I have a AverMedia CaptureHD, too. How can play on my TV and record on my PC simultaneous? My first thought was using two HDMI cables via HDMI (Y?) splitter so one pluged in my capture card and the other one in my TV. Wouldn't that work?

@MinosDaedalus Yes it does work. I record like that ;) look at "tricecams ep2" all those clips were recorded that way ;D I will send you a link to the splitter I bought in a PM ;)

Remember, you have to buy a splitter with power adaptar, without it won't work!

ich bekomme zwar ein bild aber alle hellen farben (rot,gelb,bäsch,...) werden alle in grün angezeigt.

Ehm hoffentlich antwortest du denn ich hab ne frage , ich zock jetzt mit einem VGA-HD Kabel auf meinem Pc Monitor.Könnte ich jetzt die PCI Karte in meinem PC reinschieben & & dann noch ein HDMI-Kabel in die PCI Karte und in meine Xbox reinschieben und dann würd alles klappen ?

Weil ich weiß ja HDMI ist Video & Sound aber ich bin mir nicht so sicher ob es klappen würde ^^.Würd ich über eine Antwort freuen :D

Ah Tatsächlich, danke ;). Da hatte ich wohl noch eine DVD auf der eine alte Version gepresst war :D. Werde mir nachher mal die neuerste Software saugen. PS: Qualitätstest mit 15000mbit (MPEG2) gibts auf meinem Channel ^^

@GahrProduction Ist kein Fehler, hab sie mir auch vor ner Woche gekauft und hab erfreut festgestellt, dass die neuste Software von AverMedia deutlich mehr Möglichkeiten gibt in welchem Format man aufnimmt, so ist jetzt neben MPEG2 15mbit jetzt bis zu 40mbit möglich, sowie direkt aufnehmen in H264 oder als AVI unkomprimiert oder als DivX/XViD. Damit ist dann wirklich max. Qualität möglich ohne den Umweg über FRAPS.

the trick is not to upload directly from the recorder- use avermedia's recorder then render it in sony vegas or in windows movie maker - just an idea

Did you get the Video file from the Capture card, or did you use another program like

Sony Vegas or AE to re-render it. Try rendering it with sony vegas if you havnt to get rid of the sound lag, Or thats what works for me.

The sound lag is because YouTube doesen't support MPEG2 very well, just convert it to any other File and your Fine. Also what recording programm are you using i keep getting damn Video Lag with my AMD Phenom Quad Core 4x2.800GHz. It's really kinda bugging me right now, any idea's what's up with that?

@Gibbonator42685 Ok, you will need to connect it to the tv to see the image (without lag) in addition to the unit, as well as this what you see on the tv screen will be the same if you split the feed. With your other question, whatever the setting out of the xbox is, the feed into the unit/tv is, the tv might not support it but thats how it works.

ok,i got the card i play on ps3 tho :| ...i know u gota use fraps but do u have to use fraps while ur playing?? it lags me like mad... i use my tv for both my pc and ps3.. i was trying playing the game right off avermediacenter and recording fraps at the same time..do i need an hdmi splitter or something to play in on my regular tv and not the media center itself and still record and play without lag?? thanks

If you dont meet the minimum required specs then your gameplay will be affected and the card might not even work in your PC. you can get rid of the Choppy video by using a different screen recorder such as Frapps. The reason the Aver software messes up the vid is because it only lets you have a max bitrate of 15000Mbps which is way under what you want for HD screen recording.

Yea I just uploaded a 7 minute video in 720 using the avermedia card and you tube also f'd up the sound. Plays back fine with the raw file.

Dude I have this same capture card. When I capture videos with it and go to play them back theres a lag in the video playback. I dont know if it is my computer that is too slow or what. What are your computer specs. Thanks in advance.

Your computer is having problems rendering the image. Either download the codecs for that file type or improve on system performance. Try uploading some to youtube and see if it is laggy. If it is, your computer has problems recording.

I think my PC processor is not fast enough to record in HD because when i play the videos on my mac there is still a lag and my mac has no problem playing 1080p.

Your having a recording difficulty mate. Try closing down everything that you dont use at recording and just having the program open. Then open up task manager and right click on the recording software and set it to high priority then try to record. See if it lags or not. Hope this helps mate.

Well I did what you said and it seemed to help a little. Now the video just seems to be a little choppy but kinda hard to tell. I still think its the computer speed: its a dual 1ghz AMD. But thanks for your help I learned something new.

Ich bin mir echt am überlegen mir diese Karte zu kaufen ich habe mir nun anfang des jahres eine playstation 3 slim gekauft und spiele sehr gerne mit meinen freunden Rock band 2 und wollte das ma gerne aufnehmen und bei youtube hochladen.... Das ist ganz einfach. Du musst einfach die Karte hinten in dein Pc reinschieben wo dein PCI-e Anschluss ist.

Du brauchst es nicht, aber wenn du kein guten PC hast dann ist immer eine kleine verzögerung auf dem Bildschrim. Wenn du auf deinen Fehreseher ohne verzögerung spielen willst, brauchst du dann ein Splitter.

This is not the Avermedia AverTv HD DVR. But the only difference is that mine has a port to watch tv. And no, this will not work with a laptop. And no, You will need a hdmi splitter to watch it on your pc and your tv.
