Thanks for the tips freddo. Just returned from setting this camera up for 2008. I have set the camera to manual focus, and a Programmed exposure, so the white balance should be consistent. This camera has also been moved to a different site, where it has a better viewing geometry of the lake. For 2008, I've increased the image capture rate to 1/hour as well. Thanks for the video editing tips - I'll try that out.
I would recommend setting your camera to manual mode so as to keep your focus and white balance the same in between shots, as well as that I would recommend a higher frame rate and perhaps a motion blur (in the editing software) or by raising the exposure rate to 1 second.
