@jimmytoni2000 I own the Prairie Blaster and Frank has the CS-24. The Prairie Blaster is a bit louder, but weighs a LOT more. I like the CS-24 better because Frank is the one packing it around and not me! LOL They are both very good units. You would be happy with either one.
@BgBamBoo oh i live up the canyon from auburn and my back yard has everything from lions to bear to deer and my yard backs up to BLM land and the river
hey thanks im new to coyote hunting would a 17 hmr with polymer tips be okay or should i wait to get a larger cal the 17 hmr is all i have and if i should get something larger what would you suggest im 13...thanks!
@airgunhunter456 A .17HMR would be a little light unless you could make your shots VERY close. And at those ranges I would recommend a shotgun. I would recommend something along the lines of a .223, .22-250, .243,etc.
@BgBamBoo i know a coyote is a bit bigger then a fox, but in Australia. a .17HMR is more then adequate for a fox. i call it the .17grenade because it just explodes when it hits rabbits and foxes
@airgunhunter456 A 17 hmr will be fine for anything under 200 yards, some people even use .22's for under 100 yards. I would look at a .223 next since your 13 the recoil is light and the cost to shoot isnt huge.
@1jiffy2pop3 Hi Ken. Yep...the call itself will hold 500 sounds! I have around 200 on mine. The main ones I use are "Lightning Jack" and then after I shot I hit "Pup in distress". I sometimes use "Snow Shoe Hare". Those are three "main" sounds I use. Take care,Stan
Thanks, this is very helpful. I am just starting out coyote hunting in Indiana. I'm 50 and I deer hunt w/ a portable stand ans carry all my stuff in 2 fanny packs I hang off of it on my back and totals about 40-50 lbs. It's great to see a visual on what you take for coyote hunting.
@friedmarlin5 No problem. Coyote hunting is a lot of fun. And it sounds like you probably have most everything you need now from your deer hunting equipment except for a call. Please subscribe to my channel. I will be posting up some more coyote hunting videos soon I hope. Take care
Does anyone know what the range is on the remote?

@BgBamBoo I've killed coyote at 150+ yards with a .17 HMR. It's one of my favorite guns. You would be surprised by the accuracy and power of it.

I believe you said you have about 200 sounds for your prairie blaster and only use about 3. Which 3 do you most often use?
