In fact, that most of these symbols are not even picked up by most because they're so mundane and open for interpritation. These features were probably put into the game because they looked good or had some form of aestetic appeal, not because the game devs wanted to make a statement. ect.

The whole eye thing was actually a popular description of god in the 18th century. except some people chose to interprite it as the illuminati. The black and white tiles are just for visual high impact without the use of colours. and triangles are a principle shape in engineering used for their strength.
