@beckamoose you can take a camera in but only if it fits in your pocket once you get on the ride. everything that doesn't fit in a pocket has to be put in a locker.

Great vid! I would love to go there someday! It's funny your reaction to the prices, I'd be the same, but a wand would be a must buy for me and they have the teachers' wands too! It is ridiculous that the gift shops are so small. They are losing a lot of extra cash flow from that mistake!

All the stuff there is expensive!. My parents bought my sisters wands and I bought myself a owl plush.. really expensive if I said so myself. I didn't got to see much a while I was there, but that's because it was the day it opened that's why. I also wanted to try the butterbeer, but it was $20 each I think? idk, but yeah at least I got to ride the Forbidden Journey. I got some clips inside the castle too! lol

@caseadillas My favorite book is Prisoner of Azkaban too! When I went we definitely had to still wait in lines but we had to wait a hell of a lot longer than you did for Dervish & Banges. The wands weren't that cool I thought, apparently they're going to come out with different designs later on. The merchandise wasn't that well made and I thought it was way too expensive. I went when the HP convention Infinitus was in town, they had better merchandise I thought. Cheaper too.

I have to disagree with you on your rants, Adam. I mean, I do agree that the shops were small, but at the same time they'd be taking away from the experience. The shops in the books/movies were small, a bit cramped unfortunately. I was there on opening day [but didn't get INTO WW, finally got in on following Sunday], and you wouldn't believe the absolute MESS of it all! The lines were twice as long with the heat index being in the 100s. Absolute chaos!

I never expect the gift shops to go easy on my wallet, so we saved up for our gift shopping, spent about 300 on merchandise. It was a trip for us, mainly for me, my hubby HATES HP, but I LOVE HP, and he had just returned home from Iraq, so it was supposed to be something we blow money on lol

When I went the Wizarding world didnt open for two weeks :( also the Jaws ride was closed for renivation and the only way you would find out was to go right up ti the ride and if you were lucky spot this tiny sign that said chief Brody had closed the port. I was pissed!

And I still have to disagree with you about the merchandise. Yes I think the shops are too small, and its unfortunate that everything is pretty expensive, but I am glad they didn't cheapen the story/brand by slapping Harry Potter's name on cheap pieces of plastic to sell for $1.99. I love the merchandise selection, even if it is pricey.
