  • Tea Party exercised political influence and brough about change because they VOTE!! The Occupy movement will have to OCCUPY THE POLLING BOOTH or NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE.

  • @gov360dotorg your so old school, man. Voting is worthless until there's someone to vote FOR. Hey, do you want a sharp stick in the eye or a cattle prod in yer nose. You have Choose. You Have to You have to. ... More people should RUN. and more people should pay attention to the 3rd party candidates... but voting Dem or Rep is just a waste of time. They are both bought an paid for.

  • George Carlin said it best when he said that the one thing the "powers that be" don't want is a population of informed citizens. That is bad for their agenda bc they need to keep people stupid so they will follow along ... In this light was the creation of the false two party system paradigm of which the tea party almost slipped away from and OWS is struggling (against a police state financed by the elite)

It's my belief that the best solution is the proper exercise if the constitution.

  • aeinstein org slash organizations slash org slash FDTD dot pdf

Read this book: From Dictatorship to Democracy.

It has been credited for much of the strategies that have led to successful people's resistance movements across the world in recent years!

  • Why is it that all the occupiers have to be given words to chant and repeat at all their rallies? Is this because they're just good little sheep that think, do and repeat what they're told? No self-respecting tea partier would ever sit still for that. How embarrassing for OWS!!!!!!!!!

  • @PJ916 It's to enhance the level of sound so that everyone in the area can hear what is being said. Not all the occupy camps are allowed amplification equipment so a call and response is used.

  • OCCUPY LA here and I say tea party and OCCUPY come together to bring down the international bankers.

    OWS

  • @huntingtonbeachify as a staunch supporter of the tea party ows is just a movement I cannot get down with you peoples idea's on liberty and prosperity are just way to different from mines.

  • @MrMalcolm900 you must get down with us if we want to win. Lets agree with RON PAUL and the constitution brother :)

  • Good speech.

  • Ayn Rand was a fortune teller in her writings... Amazing.

  • Reminds me of David Koresh. Nice cult - when do they drink Kool Aid? Lawrence Lessig is one peculiar guy.

  • I swear... this Howley dude and Lessig's body language and the way they make eye contact just prior to Lessig is incredibly suspicious.

  • Great edit Flux (btw this is Rob) ~ I hope you don't mind my commentary: Prof. Lessig is selling a load of sh!t, here.

The crest that was the Tea Party movement had began by the hand splashing of Dick Army, Carl Rove, Glen Beck, Limbough, the anti-laborists of Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank and the Koch Bros.

The above are the makers of talking point Zombie-Cons that comprise the Tea Party.

The Corp.s and an eternally corrupt collective that hold public office are equally to blame

  • it was a bit wired at first like cult but the rest pretty good when Lawrence Lessig

  • What does the finger shaking mean at end of video?

  • @felipealvarez1982 It means that the agree with something.

  • I love all the people that can't see the dick even as it enters their asshole. Well, there are a great deal of dick to ass closet lovers in the GOP & their voting pool. No offence to open or closet beings with half a brain.

  • Can't wait to see how this all plays out. I think, unfortunately, it'll slowly peter out over time.

  • @BigBagsForRent We just can't think like that. We have to KNOW that change MUST happen. It's getting to a matter of survival at this point, and we're all in it together.

  • @BigBagsForRent Agreed.... as the cold winds blow through all of these cities. Vancouver might get a good strong turnout for a longer period of time because of the mild climate.... but alas, that is Canada - so who gives a *$)@!

  • The 99% have to convince the 53% that the 1% are screwing all of us.

  • @mcthorogood You are 100% right, and that's by far our toughest goal as far as I see it. We can convince ourselves much easier than we can convince the stereotypical Fox News viewer, however we need them the most. We need to find ways to bridge these cultural gaps and win them over. It won't be easy, and it won't be fun, but only after we've won their support can we expect any type of real change.

  • Oh brother, this guy is totally pie-in-the-sky. It's okay to have aspirations for newer and better things, but without using the methods we already have tat hand in the form of the vote and viable candidates for office who appeal to ordinary Americans none of the big changes he and others seek are going to occur. That's just the way it is.

  • Would you all please stop the repeating shit? You sound like a bunch of brain dead cultists.

  • @bweazel They are not allowed to use sound systems, so they repeat it in order to take the speeches to all the protesters and away.

  • @canalsoulclub I don't know where this rumor started up. It is perfectly legal to use a blow horn in NYC, maybe they're not allowed to set up a stage and have huge speakers, but a blow horn is fine. And it is like a cult. Because this same type of behavior has spread across the country at every occupy rally. Even in small groups in small cities, they are saying a few words and repeating it. Furthermore, in every video I've watched, you can hear the speaker perfectly, without the crowd repeating

  • @bweazel It's not a "rumor", the police specifically requested that the protesters don't use sound equipment, despite the law. Of course, the copying of that behaviour in small groups is stupid, but always remember that's it's about getting people OUTSIDE the protest to hear.

  • @canalsoulclub Who cares what they request? It's not against the law to use a megaphone. Sorry. Yes, you probably need a permit to set up a stage and speakers, but they don't need to do that. Clearly, it is not so people can hear the message, if they would just raise their voice they could easily get everyones attention. This is seriously cultish stuff. Sure, sure, you keep telling yourself it's to get people outside of the protest to hear, I'll keep telling myself it's brainwashing

  • @bweazel why don't you go down there with one and use it, then.

  • @canalsoulclub You know.... now that I think about it, you know what this really reminds me of? Kindergarten. Is snack and nap time up next? ;)

  • I could not agree with this awesome leader and awesome speech more.

  • I wonder if any thought-fascists walked by and yelled at Lawrence Lessig that he should get a job.

  • Why not use a microphone. I don't get it. The message is great but I couldn't here all of it very well because of the traffic in the background..........There is nothing wrong with being heard in public speaking. Use a mic next time.

  • This is what democracy looks like!!

  • @jimbo8691 Open forum discussions. Good to see engaged ppl at work.

Let´s hope this well meaning spirit prevails!

  • HUMAN NEED OVER HUMAN GREED

  • God Bless you and all your work!

  • The OWS is just an off-shoot of the Tea Party Movement. The TeaParty wants a return to sane governance - no bailouts, no crony capitalism, and a return to democracy. The OWS movement differs in that they seek to redistribute the wealth and the TeaParty seeks to improve everyone's wealth. A fundamental difference, but many of the OWS demands are in line with the TeaParty.

  • @MrJohngalt2011 "improve everyone's wealth."

By total deregulation which is one of the causes of this mess to begin with...

  • @RegioLunar NO ONE is talking about total deregulation. The President has made a reduction in regulation as part of his effort to increase jobs. Any small business owner will tell you in no uncertain terms that regulations and compliance issues are very costly. A friend of mine opened a small olive oil business on the main street of my city, she paid over $40,000 for compliance, fees and regulations. I ask you - is this encouraging more jobs and businesses or not?

  • this movement is not communists its every one. i love capitalism but the corruption within it needs to go. this man speaks sense we need to all be on the same side

  • Thanks for posting! :)

  • I don't think the Tea Party people want to hang with communists , marxists and anti semites .

  • @imN0Ttheone And i don´t think OWS wants to hang around with FOX news viewers..

  • @RegioLunar I doubt german socialists like you appeal to the average American either . Let me guess you want to kill all the jew bankers ?

  • Smart fellow. Burn down the Straw-Man !!! Come together in the middle and unite against the corruption.

  • What he said is very important, especially towards the end. Real change must come from the people as a whole, despite certain ideological differences. Everybody agrees that the people are the ones who should be in power, and that is solidarity. We can dispute conservatism and liberalism later, right now nobody is being heard or represented.
