  • i want to make one about the Cult of Islam.

  • The look of fear on that child's face being accused as a witch chilled my blood.

  • "Approximately 54 million Americans over the age of 18 do not believe in evolution". These must be the same idiots that Jay Leno interviews in his Jaywalking segment! You know, the ones that think the Eiffel Tower is in New York City, or the Civil War happened in the mid-20th Century!

  • 1:30 - All things are possible. So, no one who believes has ever prayed for that guy?

6:10 - A clear cut case of child abuse

6:55 - Believe in Religion because mit's 'easy to explain'

    9:10 - Whackos!!!

13:55 - This is the difference in what the church leaders and the church followers know

  • @ericandcelena : AT 6:55, did you see her reaction. I seen that reaction before, with in my own family. When they realize what they're saying doesn't make sense for them too. It's easy to explain?!?

  • A straight man who used to be gay my ass! :)

That guy is as gay as ever, no doubt. And he should be happy with himself instead of repressing who he is.

  • The Witch Children of Africa segment is a BBC documentary.

    Everyone should see it.

  • Love the mother who justifies ignorance a s just being easyier to explain the world.

So when her daughter grows up believing the stork brings the baby she should not be surprised with a teen pregnancy.

  • Well done hits the nail on the head.

  • nicely put together.

  • with that said this video coulve been great until it started ass kissing evolution which us just another form of great bullshit

  • @fhab525 Really, so what's your theory of origins?

  • @dannytibi i dont know, and neither does anybody else..people just fill in their ''i dont know'' with bullshit that cannot be proven in a billion years.

  • @fhab525 There is a lot we don`t know about the universe, but evolutionary biology is a well established science, no matter what else you might find inexplicable about the cosmos. Not knowing is not an excuse to not engage in science, if you think some theory is bunk, investigate the matter, and propose an alternative, calling everything bullshit and then leaving it at that will just leave you exactly where you are now, ignorant.

  • @dannytibi so if i make up my own little version of it i wont be ''ignorant'' no more? ..evolutionists sound like idiots, bible thumpers sound like idiots, whats the difference ? both just giving a ''theory'' and not proving a damn thing while trying talking about it, just creating more questions instead of leaving shit alone theres nothing wrong with an ''i dont kno'' answer.

  • church, religion, bibles,etc.. are just a business to generate money with the disguise that its good for you and without it u will perish, just like vaccines are pushed on people..they use peoples biggest fear(death) and tell em to behave in a certain way to go to heaven, and of course u gotta pay money, salvation is not free lol..it creates separation and hatred since the ones involved feel ''chosen'' above others, and usually the only ones benefiting are the publishers, preachers never YOU

  • i have belief in God but not because i read the Bible, all we need to achieve worldwide piece is utilize our God given common sense which to me is the real ''word'' of God..ALL religions n books are the reason the world is in constant chaos, those books give men justification for their actions. racism, rape, wars, mass genocide, women inferiority, etc are all things justified in that ''inspired'' book ..the qu'ran is even more radical, all non believers beheaded and more women bashing..

  • I just can not stand the idiot of Ray Comfort and Kik Cameron, the worst thing is all th money they are taking away from dumb ass christians, or what TedHaggard did, when i found out i laugh for 2 or 3 weeks for the idiots of his mega church, The other imbec il that crank my nerves is Ken Ham even seeing his pseudo beard makes me face slap so hard... damn

  • that "ex gay" guy is clearly still gay

  • @akkadianarab I was about to say the same thing.

  • @DarkPhoenixSaga Yeah seriously who the fuck is he kidding :) with that grabbing motion he's got and soft low voice

  • Did anyone else gag at the fact religious fundaMENTALists are doing this to our children?

  • Thanks for taking the time to make this video, it should be shown to everyone.

If I wouldn't have seen most of this in multiple different parts over the course of several months I would be puking my guts out in pure disgust this is so concentrated with truly disgusting Religious indoctrination hard at work.

Even worse most of it on otherwise open minded children.

Makes me mad beyond belief to see so many minds literally psychologically raped and brainwashed thus irrevocably wasted for life...

  • Wow. Seeing what these religious cooks do to children is absolutely disgusting. The worst form of child abuse ever!

  • saying that religions cause ignorance is like saying that races cause racism

  • how could people act like this? this is just sick.

  • Blaming religion is just like blaming a gun for murder, or blaming money for greed.

Religion or guns or money has no darkside.

Take a look in the mirror and see the real problem. The real dark side is ourselves.

  • @hermanenwang1 good comment

  • @hermanenwang1 You CAN blame religion. It's easy to blame people because people are easily capable of things depicted in this video. But their base reasoning for the atrocities they're committing are deeply seeded in their superstitious beliefs. That is why religion is at fault here. You cannot deny that these people are doing these things because of what they have been taught to believe is right and wrong according to their religious "principles."

  • @hermanenwang1 Also, comparing religion to guns and money is bad. Because they're all created by man, they're all created to "better" man, but they can all be used for bad things and can corrupt otherwise normal, moral people.

  • @hermanenwang1 I just need to say something else because your comment really drives me nuts. To say that religion has no darkside is absolutely untrue. You have to be delusional to think that religion does not have a darkside, especially Christianity. The history in the bible has plenty of dark shit. The history AFTER the bible that wasn't "set in stone", the history that we can actually account for...definately has a darkside!

  • @Clubbingshawn I'm sorry but your logic is flawed. The darkside is not religion, or Christianity, itself. But it becomes evil when people twist it and use it to their own gain. The dark history in the name of Christianity that you are referring to were caused by greedy individuals who twist Christianity and use it for their own agendas. If you actually study the Bible, you would understand.

  • @hermanenwang1 You really cannot grasp the concept of religion being the BASIS for the atrocities these people are committing can you? That is so weird. What about the bible do I need to study? It clearly condones death to things that are not even considered crimes in this day and age.

  • @Clubbingshawn Don't forget money being the BASIS for a lot of the atrocities being committed today. Oh, and throw in communism, and capitalism, and precious resources like oil and diamonds. People all over the world are starving and being killed, and has nothing to do with religion. What is weird is people don't want to hear how bad we really are, thinking that we are generally good. Instead, people blame religion for the state that we are in.

  • @hermanenwang1 Saying that the Bible clearly condones death to things that are not even considered crimes in this day and age shows how ignorant you are about what it actually says in the Bible.

  • @hermanenwang1 Leviticus 21:9, 24:16, 26:21-2/ Joshua 10:39-40/ Deut 28:53, 32:41-2, 13:6-9/ 2 Kings 1:10-12, 2:23-4/ 1 Sam 17:57/ Isaiah 37:36/ Numbers 25:6-9 are just a few passages in the bible where God condones or personally commits biblical atrocities. Religion is bad, whether you want to believe that or not. Also, please don't stray from the subject which are the things the people in this video are doing, nobody said religion is the sole cause of all bad things you nitwit.

  • @Clubbingshawn I agree the video never said religion were the sole cause of all bad things. You did, so I refuted you. I'll stay on topic if you stay on topic.

Way to go on referencing only the Old Testament. There's a reason why it's called the Old Testament. Again, showing your immense knowledge of the Bible.. which is nada.

  • @hermanenwang1 Fuck you are dumb. What makes the OT any less credible? Are you going to cherry pick what you want to believe now? Of course, that's what Christians do. If something in your religion makes you look bad, make shit up!

  • @Clubbingshawn Typical hostile response. And you wonder why the world is so messed up. Take a good look in the mirror sometime.

Since you are so lazy to look in the dictionary for the definition of "Old Testament", let me break it down for you.

    From Merriam-Webster dictionary:

Old - former (as in old students)

Testament - a covenant between God and the human race

    Covenant - binding agreement

Therefore, Old Testament = former agreement

Shall I define New Testament for you?

  • @hermanenwang1 Its true that the Old Testament is a former agreement by definition, but Jesus said that he didn't came to destroy the law in Matthew 5:17.So everything in the Old Testament is still valid today.

  • @zune145 The full verse of Matthew 5:17 is:

"“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

"The Law or the Prophets" refers to the Old Testament. Jesus is saying that he came to fulfill the prophecies and the law, since no one else is able to keep the Mosaic Law. So by believing in Jesus and acknowledge him as Lord and Savior, he substitutes his life for yours, as if you have fully obeyed the laws.

  • @hermanenwang1 I'm done chatting with you. You have no knowledge of your own religion. You avoid any real argument by changing the subject. Your a typical delusional christian. Please go martyr yourself for your beliefs, it would make my day.

  • @Clubbingshawn You would be right to say that I'm avoiding any real argument only if you actually are making any real arguments. Way to go in avoiding the New Testament by blaming me for changing the subject LOL. You're a typical delusional athiest that sounds just like a Nazi.

You would like to kill me wouldn't you?

  • @hermanenwang1 Your confusing an "atheist" problem with a "human" problem....

  • @lundymaphone The atheist problem is their denying that there is a problem at all.

  • @hermanenwang1 How did you get "human problem" to become "denial of a problem"? What is our dark side, other than ofcourse satan? If you look in the mirror and thinks that the only reason you do good, is because of the ultimate judgement, then I can understand why you might think that humans, who does not share your belief, is the problem. Cos what keeps them from doing what they wish if not the ultimate judgement? I'll tell you, morality. The same reason as you, though unknown to you

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen Denying that we have a problem IS the issue. One cannot see one's need for Christ unless one realizes one's depravity. We are sinful dark creatures left to our own devices - we don't require Satan to make us do evil things or have evil thoughts. The Bible clearly states that no one does good, not even one. We are incapable of doing good in God's eyes. That is why God sent his only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross as a substitution for us, so that if we believe in him,

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen .. God will see us as if we lived the perfect sinless life that Jesus Christ did. And Jesus Christ was resurrected, so that we will also be raised from the dead. Nothing else will save you from eternal damnation.

It's also possible that he doesn't want to kill me because he doesn't want to go to jail, but I can't speak for him. I don't want to kill him because I want to honor God.

A nazi sounds like someone that wants to eradicate anything that doesn't conform.

  • @hermanenwang1 No one lives perfect sinless lives atleast not when it comes to thought sins. Like looking with lust in your heart on a woman who are not your wife. It is something that we cannot controll and it is ingrained in our biology (which is made so by God), so noone is apparently going to heaven if your definition stands. However luckily for christians you can be the most sinfull person and still go to heaven, as long as you profess Jesus as your savior eg. conforming like nazis

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen Yes, except for Jesus, no one ever lived or will ever live a sinless life. But that wasn't made by God. Sin isn't something that was created. Sin is the absence of righteousness, just like darkness is the absence of light, and nothing is the absence of something. Yes, no one would be going ot heaven if it wasn't for Jesus Christ, who died for our sins. Professing Jesus as Lord and Savior but not repenting of your sins is as if you are not professing at all. Even Satan believe

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen ... that Jesus is Lord. And no, I don't want to force you into conforming like nazis. It is up to you whether you want to believe and follow Jesus Christ or not. And I never said morality meant being afraid of going to prison. You assumed that Clubbingshawn doesn't want to kill me because of his morals, but I can just as well assume that it isn't his morals that stops him from killing me, but the punishment of going to jail that is stopping him from killing me.

  • @hermanenwang1 oh another thing: morality does not mean, afraid of going to prison. It means not doing something or doing something because it is morally correct. I know it is hard for theists to understand - but the moral behavior of christians mirrors itself mostly in atheists aswell. Except in cases of sexual morality ( where the sex doesn't do harm) and in cases where human morals far exeeds those in the bible (human rights, slavery, incest, genocide etc.). I am ofc speaking generally

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen It's funny that you mention human rights, slavery, incest, and genocide, which everyone who is naive says the same thing about the Bible. The Bible does not condone slavery as defined by today's definition, which is the exploitation of a race of people that happened 200 years ago in the US. Neither does the Bible condone incest or genocide. No where in the Bible do you see a race of people being wiped out. In fact, there are numerous incidents where certain individuals ...

  • Well actually you are wrong. The bible does condone the enslavement of other people. There is a genocide (can't remember which one) in the bible, where God instructs the isrealites to kill everything. Even the animals. What was it about the slaves 200 years ago that is so different from in the bible? 200 years ago i don't know if you where punished if you beat your slave and it didn't survive for 2 days. I don't see the mercy in the bible when it comes to slaves con.

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen 2nd part: "killing is wrong" - how is genocide ever right? I would actually say absolutely - Genocide is wrong. The killing of todlers and babies is wrong. I don't know if you can make these statements, cos then you would have to say that God was wrong - or atelast not omnibenevolent, but a sadistic and violent bastard. Which by default means that sometimes it is okay to kill babies and small children, or am I wrong? cont.

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen 4th part: Therefore by throwing Adam out of the garden of Eden and making things die, God created sin as a punishment for all life on earth ( allso animals). So sin is from God and of God. What is rightousness and good is allso from God and since sin is punishment from using your free will, sin is from God aswell. I don't understand your view of god as good, humans are far better than God ever is. Free will - use it and burn!!

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen Again, no where in the Bible does it condone genocide. Read the Bible again.

Sin is not a punishment. Not sure where you got that from. Because of sin, God punishes. God didn't create sin. Sin is the product of the absence of sin, just like to create darkness, you have to take away the light. If you can create darkness with the presence of light, then I will accept your view. But you can't because it is illogical.

  • @hermanenwang1 The isrealites where commanded to exdterminate the gentiles and keep the virgins for themselves - how is a command not condonning (or however that is spelled)? You do know that darkness doesn't really exist right? Darkness is the default position of reality when there is no light. So darkness does not really exist, only light does. About sin, Adam ate the apple which God had commanded him not to. So i guess you could argue that it was Adams actions that created sin cont.

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen 2nd part. By disobeying God Adam created sin, or did he... How can a powerless human create anything in the presence of the omnipotent creator? God created the forbidden tree and through this creation he commanded Adam not to eat from it. If God had not created the tree, then there would have been no sin. So by creating the tree, God also created the potential to sin, by commanding Adam to obey and giving him free will, God created the potential to sin - so sin of God.

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen Put it this way. If God decided to completely leave earth and everything on it to their own devices, there would only be sin. So no, God didn't create sin. Blaming God for creating the tree that caused Adam to sin is the response when you don't want any responsibility for your own actions. Adam blamed God for creating Eve when he was confronted with eating from the forbidden tree. Are you going to blame the person that invented the car when you get caught running a red light?

  • @hermanenwang1

If your definition of God includes an all-knowing and all-powerful creator, then yes, he either created it or did not care enough to change it.

The latter assumption causes problems, since either it implies that he's malicious, impotent or ignorant. Since he supposedly created humans, he ought to have been good at ironing out that kink in us long before it became an issue.

And in any cause, sin is really just any behavior this God chooses to arbitrarily be angry about.

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen Um, exactly what I said. Darkness doesn't exist in the sense that it is not a thing. It is the result when light is absent. It is the same with sin. Sin is the result when righteousness or God is absent. Adam chose to disobey God, which meant that Adam chose something other than God, which means that Adam chose sin over righteousness. Sin wasn't created per se, like darkness is not a creation. Sin is the absence of righteousness.

  • @hermanenwang1

Sin is actually just whatever arbitrary behavior that God deems to be a crime and is traditionally associated with the problematic notion that God is willing to punish people for the crimes of their ancestors.

One of the commandments is to not covet anything, which is an insane rule to demand of people. We've got a problem when thought-crimes are a "sin."

Homosexuality does not harm anybody, and yet it too is often considered a "sin."

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen Read the Bible again. The Israelites were not commanded to exterminate every gentile on the face of the earth based on ethnicity, race, nationality, etc, so no, it was not genocide.

  • @hermanenwang1

No, they were just commanded to kill the ones they knew about.

  • @dhx84 So you where there eh.

  • @hermanenwang1

Where exactly? And were you there?

I'm just telling you what your damn book says. You want to split hairs about "some" gentiles versus "many" you go right ahead and do that.

  • @dhx84 No, I wasn't there, but I'm not the one accusing.

I know exactly what the Bible says. I don't need a liar telling me what the Bible says.

If you want to use the word genocide, you better use it correctly.

  • @hermanenwang1

Live in your bubble if you like. But there's clearly God commanding Jews to kill peoples based on "race."

  • @dhx84 Way to call the kettle black, pot.

  • @hermanenwang1

Oh, that tired piece of logic. Atheists are genocidal maniacs? Is that what you're trying to imply. Okayyyy buddy. So were lots of men. I'm a man, so therefore I support genocide.

I don't think all Christians support genocide. But it's clear there's at least one person here who's trying to make excuses for a book that thinks there's a god into that sort of thing.

  • @dhx84 And no, there were some that were spared. You obviously never bothered to read the Bible, yet compelled to respond with nonsense.

  • @hermanenwang1

That's the best you can do? Some weak sauce reply saying that they did commit genocide?

    Good job bro.

  • @dhx84 Your accusation that they committed genocide is weak sauce to begin with.

Pat yourself on the back first bro.

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen Concerning your view on free will, so what you are saying is that if I were to come over to your house and steal everything you have because I want to exercise my free will, I should go scott free. That is what you are arguing.

It is not free will, but what we do with that free will, that ultimately determines what happens to us. You disobey God, you are an enemy of God. You obey God, and you are a child of God. Plain and simple.

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen Killing is not genocide or murder. Yes, genocide is wrong. Yes, murder is wrong. But whether killing in general is wrong will depend on circumstances. Also, genocide is the destroying of an ethnic, racial, religious, or national group, which by the way the word didn't exist before 1944. The killing of babies is an abomination to God, and I would argue that abortion is killing babies, so I guess anyone that is for abortion is a "sadistic and violent bastard".

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen Slaves were paid back in Bible times. Basically if you were out of a job, or you owed someone money but can't pay it back, you opt to become an indentured servant, aka slave. Sure, there were slaves that were treated badly, just like there are employees today that are treated badly, but the Bible clearly states that those who own slaves need to treat their slaves with love and respect, and vice versa. You need to read the Bible again.

  • @hermanenwang1 "steal my stuff and get away scott free" ehm no, but I wouldn't want to torture you for eternity. I would want a secular justice system to catch you and put you in jail in accordence to secular law, and not in accordence to moseic law. However the subject of free will I would argue is not really free will. Bacially free will means freedom of choice, you can choose to follow Gods law or not. However when you will get tortured for eternity in Hell for not following the law (cont.)

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen 2nd part - then what are your choices as a believer? Who in their right mind would want to get burned for eternity - the idea of free will in christianity doesn't really makes sense. So i agree it is plain and simple - no free will if you are a believer unless ofcourse you are insane and want to burn. As to the killings of babies and children - lets take a couple of examples, Egyptians and the gentiles (again). God killed all first born children (cont)

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen 3rd part - in Egypt and commanded the slaughter of all male children and babies. So how can you say that killing babies is an abomination to God, when he did it and commanded it? Is it only the killing of christian babies that are abominal to Him? As to abortion, I have a question. Is it the removal of potentiel life you are objecting to or do you find the fertilized eeg to be life and not just potential? As to slavery, that the slæaveowner should only be punished (cont.)

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen 4th part - slæaveowner sjould have been slaveowner - if the slave died within the first two days of a beating but it was okay to beat them so that they died slowly over the next couple of days. I find it strange that you cannot see the connection between the slavery in the bible and that in the states 200 years ago. All the justification is in the bible. Make slaves of peoples around you, check. Beat them and kill them (just not kill them quick), check - and so on (cont.)

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen 5th part - As to paying a wage to your slave. Yes that proberbly happend, just like it did in Egypt, when the isrealites was slaves. However here they find the practice of slavery to be abominal (even if they got paid) - weird huh? So when it happen to you, it is bad. However when you do it to others, then it is fine. The paying of wages I have from the normal slavery practices in the time of Moses in Egypt.

  • @BjornSeverinLarsen .. and their families were preserved from being wiped out, such as Rahab of Jericho. If you want to argue about morality, you also need to look at intent and circumstances. You can't just make blanket statements like "killing is wrong". Killing random people for one's enjoyment is wrong, but killing in self defense is not.

  • @hermanenwang1 My guess would be no, he wouldn't like to kill you. However the difference between you and him is that, he doesn't want to kill because he views murder as immoral. You don't want to kill him because then you would go to Hell. So his reason is moral, yours is bought! Also how does a nazi sound?

  • @hermanenwang1

Religion is a belief system and is closer to other ideologies, like Nazism, than to physical objects like guns or money. If you wouldn't blame Nazism for promoting hate and discrimination, then you are delusion at best. Most religions are elitist, especially Christianity. To believe you hold the ultimate truth means all other beliefs are wrong, and as a result, ideological differences arise, schism occur, rival factions emerge, and discrimination, violence and even wars ensue.

  • @DiscoveringReligion I was more comparing to how they are being used rather than what they are. Nazism, by definition, embodies hate and discrimination. Guns don't. Neither does money or religion. You may perceive that most religions have elitists, but so would you be perceived as an elitist if you were the only person in the world that knows that the world is round.

  • @DiscoveringReligion EDIT: "Guns do not equate to hate and murder. Neither does money equate to greed or religion equate to evil".

  • @DiscoveringReligion I am soooooo stealing this quote for myself ^_^

  • At 5:55... that guy looks more ape-like than anything. The irony is palpable.

  • at about 6:45 ....."mainstream is so opposite." Wow, reality's really getting to ya huh?

  • @skywize And those Witch killers at the end I could watch being beaten to death and smile the whole way through.

  • It is sad to see religious/christian indoctrination/brainwashing of the gullible and/or ignorant by way of deceitful tricks, fear and lies. :O/

    P.S.

    Great video DiscoveringReligion…

    Katalyzt

  • im soo glad that you pointed out way of the master and ray comforts crap. his ambush style evangelism is beyond ridiculous adn so many people fall for it.

  • The part you are not telling is how you read a few books, accepted them as undisputed fact because that's how the man writing them came off, watched some Richard Dawkins, maybe read some Bart Ehrman and threw in what was spoon fed you at college...you know how I can tell?Because I've heard your story almost verbatim over and over and over again. What happened to me is I went on a purely intellectual journey that ended up a spiritual one. What I see around me is a journey in the opposite direction

  • @salmagnum

Ok... so which religion did you land on then? Buddhism? Shintoism? Taoism? Judaism? Islam? Maybe Egyptian, Greek or Norse mythology? How about one of the countless Native American religions? Which religion did you ultimately decide is the one and only Truth after going on your "intellectual journey that ended up a spiritual one"? And how did you objectively determine the Truth from among ALL these fantastical stories written by men?

  • @DR

Let me guess, the one true religion just HAPPENS to be what your parents believe in, and their parents before them, not to mention the predominant religion of your country. My, what an extraordinary coincidence! LOL. The fact you observe a correlation between higher education and a rejection of ancient mythological superstitions says something profound. But your capitulation to cultural biases doesn’t justify the accepted of one religion over another, or any religion for that matter.

  • @DiscoveringReligion No, you see my friend I am as opposed to man-made religion as anyone can possibly be. Once again you are trying to define the spiritual by your intellect. While the world has always been full of those worshipping their dead ancestors, the sun moon & stars, idols of their own creation and even their own puny intellects, there have also always been that few of us who worship the ONE true God, creator of heaven and earth. One question: How did life get to this spinning rock?

  • @salmagnum

I could make any number of speculations about life's origin. A comet seeded the Earth with microorganisms. Abiogenesis occurred near deep oceanic vents. But you already know this question is intellectually dishonest, because no one is claiming to know the answer to life's origin with100% certainty without scientifically verifiable evidence. You, on the other hand, ARE making a positive claim about God's existence with 100% certainty. You said...

  • @DR

"there have also always been that few of us who worship the ONE true God..." First of all, how do you know there is only ONE God and not many? Secondly, how do you know this God to be true? If you do indeed reject the doctrines of man-made religions, as you claim, then from what source are you receiving this information and by what standard are you evaluating this information's validity?

  • @DiscoveringReligion I read His Word. I speak to Him in prayer. I have witnessed His provision for me during life's darkest hours when no human was there. I have compared the ancient texts of the Textus Receptus with those found more recently among the Dead Sea Scrolls. I know that God exists because I exist. I have studied a wide range of philosophy and evolutionary science. I came to God after my intellectual pursuits left me no other explanation for my existence.

  • @DiscoveringReligion It was only when I fell on my face before the Creator of the universe and asked Him to show me His truth that I was able to understand what the Bible said, what deeper truths it contained that all the "great" intellects never seem to uncover despite their pouring over Scripture with a fine-toothed comb.

"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." 1Corinthians 1:18

  • @salmagnum

You're not offering anything new. When pressed to account for the standard by which you judge the existence of God you did exactly what I expected and resorted to citing the Bible -- a RELIGIOUS text. So much for "I am as opposed to man-made religion as anyone can possibly be." Try to stay focused. You're making an extraordinary claim that ONLY ONE God exists. HOW do you know? Ancient texts and your personal feelings on the matter are hardly an objective standard of evidence, sorry.

  • @DiscoveringReligion I openly admit my belief as belief. It may be my truth but it is also my belief. What are your beliefs? Certainly, as an intellectual, you've given thought to questions concerning the origin of life, the purpose of individual human existence and whether there is an afterlife. I would be keen on hearing your beliefs if you'd care to share.

You are far from alone in doubting the Bible. Take Noah's Ark and the Flood for instance. Not many today believe it happened. (cont.)

  • @salmagnum

"It may be my truth but it is also my belief." Would NASA have ever escaped the Earth's gravity by employing that same standard of evidence? Would a credible scientist ever make a similar statement with regard to a new discovery about evolution? if he/she did, what do you think the religious community would say in response to such a claim? Sorry, but I believe in equality -- both for people and ideas. If science must meet an objective standard of evidence so should religious truths.

  • Religion was invented when the first con man met the first fool

    - Mark Twain

  • "taking one dollar is as bad as taking $100." I would be shocked to hear something that mind-bogglingly idiotic out of anybody's mouth but Comfort's.

  • this is madness, I'm embarrassed to admit that I was once a brainwashed christian for 22 years... yeah TWENTY TWO! I just celebrated my 24th birthday last December, and I must say I am SO happy to be mentally free. speaking from experience I can assure you, IT'S HARD AS FUCK TO STOP BELIEVING IN GOD! but that was simply due to the heavy weight of my indoctrination, I remember going to a "church revival" service and learning to "speak in tongues" looking back, I can now proudly say GOOD BYE!! :D

  • @javonne What you experienced was NOT Christianity, but rather one of numerous cults that invoke Christ's name and sometimes even quote a passage or two from the Bible as serves their purpose. Read the gospels for yourself. You will be shocked!

  • @salmagnum what do you think it was that caused me to leave the religion in the first place? I started reading the bible for once, before I would only read nice and loving passages, and ignored the ugly ones, it's funny when I see people like yourself defending this horrible book. and yes the religion was christianity, If I was believing in Jesus the Christ then how was that not Christianity? So don't hand me any of that "What you experienced was NOT Christianity" crap

  • @javonne It sounds like you were in one of the New Age churches that only preaches on the "good parts" and doesn't go over the Old Testament or the role of God as Judge. Trying to comprehend God's plan throughout history, on their own, from their modern, indoctrinated humanist perspective, as opposed to historical context, has led to many turning their backs on God. If you were in one of the churches like is pictured in this clip, you were NOT in a Christian church, no matter what they claim.

  • @salmagnum to understand the role of Jesus was to know of God as the judge, the pastor did indeed preach on the stories in the old testament, so no I was not of any "new age" church, frankly I've never even seen how any are run. no one caused me to turn my back on God, through time, I began to gradually come to a realization that there was no "God" to turn my back on in the first place. but before that I began reading the bible from the beginning to the end.

  • @salmagnum I started wondering if what I was believing in was real, or just a figment of the imagination, and I asked myself "is it even possible that God isn't real?" and so I started reading more and more about the history of Christianity, and I read up on other religions. and other deities I found that God AND Jesus are made up myths. that is not to say that spirituality is the same, I am still very spiritual but I just don't need a God to do so, I am more of a pantheist/Atheist.

  • @salmagnum The God of the Bible is a monster, he's a jealous being that does not express unconditional love, instead he had to have himself sacrificed to himself in order for he himself to forgive the ones he supposedly loves unconditionally. but if you need to believe in God in order to live your life then please do so.

  • @salmagnum when speak to "believers" like yourself and explain how I used to worship Jesus I always get the "You never wanted a true relationship with him then" or "you just believed in him because you wanted worldly things instead of an intimate relationship with him" and "you just stopped believing in him because you just can't stop sinning, and you don't want to be held accountable for your actions" I swear I'm so tired of hearing that nonsense... READING THE BIBLE TURNED ME INTO AN ATHEIST!

  • 1:07 lol

  • Man that was so sad with the little african girl, she looked super scared. Where can I find that full video?

  • your videos are brilliant.

  • mild electrical changes deep within the brain- there's your "holy spirit". can you stop making a spectacle of yourselves now? maybe get a grip and lock up these disgusting criminals?

  • @justinoakley999 Dude, shut up, sit down, have a couple of hits, and STOP KILLING PEOPLE ASSHOLE.....Well that's what I was thinking anyway, lol

  • Very interesting video... what is the music used in the intro and closing called, by the way?

  • When that man said he wants to kill that young girl, I GOT SOO ANGRY!!! Im still crying because of the cruelty! >:(

  • @Asperuaca The sad part is that was likely taken a long time ago. You can assume what happened. People need to learn a new device to turn these creatures other than logic. It aint workin, grab a club. Logic does nothing NOTHING for stupid people. Tactics must change or shit like that will go on forever.

  • creepy

  • It seems to me that religion and human nature don’t go so well together

  • @UnratedScience Sadly, it's reality and human nature that are clashing....thus religion.

  • ignorance is bliss

  • awesome carl sagan quote in the end!

    well done alltogether

  • Thanks for creating this video. The scene with the African little girl was expecially frightening. To think that in this age, there are people in the world who would kill a child because they think she is a witch is INSANE! Chilling...

  • Love the vids D.R., watching those psychopaths teaching their kids to mutter in tongues, is just...ridiculous. Yet the christian community frowns upon 2 gay men or women raising a child, because they may corrupt them.

at a loss of words here

  • It's so ironic how the woman (with the kids in the background chasing eachother) thinks that "sometimes Christians feel like we're on the defensive because mainstream is so opposite".... mainstream? Would 76% of the entire population of the united states qualify as the "mainstream"? Because that's the % of the US that is religious (specifically Christians {which includes Catholics by the way} IIRC). Mainstream is on your side believers so quit your bitching about being "picked on".

  • @flameroller Hello, you simply don't understand her. That is your fault. You need to go to a library, and pick up a christian to English dictionary. It states perfectly well that "mainstream" is synonymous with "reality". Most christians don't cope with such things very well....thus the dictionary.... ;v)

  • watching that reminded me of all the services i have attended. i always knew inside something wasnt right when i was there

  • The indoctrination of innocent children makes me sick. They build a false framework of authority, aka appeal to authority, and then threaten with eternal torment as punishment. The children don't stand a chance and to break free as adults is a long and arduous process, if it happens at all.

  • I'm an ex-attendee of a church that, among other things, believed in the power of tongues. When I was about 9 or 10 I was on a retreat where the children were induced to speak in tongues, almost but not exactly like the clip shown here. I remember leaving with my mother and being so excited because I knew now that I was going to grow up to be a missionary.

It's almost 10 years later, and I'm a proud atheist-- not to rebel but because of reason and logic. My new dream is to be a scientist.

  • The original is better

  • FUCK YOU RAY COMFORT!

You make us New Zealanders look like fucking morons!

  • "Jesus Camp" is a great documentary about what is going on in a small section of America. I recommend it to anybody who wants to see just how scary it can get in the West.. It's clearly out of control in parts of Africa...with witch-hunts and such.

    Brilliant video...well done.

  • Ray Comfort loves to scavenge on the weak, young, and ill informed.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, really! The I must not have paid close attention, because I no longer am part of the Organized religion of Christianity. And what of those that deside to get out? It kind of contradicts the theory that the Church is there to brainwash it's followers doesn't. Why do people have a need to degrade in order to make their own beliefs validated?

  • 6:10. OH COME ON!!

They're just brainwashing the children using funny images and terrible explanations they don't even understand.

  • This is very well done, this is really good work but goddamn, watching these clips hurts me. I can't explain it but it fucking hurts me. I can't stand these motherfuckers and I almost wish their god was real so that he could send them all to hell for what they've done to good, kindhearted, hopeful people who are just looking so desperately for help with the trouble in their lives however, I would never wish such a terrible punishment on anyone for any crime.

  • @OGjimbo

Thank you! It is very troubling what goes on in the world, you'd think our species would be past this sort of thing by now. Thanks a lot for commenting!

  • @DiscoveringReligion Why did you lump true men of faith like Ken Hamm and Chuck Missler in with Benny Hinn and the New Age emerging Church movement as well as African spiritism? You do realize that you are intentionally misleading people into the darkness? 90% of this video dealt with antichrists, ppl opposed to Christ, no matter how often they invoke His holy name in order to manipulate their followers. Ken Hamm and Chuck Misler may not agree with you on Darwinism, but they are NOT cult leaders

  • @OGjimbo WILLFUL nutjobs are WILLFUL. THey will go straigt to hell, foo!

  • @OGjimbo for some reason nothing on Islam was presented... this is very unfair

  • @OGjimbo agreed. It is not just hurtfull but allso really really scary

  • I wish Comfort would finally say, "Just like a cock!" and end the joke already.

  • what is the piano piece at the end? I would love to play it.

  • 7:54, Peanut Butter man.. Worse or Better than Banana Man?...

  • "Its just easy to explain to your children" BIngo. Great video!

  • excellent video with some very scary depictions of religion's ability to brainwash

  • man thats definitely child abuse !!!

  • the kids :(____________adam is still homosexual lol

  • that lady at about 7:00 in said that it's easy to explain to her kids, the stories in the bible. for instance the story of a 500+ year old alcoholic, who built a really big ship and got two of each animal in the entire planet like penguins. polar bears etc. (you see where im going with this andnever writing about all the amazing animals in the world). It rained and then they landed finally some 100 plus days later and the same guy got drunk, passed out naked and his son to saw him. sounds easy.

  • If Adam Hood is still a "Straight" man I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn!

  • This is one of the best videos I've ever seen. Too bad so many people would either not watch it at all or ignore what it says. People can be so ignorant.

  • Really great job creating this video. Fav'd it.
