Actually I didn't alter the audio in any way other than volume adjustments. The effect on the vocals was done by the artist on the track. I believe you are referring to the voice of Noam Chomsky in the track by Bassnectar. Check out bassnectar and I'm sure you can figure out what they are using to produce music.
