I know this song very well because it is one of the most well known songs in Laos. In Lao, it is called "Tai Dam Lam Phun" it was sung by "Gor Viseth" a famous Lao singer and musician. But I believe that Shan people and Lao people share a much deeper root than just our spoken language. I believe that we are of the same ethnic origin which was established many centuries past in the central and northern IndoChina peninsula.
