First thing Is I am not trying to prove what the bible says since most of it is bull honky created by ourselves from ancient times but some stories do have some basis in fact. One thing is there have been found but not publicly displayed yet is Egypt had lots of different sized tuning forks from small to very large so that's what gets me thinking something like that was used to lift or possibly used to drill or cut stones since a lot of evidence relates to sonic drilling.
do you think this acoustic levitation could have been made and used on a much much larger scale? as in the pyramids? Ive heard some theories as to the stone were lifted using sound, not anti gravity but levitation. I know this is a very small scale but do you think it could be possible given the right equipment to make stones (the size on the ones in the pyramids) levitate?
@ased215er I am also looking into this. vibrating an object does cancel weight. Just like in the bible with Jericho making the walls fall with sound. Has been around a long time as with other stories or myths in other cultures. looking to find if any artifacts would work for this and believe we are on the right track. who knows it could be staring us right in the face as the djed columns! especially since it looks like plates at the end or similiar how tuning forks work once striked vibrate.
@obsidian231sf not to be contrary, but Jericho's walls falling was probably a result of resonance. However I don't think you can scientifically prove miraculous events. For all we know God just wanted them to play as a testament of their faith, and He destroyed the walls. However, there is no limit to the amount of weight acoustic levitation can lift with enough vibratory sound. We may be close to atmospheric anti-gravity with this technology. Looking forward to anti-g shoes!
I too am looking to do a similar experiment for my physics lab. If you could please let me know a model number for the transducer you used, that would be great. Thanks!
I'm want to do this for my senior project. Please can you send me a guide or a list of materials that I would need to this for my physics class? Thanks!

@ased215er That doesn't SOUND plausible to me.

Hi,
I too am looking to do a similar experiment for my physics lab. If you could please let me know a model number for the transducer you used, that would be great. Thanks!

Yeah, send me what to do for this, too. I want to do this for my phys project. How possible would it be for a freshman?

What frequency? Is it linear sound. What type of transducer did you use piezo or manetic?

~20 KHz, top end of the hearing spectrum.
We used two washer-shaped piezos.
The annoying squeal in the video is nothing compared to actually being there ;)
