  • to me its not a allusion because when he put put 1 arc on the of the other 1 it wasn't in the middle

  • My Internet is so slow if a video is 2:00 or more it takes 30 minutes to load 0_0 weird huh?

  • @anubuis123 sorry bud !

  • They lean the top arch over to the side more than the bottom one so the bottom arch looks bigger

  • hey they arc is of a larger circle

  • I CAN'T STOP WATCHING THESE!

  • @kman618 i agree

  • mind blow

  • 1:55 The old guy reminds me soooo much of the film "Elf"

  • its cos the arc thats further away from our eyes feels smaller due to confusion

  • @MQhelper no.

Its about the measurements of the bottom. You see the inside curved is always smaller than the outside curve. So when the two plates are placed upon each other, you are comparing the outside vs inside curve, thus giving the result that the plate below is bigger, which is not.

you are only comparing outsider curve (outside is bigger) and inside curve (inside is smaller)

  • "oh for heaven's sake", lol

  • Lol

  • come on steve. stick to chemistry. not the common man's amusement

  • the answer is that the top one is acualy placed a little bit bihind the bottom one. if you notice the left side of the bottom one you'll see that it's tilted and the side of the top folows that tilt that's why it seems smaller... so it's the way you hold them that makes the illusion

  • he cant do it all day long eventually he'll cut all in like 2 minutes

  • i dont see it

  • isnt that fun?

  • the explanation is very simple, when you look at the two aches, your eyes automatically measure them but what they are measuring is the the bottom side of the top arch and the top side of the bottom arch, your mind takes a long time to adjust to seeing objects like that

  • @Geaxuce wrong. the answer is that the top one is acualy placed a little bit bihind the bottom one. if you notice the left side of the bottom one you'll see that it's tilted and the side of the top folows that tilt that's why it seems smaller...

  • @Geaxuce

You just repeated what he said in the video...... good job, you converted sound into text.

  • er... "is the bottom banana bigger than the top 1?"

  • @KanasaiZai95 lol

  • They have other slides on the back of it.

  • You people are so stuipid it's all in how you hold them

  • damn glitches... the government should patch ehm

  • 2:11 is a wrong pose O__o

  • "In his never ending search for fun things to do at the grocery store Steve Spangler has a science illusion that is guaranteed to fool some unsuspecting person in the produce department."

And this is what he came up with? What a sad, strange existence.

  • aww i wanted them to continue cutting....

  • wtf who uses plates like that at dinner...

  • @nufcmarly umm i do? >:(

  • @nufcmarly A Lot Of People! Some People Arn't Lucky Enough To Have REAL Plates At Dinner,So Shut Your Mouth.

  • 1:30 Thats what she said.....

  • lol me too

  • omg i showed this to my friends now they call witchcraft

  • OMG you solved world hunger!!!

  • omg so stupid. they're just the same angle so when on top of one another one will always be shorter

  • what a dumb! just hold the two pieces of cardboard at different angles

  • that is cool :0

  • waste of 4 dollars?

  • it's not illusion it's the older man dumbness

  • It's not an illusion, really. The reason the top one looks smaller is because he's holding it off-key; it looks like it's all aligned perfectly because the sides line up, but when you look at the reference points he's not holding them perfectly vertical. If you look at, say, the bottom-left corner of the piece, where the arc starts to carry along the bottom of the figure, he's not holding them both at the same level.

  • @TheHijackreaper

its because there are two arcs on one cardboard and the sides are cut horizontally making them different sizes

u compare <1 with <3 and it will be the same size

but <1 is not equal to <2

has nothing to do with the way hes holding them

  • stretch my banana

  • 0:36 to "gas prices" you said that backwards you said Yellow was bigger than the red one when the red one was bigger than the yellow one 0_0

and yet no one notices? .............wow

  • ...Too...awesome...

  • Its not an optical illusion. he isn't even positioning them correctly in the first place, an untrained eye will not spot the fact that he flushes the top("shorter") one all the way to the left, way past the beginning point of the bottom("longer") one.

  • they are both the same sides but he puts the yellow or red one at different posittions he pulls the red one farther back then the yellow one or the other way around

  • its cuz hes holding the left bottom edge of the top one to the left top edge of the bottom one. if that makes any sense. if he places teh two right on top of each other, they wouldnt look soo different

  • its not magic its because it bended

  • 8 ppl didnt see the illusion

  • three point one four one five nine

  • @jacksawild pi?

  • thats like holding cards in your hand all spread out

  • This news caster must be a dumbass if he doesn't know how this works.

  • Its the same with my M4 magazines lol I got so much time on my hands but hey when your waiting for your convey to get on the move you get bored

  • "which one of my banana's is bigger ma'am?"

  • coolest thing ever!

  • From the angle we see at 0:40 it's reversed :(

  • ummm.....is he color blind because its suppose 2 be the oppisite lol im jk

  • at 37 seconds the yelliow is bigger then the red one??? he got confused

  • It's a clever illusion, but it's just basically the angle of the arc.

  • u can use normal paper lols ...

  • 0:37 HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN??!!!

  • lol its sooo funny cuz his voice came out of no where

  • learn to talk!! lolz u said the yellow one is bigger than the red on then u switched it and said the same thing?? lol

  • that is so sick!

  • @akus100
