  • This has nothing to do with the video, but you are BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • @plyrkiller12 thank you!! What a nice comment to read...and can I ask you to please subscribe? best, Kiki

  • hm not that it has anythig to do with this, but how do u have such fit breasts?

  • @Pathrissia thanks Dear! It is partly the swimsuit LOL, but i do the breast massage and other tips i share...

  • Thank you for this video! Where can I order my brush? Is it ok to dry brush my face as well?

  • @LuminesStar I am so happy to share...google search "dry body brush" and many sites will come up - they are under $15 - it should be natural vegetable bristle and wood. I Dont dry brush your face...use a cloth. I have a video on that Glowing Skin - facial exfoliation.

  • what kind of brush should I get? Is it ok to use any that can be used in shower? I'm not living in the US.

  • @vablility use a NATURAL fiber bristle brush, do not get it wet - dry brush only. Do not use plastic bristles, they are too harsh. And I know you can find it on the internet and have it sent to you. search - natural body brush - and you will see exactly the brush.

let me know how it goes....and please subscribe...best, Kiki

  • Hi kiki

whats the best theraphy for psoriasis...my mom has had it for 2 years and all the western meds are worthless. thxs neil

  • @neilzep yes, all the western meds are worthless for this. I will address in a vid shortly, but these skin conditions relate to digestion - a food allergy, acidity in the diet and blood. Usually best to avoid junk food (always) but sugar, white flour, coffee, sodas. it is not a topical problem but one of digestive distress. And it is also stress related. have her watch my videos on yoga breathing... and best to both...Kiki

  • @kikiflynn thxs kiki,

she has tried alot of things. We are Indian so you know the diet based on being to India but she also has the American diet mix. They did a allergy test on her over a year ago ...nothing major came up. She does some pranayama, but I think she needs to do more...like the breath of fire like. There is a exercise on anolmehta's YT site but I think it is stressful for her cardio state. She is a ex bypass patient and has CKD due to her diabetes plus she is turns 75.

  • @neilzep breath of fire is too intense...she needs long slow deep breathing...I have 2 videos here on breathing. and she can begin the simple sun salutation at the beginning of my sun salutation video. If she is indian maybe she will try my Oil Bath video - this removes excess heat, and heat is a component of psoriasis. But neil, she should have no sugar and dairy...she will be happy with the change. best to her and you...and stay in touch, Kiki

  • @kikiflynn thxs for taking the time Kiki.

I will tell her not do the breathe of fire, being 45 myself I found it hard for a novice myself.

She tried the Dead sea salts bath, found that hard on the skin, I will get her some ALmond or Coconut oil.

You are right it does seem to be heat thing...in the summer obviously its hell for her.

Very debilitating disease...its a shame at 75 after all the crap she had to deal with in life...she gets this in the later half. Karma is a killer.

  • @neilzep and she should be wearing 100% cotton, linen or wool (these "breathe") and also all natural, fragrance-free laundry detergent and body products. Just plain coconut oil is a good moisturizer. as for summer - minimize spicy and hot foods. thinking of you both, Kiki

  • Does this help refuse the appearance of cellulite?

  • @meganelaine09 absolutely, this will change the way you look. And you are young..so start now and you will be happy. Let me know the results...best,Kiki

  • you have beautiful skin!

  • @cdm0014 thanks...try dry brushing, its good for everyone.

  • Hi Kiki! Thank you for that video! Would you recommend dry brushing before early morning ashtanga yoga practice? I've been practicing ashtanga yoga for a couple of years now and I still have a problem with my skin on the face and the shoulders (acne) that seems to be aggravated by intense sweating. I always moisturize my face in the morning before going to shala. Do you think that I should stop it? Thank you in advance for your much needed advise!

  • HI Kiki! Thank you for that video! I practice regularly ashtanga yoga early in the morning. Would you still recommend to dry brush my body before the practice? Or maybe I could do that after and before taking my shower?

  • Hi Kiki, love your videos! you mentioned to use coconut oil but only in summer and sesame only in winter. why is that?

  • @kaskabl coconut oil actually has a cooling property, and so is great for hot weather and sesame is very heating so not good for summer. Coconut oil in winter could actually cause a cold. thanks for your question and your support! xo

  • well done!

  • @jackbtaylor425 thanks!

  • Hello Kiki! I was inspired by your video and i bought a natural body brush but I think the bristles are too hard! Is this how it's supposed to be? I think I might scratch and hurt my skin!

  • @333miyu333 start very gently, barely brush it, just light strokes. over time your skin will become more able to dry brush and the brush bristles will break down. But if you are very fair (your photo looks fair) then just use a dry washcloth.

  • @kikiflynn thank you for your answer! I will try to do it very gently and see how it goes!

  • I use a scrub pad from the hardware section the ones used for paint removal.

  • @nesteph wow...hardcore!

  • ur so beautiful dear lov u ur skin really flawless

  • @pinkey282 thank you! very sweet...

  • ur so beautiful dear lov u

  • Hello, Kiki. Ashtanga Yoga or Bikram Yoga? Love your channel!

  • @TheMaazTube Ashtanga yoga. How bout you? and so glad you love it! thanks for your support...spread the word...Kiki

  • Thank you! :D

  • @catbearfox of course...happy 2012! best in natural health and natural beauty...Kiki

  • do u dry brush your face?

  • @catbearfox Do not dry brush your face with this brush. You can dry scrub your face GENTLY with a SOFT washcloth. I prefer to wet "scrub" my face with a soft washcloth - in small circles. I'll make a video soon...let me know how your dry brushing goes...best, Kiki

  • @catbearfox just posted a face exfoliation video...thanks to you!

  • i do swim a lot(sometimes twice a day) and my skin is always very dry and has no elasticity.

i am bit confused whether i should moisturize my face with a pure natural moisturizer, and then apply an natural oil( because the skin also needs bit of fat to keep the moist in) or should i only use a natural oil. can you apply it in the evening because i heart that you shouldn t put anything on your face before bedtime(because the skin gets lazy to produce its natural oil). but my skin is always dry ?

  • Thanks, Kiki. What should one do to keep the face looking good? (great channel by the way :)

  • @BFF169 i really think all the years of yoga - esp shoulder stand and head stand help. But your must be strong for these, don't just throw yourself upside down - you could get injured. Gently dry or wet scrub your face with a soft cloth daily. use natural oils to remove make-up and moisturize. no junk food!! no gum chewing. try the face yoga face exercises. thanks for your support....and I hope you keep watching...best, Kiki

  • Hi Kiki, I was wondering: what kind of oil do you use to take care of your skin? When I get out of the shower my skin is very dry, so I would like to use some kind of oil to nurture it.

  • @BianCaatjj i use all natural cold pressed organic oils - from the oil section of a health food store - almond, sunflower, olive, coconut and blend them as i feel inspired. I also use these to remove make-up. I use these oils on my face, body and scalp too. And weekly i take indian "oil bath". I have two videos on it if you look though my list. let me know how you like the oils and if it helps...best, Kiki

  • @kikiflynn Thanks Kiki! I'll let you know if it helps.

  • @BianCaatjj great!

  • @kikiflynn Thanks Kiki! I'll let you know if it helps.

  • I got one! makes my tattoos look very clear and crisp

  • @RaccoonCamp oh, that is very good to know. I can share your insight with tattooed friends. Thanks!

  • Hey, I find this technique very interesting! I have a brush for my back which I've never used (search on google 'back brush', the first picture showing up is very similar to the one I have) Can I use it for dry brushing? I've used it once now and it leaves some scratches on my lower legs, but they fade within 10 minutes. Should I get a special brush like yours, or can I use the (back) brush I have as well? I'll be waiting for your response, thanks!

  • @janiek96 yes, this back brush is the standard dry brush. I would say brush more gently. Also the bristles soften over time, so over time you can brush with more pressure. Or else use a soft washcloth to dry "brush" your legs. But stay with it and I think you'll really like the results. Let me know how it goes. and thanks for reaching out.

  • @kikiflynn thanks for your reply :D

  • @janiek96 my pleasure

  • yep, i do use dead sea liquid salt to detox the skin a few times a week... thanks kiki, so glad to be on this health and wellness journey with you. all the best.

  • @TheCappuccinoFan i am so glad too... I really love the dead sea salt and also the mud. best...Kiki

  • hi kiki, no worries abt the late reply. in fact u had replied to a similar one which i re-sent (as the earlier dont seem to be posted properly). i've been drying brushing since watching this vid and skin is more accustomed to the brush. found skin to be more glowy, but i dont apply oil everyday (dry oil with vit E & a couple other precious oils in it). seems like theres some breakout on the skin- not sure if my skin cant take the oil everyday, or some hormones factor.

  • @TheCappuccinoFan then oil every other day sounds like a good solution. Also take some epsom salt baths to pull out toxins. let me know how that works... K

  • I always wanted to try this, but It seems painful. I may try it soon, or try a washcloth

  • @tedoymisojos try the soft cloth, it works well.

  • OMFG!! you have better BODY THAN MINE and I'm only 29! haha!!!

  • @MissConcious thank you! Get your dry brush out and start your routine...it really works wonders....let me know, K

  • what kind of brush is that??? CAN I USE ANY BRUSH??? does it remove cellulite???

  • @MissConcious get a special brush from the health food store. and yes, it reduces cellulite! best, Kiki

  • You look so healthy and beautiful! Just ordered my brush. You don't look old enough to be doing anything for 23 years but maybe breathing! You are such an encouragement!!

  • @mrykzgrl1 Oh great news! let me know how your new program goes. And thanks for your support...i hope to inspire...best to you, Kiki

  • You have convinced me to try this, I recently started developing in-grown hairs and/or black pores on my legs and upper arms, and nothing really has stopped them from forming. Lotions haven't worked and I don't think exfoliating my legs and arms do too much, I can only do it once or twice a week, or my skin will burn. But, exercise helps dimish it a little. :) Anyways can I do a workout before I dry brush or after?

  • @Bliies I say this would be great for you. Start gently. Also don't use lotions. They can be very clogging. Use simple sunflower oil or almond oil (organic from the health food store). Dry brush, then shower, then lightly rub oil into your skin with care. Workout after. ANd let me know how it goes....best,Kiki

  • @kikiflynn

Do these oils increase estrogen levels, Or is it the opposite since the oils are fats?

  • @godofthisshit I do not think there are any negative side effects of dry brushing or using natural oils - all positive. Using skin creams with parabens (petroleum/plastic) will negatively impact your health. Also try to use oils and products from glass containers as plastic containers to leach into products and negatively impact hormones.

  • @kikiflynn

You don't use the dry brush on your face right? Also cooking or dressing almond oil is what you're referring to or are you talking about the more massaging originated almond oil(is that only marketing and it's all the same)?

  • @godofthisshit i do think the difference between more expensive almond massage oil and the salad oil is marketing - good call. I am happy with the food quality almond oil. Don't dry brush your face, but you can use a use a dry washcloth on your face..gently. let me know how it goes...Kiki

  • @kikiflynn hello thanks for your tip, I have been trying it out for a few weeks, my ingrown hairs are vanishing, I barely have any on my upper body. Still, I am getting them on my legs, but I recently found out that it is due to the epilator I was using. My skin is sensitive, so it cased irritation. I stopped doing that. Also, I do not feel like it is moisturizing enough, my skin feels very dry,but maybe becuz I have been using jojoba oil. Is it because of that I still have flakiness on my legs?

  • @Bliies jojoba should be a good oil, but almond is a bit richer, so you can try that. And be sure to really rub the oil in, massage it into the skin, not just on top. also taking omega oil, like flax, gives us moisture from within, which is important. Look at my video on Sinus Magic about sniffing oil - that also will make you less dry.thanks for checking in and keep me updated...best, Kiki

  • Have you done the Dry Brush technic for over 25 Years????? So, your mom did that to you since you were a baby? Awesome!!!

  • @Lemev that's right! LOL. It seemed extreme at the time but.....thanks for the compliment...Kiki

  • You. Look. Great.

  • @blueenigmaNYC thank you! Kiki

  • Beautiful

  • @tsx3214 thank you...Kiki ;^)

  • Thank you for posting this Kiki! I use a Clarisonic Brush in the shower and my skin is incredible now. (Your skin is amazing too.) I like that dry brushing can be done anywhere not just for bathing. Your demo and tips are much appreciated.

  • @EclecticSoundTV Thank you for your feedback and support. And glad to hear you like the C brush. Many people have asked me about it. And so glad you are watching...best, Kiki

  • hi kiki, first of all, you look GREAT! just like to check if dry brushing can be done on its own (or do we need to do it either before or after shower)? do we need to apply anything right after dry brushing? you mentioned doing it in the morning, can it be other parts of the day? lastly how do we clean and maintain the dry brush. thanks lots! subscribed to your channel already :)

  • @TheCappuccinoFan Hi! You definitely want to rinse off after dry brushing. They go hand in hand for great hygiene. Don't put on lotion or anything on your skin before dry brushing AND after your bath or shower, use a 100% pure vegetable oil as your moisturizer, like almond, sunflower or coconut oil. Just buy it organic and cold pressed from the health food store. It's cheaper than skin creams and soooo healthy.

  • @kikiflynn Hi Kiki, thanks for the prompt reply (re-send coz e earlier one dont seem to get thro). like your personal touch in replying everyone! so we do not need to wash the brush at all b4 the next replacement? is the wash cloth as effective as dry brush? juz to sidetrack, do u have any tips for acne scars. love & light

  • @TheCappuccinoFan Don't wash the brush! The bristles will deteriorate and the wood will rot. It is a DRY brush.

The washcloth is not as effective, but is best for sensitive skin and can be used as a first step for starting out.

  • @TheCappuccinoFan As for acne scars, apply vitamin e oil daily. Best to purchase it in a amber glass bottle as it goes rancid easily and sunlight destroys its properties. Keep it in the fridge and rub in a few drop to the areas every day with a kind and loving feeling and gentle quality. Also wear sunblock! So you do not continue to "burn" the area. Though you had acne and probably don't want to put oil on the skin, it is very healing. Best, Kiki

  • @TheCappuccinoFan ....and You can take dry brushing any time of day, but in the morning it iwlll help you wake up and get the sluggish system moving. You can brush your dry brush out with a comb to keep it clean. But if it stays dry it will be quite clean. And they are not expensive, you can replace it every 6 months or so.

    and thanks for subscribing...best, Kiki

  • @kikiflynn Thks for the prompt reply.. really like your personal approach in attempting to reply everyone. is e dry brush bristles pretty hard (& thus "painful/uncomfortable" on the skin?), and is e wash towel as effective as e dry brush. does that mean that we do not have to wash/rinse e dry brush at all b4 e next replacement? sorry for the list of questions. juz wanted to get a clearer pic. just to side track a little, do you have any tips for acne scars? your skin is flawless. love & light

  • @TheCappuccinoFan sorry this reply wasn't prompt...it slipped by me. Yes the dry bristles can be painful at first, so use light pressure, The bristles break down over time and the skin gets used tot he brushing. A dry towel is as effective for some one who cannot tolerate the brush. Don't wash the brush or it will break down and maybe get moldy (yuck). For scars...vitamin e oil rubbed in with care every night.

  • I believe you, you look gorgeous and subscribed........

  • I believe you, you look gorgeous and subscribed

  • I believe you, you look gorgeous

  • @monoroma1 thank you!!! let me know how it goes, it really does work. best,

    Kiki

  • ok- you said dont put anything on your skin that you wouldnt eat so would you do a vid on skin care? (like what do you cleanse your skin with?) also what shampoo/cond do you recommend & sunscreen?

    thanks :)

  • @sarahjf2007 Hi Sarah, yes I will do a video on that! Thanks for requesting. But in the meantime... I use organic sunflower oil and add essential oils to it. And i use that over my entire body and even face! Twice a day. You can also use almond oil, avocado, jojoba, coconut (but only in summer), and sesame (but only in winter). glad you asked...stay in touch and let me know how these new things work out, Kiki

  • @sarahjf2007 A really great book for that is Gorgeously Green by Sophie Uliano. She has vids on youtube as well. She has some great recipes. And I actually subsitutue Sweet Almond Oil for Sunflower Oil because I like the texture better but she uses all sorts of oils too! Just like Kiki, I use it on my face and body and it's super simple. Even if you don't buy the book, check out her video. Just search gorgeously green.

  • @sjh012055

sarah, thanks for sharing Gorgeously Green with me... I'll definitely check it out. And glad to know you are also on the gorgeously green path. Yes I like almond oil too. I have also used jojoba when i lived in California and coconut when i lived in Hawaii! best, Kiki

  • Wow best skin ever! Your skin looks better than any 20yo girl! Amazing thank you so much for this video and for showing the right way to do it! Subscribed and thumbs up!

  • @shiroirobin Thanks so much!! let me know how it goes for you, stay in touch...Kiki

  • oh my goodness..i cannot believe how young you look.you're so gorgeous. if you already have cellulite can dry brushing break it up a little bit? i've just started to dry brush for the first time this week but i read that you should only brush in an upward motion or toward the heart.

  • @Creatiopoetic thanks!! yes, i believe you can change the appearance of the cellulite, it will increase blood circulation and disperse toxins trapped in the "fat" . Yes all the advice says upward, but I have done this in large circles for more then two decades. lol! so try it. every day. you'll be pleased. my sister said it changed the appearance of her upper arms. best and stay in touch Kiki

  • So you have been doing this since birth, huh? you look 25! Im glad this video was in response to that nut case lady who gives horrible advice on all of her vids!

  • @Jazzy25 thanks for your support Jazzy, i haven't been 25 for a long time lol. But i feel 25! And let's hope the dry brushing, natural health and yoga are the reason.

    thanks for subscribing, best, Kiki

  • @kikiflynn Im very sure it is! Are you a vegan or vegetarian??

  • always awesome! thanks for the great tips. xo!

  • @MissSuperSusie thanks Miss Super Susie.let me know how your dry brushing goes! xo
