  • Great video, and one that explains very well just how strange offence the tv companies can take as to us homaging their material on YouTube. Eurovision has become a spot of that, too, which is even more ridiculous. But that they should force you to shut down your blog is nothing short of human-rights violation to me.

  • This was one of my favorite channels, and now it's all over. I am so sad...

  • Funny how the invested interest want to compared our way of life to other countries, i. e. communist China and the former Soviet Union by pointing out their strict censorship. They don't seem to grasp that with this DRM garbage and just the innocent ability to relive our foundest memories, this country is turning more like the Soviet Union and China everyday!

  • My god, it looks like nantoreturns's account has now been suspended! Me so sad!

  • He's back under a new screenname (NantoVision), actually. *hugs*

  • Good to know. You all are so brave to keep coming back after being forced "off the air" or even threatened to be. If it were me I wouldn't have the chops for it.

  • I do - seriously - have to admit I have been wondering when YouTube is going to confront me about posting and infringing Sunshine Again videos that fall under my own copyright. After seeing a song I composed, published, sang, recorded and produced mis-titled as belonging to another artist's name by Gracenote - nothing will make you angrier as an artist - I gave up all hope of expecting common sense anymore from the corporations. Sooner or later, I'll be yanked for infringing my own material.

  • Ouch...there are twists in that logic that make a roller coaster look arrow-straight. Here's hoping you don't end up having to send YouTube a letter from your attorney!

  • The end of corporatism is nigh and the illogical corporations know it. Watch how bloodthirsty and hysterical the RIAA is behaving at present, suing everybody in sight like a burned cat lashing out in all directions. This is how it ends, folks. It's like watching a corrupt ship full of rats finally go down. Patience...

  • I wish I could agree with you, but I only see things getting worse.

  • Passionate and beautiful. And every word true. Five stars.

  • Now veoh deleted my account for uploading other copyright infrigement.I sure hope that doesn't happen to you.

  • I was going to delete that account anyhow--but I pray that doesn't happen on Stage 6!

  • By the way, I deleted the Veoh account myself last week; I'll be spreading the Sesame stuff out between here and Stage 6.

  • Now I had to take off every Sesame Street vid I uploaded on veoh down due to a copyright complaint on one of my Sesame Street vids.I think Veoh won't allow Sesame Street anymore.

  • Crud...it's a good thing I am not using my account there anymore!

  • Well,I'm having a good time on veoh as where your clips are now,but there's something they could really fix there.Spam.I've been getting alot of comments from 5-6 guys advertising free movies.

  • Between the long download times and the spam on Veoh, I got fed up and moved the fan-club channel over to another online broadcast site (Stage 6). If anyone wants the URL, please send me a private message since I can't type it here!

  • Back in the 70s, we had 7 or 8 channels and the majority of the programming is now considered "classic". Did people try harder? Did corporate let creative do their jobs unhindered? The classic television clips are one of the redeeming qualities of the internet. This feels exactly like the selfish kid who nelgects some toy in the corner and another kid comes over, wipes the dust off the toy and starts playing with it- 2 seconds later, selfish kid comes over and wants his toy back...

  • I am sick and tired of corporate ruining everything. I loved all your classic Sesame Street clips which I can't seem to find anywhere. I went to watch my Sesame Street playlist today and more than half are no longer available. Am I getting too old or has television, music, movies, etc. been tragically altered!?! How can we have 1,000 cable channels and nothing on!?!

  • Speaking of suspension Chigu2112 just got suspended.

  • Yeah, I read that on Muppet Central; we ought to convince him/her to change sites, since a collection like that is a gold mine to Sesame fans.

  • I hope he/she signs up with a new account but just uploads the Sesame Street vids so he/she won't get in trouble.

  • jonnytbird has been suspended, too.

  • I thought that when a users account is deleted the profile icon is a gray picture of a person filming something.

  • No, that icon just means "no videos on this account yet"; deleted users have it because all their videos get deleted too.

  • I could understand companies wanting to stop the posting of their shows if the shows were complete programs of high quality. None of that is the case with ISNorden and almost all others getting hosed these days! This is all still a case of the complete failure of major media to have made the proper planning back when the Net went "commercial." With the exception of a very few people, YouTube will soon have nothing left worth watching and end up being yesterday's news...good riddance!

  • I'm still looking for a decent alternative site that won't "hose" me for posting Sesame Street clips...the one I've been using takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r to download something once I've published it, so most fans think the other site is worthless. :-(

  • One more thing: I didn't even know the Classic Sesame DVD set was out! When did this finally happen? I've been waiting for it for, what? 20 years??? YouTube access definitely wouldn't stop me from buying that. Is the set available everywhere or only by special order somewhere?

  • Sesame Workshop sells the DVD set on their site, although I'm sure most video stores would sell it too. (By the way, they're releasing another set of old episodes and clips on DVD this October!)

  • How do I join the fan club? That is, if there's room for "special needs" folks like myself who are a bit behind the curve on internet skills.

I just found these precious, precious lost clips a couple of months ago and they've made my lonely little world so much brighter. Now as soon as I start figuring out this whole YouTube thing, The Man lunges out and snatches it away. *sniffle*

  • You join by commenting in the fan club's blog (keep it polite and clean, please); I'll send the address in a private message, since YouTube's software blocks any video comments with web addresses in them. If you'd like to write articles/contribute clips yourself, I can guide you through that as well.

  • I loved all your videos! I may have even borrowed some for my channel on Stage 6. Come to stage 6! You will find a new audience there who appreciate classic Sesame street!

  • I just created an account last night (and found your username). I'm having a few technical problems over there, but if you give me the name of your channel I'll drop by and take a look.

  • cdkscully

  • I just uploaded a few clips to Stage 6 today (and started praying that they won't notify Sesame Workshop...*fingers crossed*). Take a look when you get the chance!

  • Awesome! :) I friended you on there!

  • Your videos brought back so many memories. Even the old school DVD doesn't have some of the stuff you've uploaded.

  • The irony of this is that I went out and bought the Sesame Street Old School DVD set after I found your clips on YouTube. If I had never seen them here, I would not have given a thought to the old clips and and gone on to purchase the DVD set for my children to watch. Shame on those who are doing this.

  • Very well put. Peace.

  • I made a similar video about this if you wanna see it.

  • Lets face it,Youtube is now officially GooTube.I bet when all those clips are taken down the title of the website is gonna be called gootube.

  • well the fact of the matter is, if they even sold these old clips - shows on DVD then i would buy them. but a lot of the things on youtube which i go look up aren't on the Sesame Street DvD's because they werent popular enough to make it onto a Dvd.

i think they should sell the shows like most tv shows do, by season. that would be pretty awesome. as much as i look up things on youtube, i own a lot of tv shows on DVD - especially cartoons. but these old clips from the 70s, its rare to find!

  • It is by far an absolute shame that these clips have to come down. It's not like wer'e trying to make any money out of this or take any away (as you said). All we are doing is reminising about our early childhood days. It's one of the reasons I joined YouTube in the first place. There are people here that do stuff 10 times worse than we ever do, and yet they are allowed to continue while our clips get erased just because of some dumb logo.

  • Well done, ISNorden!

  • Actuallt PBS Sprout is okay to upload. But you're right about Noggin and Nickjr.
