Why are not the Croats and the Serbs the same nation, although speaking (almost) the same language? Because of the inner sense or feeling of belonging to a particular nation! So is with the Macedonians. Even if they speak a Slavic language, can you, or anyone else, be so sure they are not genetically closer to the ancient Macedonians than e.g. Greeks from the Crete?

He take croatian language and grammar beacuse serbians did not have standard language, they spoke old slavian dialect, most of them was illiterate. He was born in croatia but he was serbian.
