@PikaMewPokeTrainer I've been seeing more and more of that lately. Younger people getting into the stuff that I enjoyed as a kid (I'm 32, btw). Just goes to show how timeless some of these shows are.
I had a nightmare one time that I was sent to deliver a package to Mrs. Rabbit in Maple Town. I reluctantly went through the door to Maple Town. When I went through the door the stupid animal characters danced and sung "Can't wait to get to Maple Town," so then I quickly went to the Maple Town School House, and gave Mrs. Rabbit the package. When I tried to leave, the door was gone. Then, a bunny said, "Once you get into Maple Town you can't leave."
The little live action sequence before the episode is creepy as hell. That woman needs professional help. I used to love this show. This is one of the first shows I ever remember watching. I vaguely remember the toy commercials.
I remember one time we had these toys at my after school day care and someone I know pulled off the bulldog cop's hat. It was cool too because it looked like he had a flattop underneath. :P
sorry but... maybe you know about a movie of this anime... i want see that movies... i have ... evviva palm town... an some of aldea del arce.. but i want movies.
As a little boy I used to watch this with my sister. I remember my mom practically went broke buying her all of those little figures, furniture and that ginormous house!
LOL, there seems to be a timegap of 50 years among Maple Town and Palm Town. You can spot it even from Patty's undies (when she moved to her aunt in Palm Town she changed the old granny's bloomers for something more modern).
Yes! Not only Palm Town is more modern but even in a totally different place, on the seaside (not for nothing it's called PALM town), where we often can see furry girls in swimsuit.
OMG, I LOVED THIS SHOW AS A KID! I used to bust my a** to get home just to be able to catch at least the last 10 minutes of this show when they changes the time to show it as I got out of school. I WANT IT SO BAD ON DVD!
The figures and houses were great. I had the Mapletown Post Office and used it as a house for my Sylvanian family figures. Mapletown seemed to offer more value for money than Sylvanians..
The U.S version (Saban) has a character named "Ms. (or Mrs) Maple" but the French(IDDH) (& other version which were not distributed by Saban)( was more true to the original Japanese version.
I am SO glad this is on here, this was my favorite and I swear I have never met anyone else who watched it, no one believes me it existed!! I have proof now! Ahahaha :) THANKS!
If Saban shown the FINAL TRUE EPISODE of Maple Town (SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!) When Patty left Maple Town you can see on the hill the "mean" wolf with tears streaming his face! That episode WAS NEVER BROADCASTED IN THE U.S.A!

It's pretty awful, and pretty gay. Still, it's just a cute show for kids, and so I can understand why it seems silly now. I used to watch this back when I was about 6 or 7. The animals all seem to be on some kind of drugs or in some kind of cult. Look at their eyes.... heh heh
The sad thing is my sister and I use to watch this show as kids just to MST3K it. Since we both watched Robotech, we were especially vicious on Reba "Lynn Menmei" West, who voiced Patty Rabbit. We were very sorry to see the live-action lead in w/ Ms. Maple cut when it moved to Nick, heh-heh.
I agree there. I would relive my life over just to go back to those days in the 80's when the cartoons where happy instead of this junk thatsaround now.
I feel the same way! I pine for my childhood days watching these super great shows! They've all been replaced. *cries* I wish my daughter had programing like this to zombify her instead of most of the crap that's on today. (except for Hello Kitty and Spongebob! Can't get enough of that! LOL!)
I was a boy and didn't have the toys, but I did in fact love the cartoon. Back in 1989 I used to catch it every day at noon on Nick. I have two episodes on tape. Great memories. Was upset when this show was replaced by Fred Penner's Place.
wasn't my favorite show in the world, but i loved the toys when i was a kid. i had the couch, bed, tableset and a bunch of the bear and rabbit figures. good times!
Oh yes me and my sis had a vid- it consisted of Slyvanian familes- care bears and these- cant believe someone finally put the english opening up! ahh good days! ^^
Oh, my goodness. I think this is the show that I've been trying to remember for years. I used to have this little bus-shaped toy that would fold open front to back and you could play with the little characters inside the bus. I loved that toy and I thought it was "The Adventures of the Little Koala at first, but it didn't fit. So happy to see this.
This was one of my favorite show's of the 80's. Now watching this intro, it is just so cute. Omg, I wish could get it on DvD for my son, I think he would love it.
