  • Awkward silence? :s

  • I love it! It's so classy!!

  • Less 1920s, more panda.

  • Wow, beautiful look! Can't wait to try it with my new 20s-ish top/tunic :D

  • unique style , very exotic and hard to pull off.

  • Is modern goth style in any way inspired by this sort of 20's kohl-heavy look?

  • I love this

  • THIS IS MY EVERYDAY MAKE UP :D

  • makeup tips guys :-) jojobeautyadvice.blogspot.com

  • Wow, that looks amazing, wish women wore this today and not that crappy one color which they apply by faceplanting into mud.

  • love the video just wish there was sound

  • fascinating.I can't get any sound though. all the other You Tube videos have sound, why not this one??

  • wow!!

  • fantastic!

  • ehhh.....

  • sooooooooooooo gooood!!!!!!!

  • I would love to do this look for Halloween, this was great, thanks!

  • I can't believe women thought this looked good. They look like the walking dead or something, LOL. They used to shave their eyebrows off then pencil them in too. Crazy. I'm dressing as a Flapper Girl for Halloween and this tutorial is perfect. Thank you.

  • @lpcookie1 well, maybe in 80 years people will think the same about today's fashion, what we consider beautiful changes rapidly. and I think think 1920s makeup is really beautiful with it's cute lips, sexy tired eyes and unusual brows.

  • @lpcookie1 Just look at the 1980s with the big bushy eyebrows and teased up Aquanet/Aussie Sprunch Spray hair. Or the nineties and that awful brown lipstick and shapeless sack-like dresses and torn jeans. Beauty standards have always been goofy.

  • Excelent!

  • women didnt wear purple lipstick in the 20s For god sakes

  • @Patrick3183 O relax, Patrick. It's merlot, not purple...and she did a damn fine job. ;)

  • @Patrick3183 Of course they did

  • WOW!

  • I love the lip color.

  • That's so pretty, I'd love to try to do my makeup like that.

  • @JeanneMcFadden ... oh thanks for answering my question. I going to give that I try, because I do have some problems with fallout. Thanks again!

  • HUBBA HUBBA

  • She looks stunning.. i really want to try this look for this 1920's themed

party we have coming up but will it look good on tanned skin.. i have a very olive skin tone.. please suggest. :)

  • this looks like the real stuff!

  • Amazing!! So glad to have a tutorial on this. She looks like a completely different person! :D

  • it looked a little weird on the beginning but then it turned out so great! :D

  • awww this is lovely :) just perfect

  • BRAVO!! VERY GOOD JOB! WONDERFUL!

  • In 1962 I asked my grandmother, "Were you a flapper?"

    "Certainly not!"

Her indignence I did not quite understand.

    But then later,

her indignence added to my understanding.

  • Wonderful! I'm going to a 1920s themed party tonight, this video is going to be a great help! But the part with shadow just beneath the eyebrows looks very difficult...

  • Wonderful! I'm going to a 1920s themed party tonight, this video is going to be a great help! But the part with shadow just beneath the eyebrows looks very difficult...

  • Fabulous. Beautifully done.

  • @TheArcaneMystery it's just a loose powder. She put it on to catch any fall out from the dark eyeshadow coz then you can just brush away any eyeshadow that drops onto your cheeks :)

  • Fashions is something keep repeating, trust me, it will comeback in the future.

  • Does anybody know what that powder was that she put under her eyes, then wiped off with the big kabuki brush? What is it? and what was its purpose? Sorry I'm new to make-up.

  • This is just perfect! My Mother in Law has a Roaring 20's theme Naval Ball tonight and she wanted me to do her makeup. Thanks so much!

  • omg those lips! perfection

  • wow so gorgeous and so simple

  • こえ~よ

  • Whoa. That's art.

  • LOVE the look.....just gorgeous indeed!

  • DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET THAT BIG KABUKI FROM PLEASE LET ME KNOW THANKS!!

  • thats how i do my makeup.

  • Loved the eyes look but the eyebrows looked more 80's. I thought the eyebrows were super thin in the '20s. Either way, fantastic! :)

  • That was really good but if I'm not mistaken the 20s eyebrows use to be thiner than these but it was good

  • *needs to practice applying lip liner* xD

  • Bravo !! She is gorgeous !;;;;;;;;;;;;Everything about the twenties was like living in a dream world, for many people......until............THE CRASH ! then came the DEPRESSION !

  • Unfortanately you have to already be super gorgeous to pull off the 1920's flapper make up look

  • muito 10...mega tudo!!!

  • this is...it just WOWed me away.

  • im so high wooooooooooaw

  • ホラー映画の女優じゃないんだからさ(笑)

  • my god, the model is sooooo beautiful...

  • This is amazing. I wish everyone wears their makeup like this.

  • @Onion15505 Haha, me too. I wish everything was like the 1920s. But sadly that will never happen. :(

  • One word.

    Amazing.

    - 3

  • This would work on stage but way too heavy for the street or even a club unless it's a Goth one.

  • @bjstranahan back in those days they would go to a club like that. it was the norm.

  • now THAT are smokey eyes !!!!!! great job!

  • Perfectly adorable.

  • too dark around the eyes

  • no its not

  • absolutely love this

  • What beautiful green eyes. Good video.

  • the lipstick was too dark...flappers wore very bright reds...it only looked dark when it was filmed cuz it was black & white...and their eyes werent so blackened; it was dark but not as dark as this artist made them...this artist made it look goth

(my great granma taught me this when i was a little girl)

  • oh gosh, I don't think I could ever get my makeup to look anywhere near as amazing as that

  • Absolutely wonderful.

  • Looks very striking with her pale green eyes! <3

  • LOVE

  • I have watched this video more than a 100 times and still cant make this =[

  • applaude to this... its awesomeness!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think that ladys goth

  • amazing

  • Oh... wow. Such a huge pleasure to watch the artist create that look. Work of art and so, so very beautiful.

  • that's a looooot of eyeshadow...it looks gothic, but its cool.

  • @frenchkitty you have to remember that what hey used back then was literally coal and charcoal powders so it was difficult get anything to be light. But your right it does look gothic, but in a good way :D

  • This is the style my grandma used when she was young she looked beautiful in the makeup i loved this look :)

  • it's def. 1920s style but really vamped up! It is not how they actually wore their make up, but it looks really awesome!

  • That model is freaking hot!

  • anyone knows who the model is?

  • Flapper style, but with ultra glamour!

And yes I agree 100 percent beauty products can be extremely over priced. did you hear MAC is giving out a LOT of $250 gift cards?

They recently posted this link on their facebook fanpage on saturday, copy and paste this link.

  • Eyebrows are super super off. Way too fuzzy. They don't look drawn on enough.

  • she's so beautiful!

  • most eyeliners i use ontop smeer and vanish so i just use liquid eyeliner ontop.

wow!!! shes so pretty!! but why were they obsessed with big eyebrows??

  • THE BEST SMOKEY EYE I'VE SEEN IN MY LIFE...Now this will definitely work on my big eyes..usually girls on do smokey eyes on small eyed girl but I love this thanx soo much!!

  • Well put together and a very fine result. I find watching these make up tutorials quite therapeutic.

  • LOVED IT. I thought that the use of brushes and the technique did the make up so much justice. NICELY done.

  • Cool

  • WOW! this looks AMAZING! I especially love the shape of the lips! thanks so much for uploading this!!

  • Ha, ha, just in time for halloween, she looks like corpse.

  • @peteo100 Ha, ha, well at least you won't need anything for Halloween you're all set the way you are.

  • @sillbill94 So true, so true.

  • now THATS a kabuki brush

  • What color is the lipstick? Its wonderful.

  • @duskfantasy2112 bright red

  • I love the 20' style, I hink it's very femenin, beautiful, sometimes radical but it makes women just look pretty, and even if you don't heave perfect mesuraments, long legs, or perfect breasts, it just looks elegant on everyone!!! I would like to wear this kind of make up, but the black between the eyes just makes my eyes look to close to the nose. Thats why I normally put more light colors on the inside, the black outside.

  • wow...this model just has the face for 20s makeup! Her eyebrows, deep eyes, and nose

  • fierce !!!!!

  • notice what the person has in their description...it says....got it from Helena Rubinstein lets start harassing swinginglance then for copying Helena! and Kohai81...ur just a big doorknob like honestly...taking all of this to such an unnecessary level.

  • @tazzy191 Perhaps I just don't like the cunt and i'm just trollin :). Irregardless to what you all may think, about me, her and this video. I asked that she point out where she got the inspiration, got flamed, then she deleted the comments. So i'm made out to be the bad guy :) Jumping into a situation where you're blind to the entirety of the incident, makes you just as big of a doorknob as I. This also goes for thoushaltbefierce.

  • is this actually in the 1920..like did they make this..omg im so stupid..nvm

  • @thoushaltbefierce then please elaborate to me the photo that she got 'inspired' from looks barely like the style she used. And how it seems like she just googled a random flapper picture. Defend her all you want. Sorry for offending the groupies of a mediocre mua

  • @SarahVictor I'm just saying that this was posted way before hand and the proper credits should go to who did this style this way. I am not saying by any means that this is the only way, but for how many similarities proper credits should be given. I also understand that you're has voice and instructions of how to apply it, but its no reason to take it as your own. Irregardless, this can't be considered harassment just because I flagged your video until you give proper credits or have permission

  • @Kohai81 As I was watching this I was like 'this is almost exactly like sarahvictors video'

  • @Kohai81 you are fucking stupid. do you not understand that the techniques used are extremely common when going for this type of look? Swinginglance didnt do them first, make them up, or make an original video. They used a technique, SarahVictor happened to use the same technique. She didn't 'copy' this video, so get the fuck over it.

  • @Kohai81 why should this person get credit for this look when they simply got it from another website as stated? Yes after watching this i agree that theres too many similarities in the make up application for it to not have been taken from this video.

  • @Kohai81 You have got to be kidding me. Grow up. Somehow I knew you would take it to this level. If you continue to do this it can be seen as harassment towards me.

  • @Kohai81 Get over your self Swinginglance does not own the technique NOBODY DOES!!! SO WHAT if Sarah just happened to have done it the same way get over your selves and grow the hell up and any how Sarah's video is better she has actual voice description on what to do unlike this one it's silent

  • This is by far the most accurate 1920's makeup video here on YouTube. (I also couldn't get enough of that currant lip color- it is to die for!)

  • Is there supposed to be sound for this video?

  • que lindo maquillaje yo siempre lo uso es bello todo de los años 20s me encanta incluso ese corte de cabello :D

  • Great make up, but as an average person then seems nearly impossible for me to achieve. This has give me wonderful ides though. Thank you.

  • really inspiring!

  • Comment removed

  • looks ridiculous
