  • The basic answer is yes. But the sound will differ if you get equal vs unequal length headers. Equal length gets rid of the rumble, unequal keeps a little. You may want to double check this though...

  • wait so if you get rid of the stock headers you lose the boxer engine rumble?

  • Good questions. It had 3" exhaust and down pipe which is why is came in at about 300hp on the dyno. Usually full stock is about 290hp on the dyno. I did not add a chip, just headers and a reprogram of the stock computer. Oh, and I guess there is a blow-off valve...

  • So the car wasn't tuned before this, right? So essentially it got chipped + headers? What about the rest of the exhaust?

  • It was mostly headers and tuning...

  • did the equal length headers really make that much of a difference? or was it because you already had mods that were finally given their potential because of the equal length headers...

  • i see no fun in silent subaru, sorry

  • Fuck the cops. they shouldve realized it was a subaru, gave you a free blowjob, and went on their way.

  • no more boxer rumble though....

  • That's awesome, they said it was too loud, so you just gave it more power. Perfect compromise!

  • thanks for the no sound vesrion

  • lol, it's still loud, but not too loud for the cops. ;)
