  • Wouldn't a gear up landing be better than using just 2 sets of wheels? Of course you would have had to fire the Rockets / Missiles first, Still a nice landing :)

Im going to get this sim, thought about downloading it but i think now better to wait and order it online and have delivered than a hefty download.

Oh and those that say it would not fly, you want to see just how badly mashed up planes have made it back, especially planes like Lancaster bombers in WW2 just incredible ;)

  • nice landing

  • Did the flight computers compensate or did you have too>

  • @Braeden123698745 What flight computers? heh

  • LEFT THRUST TO COMPENSATE FOR ROTATION! :D

  • In the first few seconds I lol'd at the fire spewing from the wing

  • Smoothly done :) I like how you disengaged the left elevator to stop it flipping the plane out.

Like folk say a jettison a belly landing mightve been a better idea.

Next time (optimistic :P) try shutting down the left wing pump, can sometimes stop a fire

  • is a joystick NEEDED to play this game or is it just easier

  • @97epicman you can also fly with your keyboard if you want but a joystick is more fun and easier to play with.

  • @nathie97 thnx im buying it then ill message u once ive got it then we can play multiplayer (after i figure out the controls)

  • @97epicman Well, you could fly with mouse and keyboard but I say that a joystick is NEEDED to make this game fun.

  • I think he hold on to his load on the right side as a kind of counter-weight guys...

  • giving your scenario i would of dropped the rockets then stop the right engine to counter balance and slowly slow down till you come to a hault.

  • Whoa that part when you used the broken wing as a brake was epic Oo

    ...

I'm still trying to make the KA-50 flying in DCS blackshark ><

  • Without a doubt solid flying. WOOT WOOT to you on that landing. I am an old Falcon 4.0 flyer and I KNOW that you went pucker 10 when you slid off the runway. Hands down great flying!

  • very nice. she brought you home in the end.

  • Meh, just a scratch.

    A SCRATCH?! YOUR WINGS OFF!

  • And you didn't jettison your ordinance... why?

  • Nice landing man.

  • oh god i was afraid that bump wouldve landed you upside down lol

  • That takes some intense skill. Kudos.

  • That looked like a very good landing at the end. Nice one. What are you using, keyboard and mouse or flight stick?

  • @COMMANDOBLACK why anyone would play a DCS title with a keyboard and mouse only is beyond me considering DCS is about as close as it gets to mil sim that still remains on the commercial market.

no seriously, if someone actually intend to play DCS title without a flight stick then i think they made a mistake buying the game.

  • @IonoTheFanatics I just repurchased my track IR5 head piece, something my wife broke while trying to play with it. But I went all in and purchased the X52 PRO SAITEK FLIGHT STICK and RUDDERS.

I do my flying on ARM 2. The only thing I do not like about flying in arma 2, is that I can't program the joystick to have weapons layout where I want them. But I still enjoy having the track IR5, joystick, and rudder in use at the same time. It is a whole lot of fun to play the game in this fashion. =)

  • @COMMANDOBLACK and i don't argue with that, i was only wondering why would anyone play a sim such as DCS titles without a flight stick... since it is an extremely odd not to mention near impossible to fly a plane properly in any decent sim without a flight stick.

  • Pfttt, some duct tape will fix that right up.

  • After reading the comments I am quite saddened. It seems that ignorance is more and more common... Particularly about aviation. It seems that the majority of people here do not have the slightest idea of an aircraft actually operates, even worse they think that any damage at all means that all hope is lost. If such were the case, aviation, sailing, driving for that matter, would all be just a dream.

  • CTRL-E..... done

  • Jettison all external stores, then land on belly. One wheel is no good.

  • @777jjoe Xbox? Is this on Xbox? Since when?

  • Shit dude damaged? Thats using the term lightly talk about torn up to hell. But shes made for that so it's all good.

  • with that kind of damage to the left wing, it would have spiraled out of control long before you could gain any control on it.

  • @Igneous01 Wrong. The A-10 is perfectly capable of flight on one wing. Nice try though.

  • actually the dropping of the stores would have helped a lot. see how the aircraft is rolling to the right? also use the downlock override to get that missing gear down. trim your aircraft to stop unwanted moving. that way things will be a lot easiers for u. love this sim =)

  • slow down

  • It'll buff out.

  • What a load of s***. In real life you cannot do that. In fact the ATC would tell you to bring it down away from people (in the woods for example or dump into a water body if necessary) and then eject. A machine is nothing without the man behind the control rod.

  • @blackshark1984 Enough planes that land pretty damaged. F-15 landing with one wing and an A-10 shot to hell in Iraq. Must be lots more.

  • @lesleyhenriquez Yes, but for example the F-15 landing with one wing- the pilot never realized he was missing one in the first place, otherwise it would have been a completely different story.

  • @lesleyhenriquez A B-17 in WWII once landed with almost the entire tail ripped off by a suicide BF 109...

  • @blackshark1984 If they ejected from every damaged plane we'd be another billion in debt.

  • @blackshark1984 Are you an idiot, you must be.

  • more weight on the right wing would have kept the plane stable enough to land

  • i bet u can also use that mighty 30mm to slow down the plan faster

    just kidding

next time plz land out of a barrel roll...this way its to lame

  • They say any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. Any one that you can use the plane again is a great one! :) I'm just glad you can land in the dirt and not blow up like many other sims do. I gotta get this sim. Last time I played seriously was F4AF like four years ago.

  • to my knowledge real pilots eject if a safe landing cant be guaranteed which is clearly the case.

if that fucker rolled over it might not just have killed the pilot but some ground crews+ equipment too.

  • you should have switched off engines immediately on touchdown

  • You'd better paint that wing Red now.

  • Sir, you did it! Survival of the fittest... Good job! Nice flight!

  • Sorry that was not a realistic landing nor maneuvering for an A10 with most of an aileron missing. Also once that wing hits the ground it would hve created massive resistance and sheared the plane twisting it into a flaming wreck.. After it slowed down it still manuvered in the air like a kite instead of dead weight.. totally off physics.

  • WHOA, WHAT THE HECK DID YOU DO! LOOK AT THAT WING!!!!!! MAN, I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!! XD Thanks for posting!

  • Nice one, ejecting from

A aircraft will cause u to write long report. Eject only when bracing from a incoming missile

  • @zhiheng2005

And landing with one wing and with gear 2 gear down wouldn't? ejecting would be the smart thing to do. with damage like that it would be cheaper to get an A-10 out of storage rather than rebuilding it. You make no sense. BTW, ejecting only when bracing from an incoming missile is just about the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

  • @HDaviator

Never eject unless your life is in immediate danger. If there was a chance he could bring it down safely even though the entire frame is toast, there are PLENTY of expensive components in there that can be salvaged.

Also shoulda dumped his bombs before trying that.

  • @lonecrow66 You must be a real pilot. Because us real pilots love to risk our lives for the airframe. ;) Not

  • The a10 should still fly on: 1 enginge, 1 and 1/2 wingspan, and 1 rear stabiliser... Though the pilot here should have either tried a manual gear extend or, if that failed too, kept the landing gear retracted and belly-landed (the a10 is specifically designed to belly land quite well). Also all external stores should have been jettisoned. But, you got her down with you alive, so obviously you did something right :P

  • Better to eject.

  • Are u using Track IR or making the view follow the mouse?

  • yep, it's advised to land on belly if one gear isn't down or locked.

  • DUDE YOU SHOULD OF DROP THE ROCKETS,AND LANDED ON THE BELLY WITH OUT GEAR DOWN...

  • @R0TANIMRET "should have"

  • @yewwowduck thank you.

  • @R0TANIMRET they compesate for the lift loss on one wing

  • @R0TANIMRET

in general yes.. But notice how the heavy ammunition under the right wing compensates the force difference to the unarmed, half-gone left wing..

  • in lock on i flew an a10 for 10 minutes after a tungusta blew half of my tail + part of m wing off

  • i know but u came in at regular landing speed, while the f15 had to stay around 350mph so the plane's momentum made it fly, not lift

  • @MrTornadoman97 the reason the f15 could fly with 1 wing, is due to it has a fuselage that provides lift

  • @MrTornadoman97 The A10 can, has, does and was designed to continue flying with an engine, half a wing and half the tail missing. There's a reason it's the most rugged CAS plane on earth.

  • thats impossible to do in real life but nice piloting skilz!

  • @MrTornadoman97

not really, an F-15 pilot landed missing his whole wing.

    watch?v=wHADAKreoPY

  • Btw, if you don't know.. The gear warning sound can be ceased by L/G WARN SILENCE button.

  • Jesus I thought it was just the tip gone but half the wing was gone! Nice one! Didnt realize you had no left gear till you landed either! Very impressive good sir

  • Nice landing! But it was a bit more save if you had dropped your bombs before landing ;)

    Nice work again!

    Best regards,

    Thomas

  • @tntgamerdotnl

Actually more impressed he landed with them and did not explode. Saved a bunch of money in ordinance that way.

  • @Power5 Ordanance wouldn't explode, must be armed prior to impact.

  • @slaneyboi It would be safer, because had the wreck caught fire, bombs have a certain "cook time", time till they explode under extreme heat such as fire. look it up. (Don't think it's called cook time, but there is a term I have forgotten)

  • did you pull AUX LG EXT handle along the lower left side the center dash?

should "drop" the gear and let wind extend it

  • @qunniq

Is that clickable or a keyboard command?

  • @Power5

if you look at your joystick its just to the left under the panel.

not clickable yet it seems i just tried for the first time yesterday.

  • @qunniq he means by the throttle.

  • The half wing is missing! Whats your landing speed and what is normal landing speed? Nice! =)

  • @MrSasz stall speed is normally ~120 knots in an A-10 flaps down. He couldn't go flaps down because it would wreck his trim and roll him belly up, killing him. so he had to land a bit faster than normal.
