me. So I'm not going to pull over for the truck until he does.

  • @YorkRegionFireRescue sorry, you dont get it. but it can be spelled both ways so don't correct someone if they are right

  • @YorkRegionFireRescue learn 2 lurk

  • Usama Bin Laden is Dead :) the 05.02.2011 is a National Day...

The Devil is dead Day :)

    GBA

  • nice driving

  • Well Ford stopped making the Excustion after 2005. I think there is too much compition for the Ford to keep the Crown-Vic

  • excellent what els can i say

  • It sucks when you're in Manhattan gridlock and there's an emergency vehicle behind you and you can't get out of the way.

  • FDNY should have stayed with the Excersions, I know Ford dosen't make them anymore but they are way cooler than the GMC Seirra

  • @BartmanMC I prefer the Excursions too but once your in a FDNY Seirra, theres much more room

  • @BartmanMC I don't understand ford and their emergency vehicle sales man. FDNY rocked the excursion, and the crown vic was THE police car for...just about every agency in the US....then ford stops making both of them...wtf?

  • Thumbs up for that truck 02:56

  • @Char1zard93 yeah i thought truckers wouldn't care about emergency vehicles (:

  • @Char1zard93 that truck driver is like im sorry i blocked your path i will pull over here then

  • cool video

  • Are you a firefighter in the FDNY???

I'm asking because you have so many videos of Emergency vehicles of different countries.

  • how you get the ride along?

  • Tractor trailer truck drivers are driving the biggest vehicles but usually do the best job of getting out of the way.

  • that is onr long ass ride. but so worth it.... why are people so damn stupid when they hear a siren behind them?!!?

  • Way too much traffic there :/

  • Do these guys have to pay toll or do they have e-z pass?

  • @braduh1 they dont pay

  • nice

  • Theres A Lot Of Old Lincoln Town Cars Around!

  • 3:03 man that semi got out of the way QUICK!!!

  • @LtColWarren...Each state has different laws governing emergency vehicles. In Indiana an emergency vehicle DOES HAVE the right of way and may proceed thru red lights if done safely and with due regard.

  • @00:59 hear the START Sound of MS Windows 98 ;)

  • These guys are not properly going through red lights from what I can tell. Not sure of the SOP for emergency vehicles in NY, but I know that down here in FL, all emergency vehicles MUST come to a complete stop whenever they have the red and then slowly proceed throguh the intersection to avoid an accident because despite going Code 3 (Lights and siren) the emergency vehicle does NOT have the right of way, they are just requesting it from the other drivers.

  • @LtColWarren

    Get a hobby.

  • @LtColWarren Here in NJ and in NY it is madatory that vehicles yield the right of way no matter the circumstance. You hear the siren you move. Now even with that said you are supposed to come to a complete stop, but by even doing that you can't stop all accidents. The better thing is to use your brain and make sure the intersection is clear and there is nowhere that you could get in a bind i.e. large vehicles blocking your view on a multi lane road. Also in the city speeds are at a minimum.

  • the need to use a diff siren sound

  • @TheDrummerGuy101 they need a Q. or an eQ

  • @TheDrummerGuy101 like a rumbler?

  • 4:01 F'N MOVE!!!!

  • @BlazingPuppies What is he going to do, drive out into an intersection while he doesn't have the right of way and the siren behind him is blocked by his large vehicle and he has no emergency lights nor the power/training to break certain traffic codes in pursuit of an emergency? there's idiots who don't pull over/stop while moving that deserve tickets, but people who are at a light cannot be expected to enter the intersection without a green light, even with an emergency vehicle coming behind.

  • @DKruse88 Actually, you are permitted to enter the intersection, however you may not go through the intersection. Basically, you drive slightly forward and turn to make a clearing. And since the flashing headlight and right strobe would have been visible as they were in the line of sight for the white car, and the driver would have to be a complete idiot to not get the hint from a horn blasting at him from the truck who began inching forward (It's illegal in NYC to use your horn otherwise).

  • @InuKun2008 Well I guess that's where our states differ, which I forgot to think about when commenting In my state under no circumstances are you allowed to enter the intersection (cross the stop line and/or cross walk), you will receive a traffic citation for running a light. Granted in an emergency no cop would write it... but IF that car got hit/struck another vehicle both the emergency vehicle and that operator would be in trouble (and the emergency veh. would have double trouble w/ civil)

  • @DKruse88 (Continuation) The pedestrian admittedly didn't help matters by not knocking on the window to tell the driver to move when he had the chance. But legally in all 50 states, the driver would be held liable for impeding an emergency vehicle in that situation, as it is your responsibility when you hear a siren, to check all around the vehicle. Most people tend to only check at best their rear view mirror, not the side view mirrors as well. Shoulder checks are unheard of with most drivers.

  • @InuKun2008 I'm not sure if I would even knock on the window if I were the pedestrian. And in my state (as previously stated) generally entering intersections is a no-no regardless of circumstances (our law is simply "move over and slow/stop.") So a person wouldn't be protected to begin moving, enter an intersection illegally, THEN move over.

But if it's safe to enter and the emergency vehicle is stuck behind you, I don't know a cop who would write the guy a ticket. It's a slippery slope.

  • What was with that idiot black guy at 3:53? If his butt was on the line, hopefully someone else would pull the same stunt.

  • Why are some of the comments complaints about civilians or drivers not moving out of the way? Hello, McFly...it's NYC! After thoroughly watching this video, at least everyone proceeded orderly and not all erratically causing confusion. Urban areas such as this, drivers have to stay calm and just let the emergency vehicles work there way through traffic when it's heavy like this if they aren't able to pull over right away. Mostly, I saw everyone pull over even the oncoming traffic switched lanes.

  • @omfgCantGetaUsername Btw, usually Manhattan is the borough full of rudest pedestrians I've ever seen. :)

  • Who controlling the Siren? The Chief? Then the Captain in the Fire Truck controls the horn if I'm not mistaken.

  • MAN! You gotta love New York City Man! My hats off to you guys and I complain because of all the traffic here on these country roads. LOL!!!

  • That's what you call horrendous amounts of traffic.

  • God fucking damn...All these dubmasses that don't even bothering pulling over and stopping when they can! I also hate people using the crosswalk that just continue walking slowly when there's an emergency vehicle right on their ass... It amazes me how careless people can be in nyc...

  • With you is even more going on the road than us because

  • So why did they respond?

  • What does a battalion do? (I'm english and we don't have them)

  • @sharkey500 they are in charge of mutilple of units

  • @sharkey500 A battalion chief oversees a certain area of the city, 55 in total including rescue battalion. Each battalion has trucks, engine, and maybe a squad within their area. Rescues have their own battalion chief shown above, who by the way is an amazing driver! FDNY is broken down from the city, to divisions, to battalions, and finally individual apparatus. Hope this helps. Godspeed.

  • @Bayview471 Yeah that does help thanks!

  • Can I get some information about these monitors they have in the cabine?

  • I notice that most people switch over to a different lane but continue to roll along in that lane. Here in LA, most people pull over and come to a complete stop. Maybe because the streets are a little less crowded here.

  • luv the rumbler

  • What's up with the school bus?!?!?!?!?!?

  • @johnanglopez

Guess he/she had the personal stereo blasting the sound full power...

Or deaf in the left ear?

  • @johnanglopez Well a school bus transports kids back and forth from school to their house or a bus stop. So you can only assume it is doing what all school buses do. I hope i answered your question to the best of my abilities. .

  • Okay, I have been a bit nerdy, I have made the exact route they drove in Google maps. Here is the link, but since I cant post any links in the comments, I have made it in code.I think you all can decipher it :) bit(dot)ly(forward slash)coDtT9

  • @impauldk

Thanks for the link, works fine.

What nice language ("Denne rute indeholder vejafgifter.") is that there?

    Some scandinavian, but which one?

  • @jimmiandfunny Hey there. Yup the language is scandinavian, danish actually...my language :)

  • does anyone know why FDNY Battalion Chief's have 2 lightbars in the back and 1 in the front?

  • йяыррпёухщыътссу!!!

  • fucking schoolbus

  • what happend?

  • Adorei seu video,merece nota 10

  • does the siren alternate automatically or do you press something

  • I wish I could drive like that...I'd undoubtadely have my license by now. Lol. XD

  • whats this free avatar bullshit?!

  • "rescue 3 responding" must be big

  • wow nice driving and (343)

  • God Bless the FDNY! On this day, Saturday September 11, 2010, we remember the 343 brave firefighters who gave it all so others may live 9 years ago. Heroes live forever! NEVER FORGET!

  • @raiden711 340 Firefighters, 2 Paramedics, and the Department Chaplain=343

  • @devildoc225 Your a Navy corpsman with the FMF?

  • @Eagle249 Yes. Chief Petty Officer (Fleet Marine Force)

  • @raiden711 it was on 2001 ^^

  • @Bomann502. Note the "9 years ago" part. Anyways, thank God for the US Navy Seals and all those who serve in the US Military. Osama Bin Laden is finally dead and brought to justice. And of course God Bless the FDNY, NYPD, PAPD and all first responders.

  • Whats that noise at 1:00?

  • @TrainWatcher1993 yeah that was weird

  • @theFDRS train

  • @TrainWatcher1993 that's the default start-up sound for Windows, probably from the MDT

  • Wow.. Drivers in NYC are real jerks.. Passing a emergency vehicle and not pulling over and ignoring the siren.. LOL xD

  • wow, I could never even think about riding calls in that kind of traffic. We get mad when we find a car infront of us whos doing 10 over speed limit out here! lol Good driving!

  • watch out for the school bus

  • What is that phone ringing?

  • @ouroxmysox in stead of radios now the batalion chiefs have phones built in faster communication

  • @itscrowley22 Oh makes sense, Thank You so much

  • @ouroxmysox It is the Cad system recieving messages from dispatch

  • @1998disco72 I meant the MDT recieving messages from CAD

  • @ouroxmysox

That phone ringing is when they have an update on their MDT's alerting the crew that there is more information available.

  • siren, is that a touch master?

  • WHY EVERY VID HAVE COMMERCIAL

  • They should write down all license plates of people not moving for emergency vehicles like some in this do and send them all a ticket of 250 dollar each time they don't move. I bet next time they see a emergency vehicle they will fly aside.

  • @Wesleytjuh1234 For NYC they would probably write 5k everyday.

  • @Wesleytjuh1234 thats not bad too much to think a bout tho but that would make the city alot of money expsely taxis who use the engine behind them as an excuse to run a red light

  • @Wesleytjuh1234 I more support having a paintball gun and shooting them with hot pink paintballs, then every cop can pull them over.

  • @Wesleytjuh1234 excellent concept but instead of writing down the numbers which would be impossible just get high def dash cams that could read plates and thay'll thank themselves in the long run.

  • @Wesleytjuh1234 ill put my foot up your ass

  • LOL thought the worst place for emergancy vehicle traffic was London till I saw this

  • Comment removed

  • what was the nature of this call? was it a fire alarm or something?

  • @TREYBELL Nope. It was a Male that feel from a something. E84 L34 R3 SQD41 R3 BC16 and Rescue Battalion are on this. Some EMS units, and probably even more FDNY units.

  • @TREYBELL Sounded like a construction accident.

  • at 6:58 there is NYPD 9:26 stupid ass bus driver 9:50 there is a NOOSE Police Cruiser

  • Very cool, feels like you're right with them on a ride along. The truck drivers (well, most of them) deserve some kudos from their professional driving given their tight situation. Sometimes I get the feeling the New Yorkers just don't care about their fellow citizens. Perhaps I am wrong, but from what I see there is a rather callous attitude to emergency vehicles.

  • @tbsla13 Wrong.. New York CITY drivers don't care.... I'm from upstate NY. Emergency vehicles get a lot of respect up here.

  • good response time and i thought it was a safe one two good g\job

  • jeez, civilians need to get THE LEAD OUTTA THERE ASS AND GET OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY!!!

  • where doe's this journey start- why are there a number of engines and ladders also?

  • @frontline88888888 They started at "The Rock". It's the FDNY's training facility and Fire Academy. Some of those apparatus belonged to Training. Some could have been companies on the island to train. Special Operations Command "SOC", is located on this island.

  • Nice to see the NYPD cop at 6:57 not pulling over for you guys.
