Richard is right, it's too hard to live just of the music, and i've heard a lot of metal musicians say the same thing in interviews....from your albums you don't get enough money (record companies do)....the only thing that might give you enough money to live is from the touring...that's why the bands spend most of his time touring and touring as much as they can.

I think its harder to make it big in metal becaused its such a niche genre that really tries to make it mainstream but usually fails because its not friendly to everyones ear.. but i love it.
