  • By far still one of my most loved films. The cinematography and imagery are stunning

  • god, i actually still have that walkman at 0:59

  • love that her legs aren't shaved. very real.

  • I like thet chick.

  • im crazy about that film

  • I lost the book at a party :( hopefully who ever found it - read it, and enjoyed it haha

  • I love this film!!!

  • Amazing. I love morvern callar. I love lynne ramsay. I love Samantha Morton. AMAZING!

  • I love Samantha Morton and this film is beautiful, romantic and aching

  • I've come here to look for a trailer as I've heard this is a good film with an even better sound track. But this trailer has done nothing for me, I really REALLY hope the film is better than this leads me to believe.

  • I've just watched it, and no, this video does not do it justice, it was really good, very moving. I don't know whether you watched 'Dead set' but the (deliberately) annoying Scottish girl who was evicted from the BB house plays Samantha Morton's best friend.

I'd recommend watching it...unlike any film I've ever seen and a very original idea.

  • one of samantha morton's best performances!

  • - Chalk it down to experience my friend... there is no time machine for that sorta thing.

  • thea mou.....samantha

  • Favorite film for the fourth year in a row.

  • Great Film, Great Soundtrack, well it is on Warp, a shining light of proper music in a sea of shit.

  • This was a great movie to sit back and smoke a joint to... just to relax and enjoy and absorb the glowing mood. It's a really nice experience. And your editing of the video was well done :-)

  • It was great straight... but you made me realize I need to see this again--your way.

  • Like a broken arrow, I'll catch the tail wind and draw the clouds, burning sugar, as black as smoke, closing walls; I open my heart. She sings when she hurts. It's good to sink deep inside, to my only touchstone. She's a friend in the dark, my strength, my memories. She delights in torture, but she holds my hand and never shields me. Because the best shield is to accept the pain, then what can really destroy me? Let me close my eyes and lie invisible, and perhaps the clouds will pass through me

  • This film and book always reminds me of that poem at the end of Ooberman's 'Shorley Wall'...

  • mi favorita detoos los tiempos

  • but it wasn't trying to be a plot-driven movie, so a person shouldn't judge it by that criteria. It was a character study and a mood piece. I think it was excellent for what it was.

  • @herschede94 that is what i said about the film "eat a bowl of cock" , a mood piece a penis study

  • @jay19xxx gross

  • what track is this?!??!?! I'm dying to know.

  • "Dedicated to the One I Love" by The Mamas and the Papas. Check out the ending credits of the movie.

  • I finally got around to reading the book after buying it a few years ago. Really enjoying it so far. Would love to see the movie.

I remember when they came to Oban to shoot some of that. The Penny Saver store is actually the old Kwik Save where I used to work :P

  • really? what can you say about samantha morton since you're from uk and you've probably seen them shoot

  • Can't say anything about her really, all I saw was one take they did. It was in the freezer aisle, can't remember if she was the only one in shot or not. I think they did most of the shooting at night, the store scenes were in an actual supermarket.

It was a Kwik Save store but it's now a Lidl.

Though I do recognise a few of the store shots , like at 1:14. That door she goes through doesn't really lead anywhere :P

There's the toilets, the back door and the smallest staffroom you've ever seen.

  • Actually I think they did a shot in there, someone wrote their name on the whiteboard in huge letters, I wonder if that made it into the film :D

I know they did a few shots in town aswell IIRC a small alleyway along George Street, which is the main street in Oban.

I remember now seeing bits of this on BBC2 a few years back, wish I'd watched the whole thing :P

  • Great movie!

  • I´M STICKIN´WITH .. THIS FILM.-

  • one of my favorite movies

  • Did you put this video together yourself./ Or is it a trailer? Or a clip from the film?

  • it's guerilla editing, home made :-)
