Ben and Sean totally missed the boat on this one. I'd have given the bracelet to Amanda. Now, think about it. Everybody loves her and would be pleased if she went all the way and won the $400k. And it's not creating a target on her because she's such a nice person that no one would want to vote her off. It's like Damien a couple of years ago. I remember Mel in particular sacrificing herself so he could stay. They could also give it to Bob for similar reasons.

I agree, but that was similar to what they did, those chose a nice person that they see as one of the weakest (so they reckon the bracelet comes BACK into play later) without making her an enemy (cos she's a sweety).

Good point.

However, I think they were more motivated to not alienate themselves with the choice than anything else.

This way their reason was positive and altruistic and they aren't heaping scorn on themselves like Nathan and Andrew have.
