  • Les Paul & Mary Ford both fall into that multi-gifted class called "genius". It's probably impossible to know how many musicians, vocalists & styles they both influenced in the '40's and thereafter. Listen closely to the music coming out of that period of history and their shadows both are there. The both made the world a better place. Thank you for sharing and educating those just now becoming aware & solid fans alike.

  • This is one of 195 five minute daily programs Les and Mary filmed in 1954-'55 that was widely syndicated [Channel 5 in New York, WABD at the time, was the "flagship station"} and nationally sponsored by Warner-Lambert's Listerine and Warner-Hudnut's Richard Hudnut hair care products.

  • bet he had a church key in his right pocket!

  • Not exactly Lucy and Desi, but, man, could she sing!

  • And Les always BBQs with a, well, everyone should know what's around his neck

  • Thanks for uploading!!!

  • Les was sweep pickin' like a Champ TEN years before Yngwie Malmsteen was born...wowzah !

  • The concept was hokey like most shows of that era but no mistaking that the music was classic. Totally awesome recordings. Talent unparalelled!

  • Listerine is serious business.

    I <3 LP/MF

  • I hear God spells his name ( Les Paul )

  • Amen

  • Mary's voice is beautiful! I wish I could play guitar like Les Paul.

  • A lot of these videos are displayed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on an old TV in Les Paul's very own wing there. It's pretty neat. Got to meet him after he did a concert there...even signed a CD for me. He can still play pretty good guitar at his age. Thanks for the videos GrumpyPolecat

  • god bless you for uploading this.

    never forget les.

  • I've been looking through these videos and I can't find the one where they play "The world is waiting for the sunrise". do you know where it is?

  • Just enter title of song in search box. You will see it.

  • Amazing how Les Paul's voice/dialect is just like Joe Pesci's.

  • Glad you enjoyed.

  • I found this by chance - Always loved Les and Mary. Thanks for sharing it.!!
