  • wtf that speaker in the beginning couldn't have been more wrong about everything she said

  • rhcp were out before faith was dumb bitch

  • I'd prefer a Mr. Bungle reunion.

  • That overview in the begining is totaly inacurate.

  • mondo connay???

  • @AntiChris1996 Mondo Cane. Italian for "The world is a dog" or something like that.

  • @uiruu i know its pronounces mondo cane but the girl pronounces it like a retard

  • @AntiChris1996 No.... that's how its pronounced.

  • @uiruu its not pronounced mondo cayn?

  • @AntiChris1996 no. It's Italian. Mondo Cannay

  • my cuzin is the drumer in this band

  • @Super196700 You're related to Mike Bordin?

  • @Super196700 yes im related on my moms side but never met the guy but really want to ( were cuzinsi belive )

  • Mighty Mighty Bosstones namedrop + Mike Patton interview = SEX

  • that wisconsinrun comment is funny funny but tru

  • Wow I have never thought it was possible...I mean 3 of my favorite bands, Alice in Chains (-Layne), Soundgarden, Faith No More are all back together, some of them even putting out new stuff.

  • Robert Downey JR omg

  • I don't want Faith No More reunion!!! I want Mr. Bungle reunion! ;(

Don't get me wrong... I love FNM, but I REALLY miss Mr. Bungle....

  • He reminds me of Ze Frank.

  • Mondo Cane is not a band. It's an album.

And I'm pretty sure the number of bands he's fronting is waaaayyyy more than four... If it's not then it better be.

  • @larry52333 eh...it's a band..well it's Mike and a fucking orchestra..it is definitely a live show thing..

  • @dianmc but Mondo Cane isn't the name of the "band", it's just the name of the album. The album is credited to Mike Patton and he just had an orchestra to back up his vocals, make sense? Either way, if you want to call it a band or an album or whatever, it's all good. Music rocks and that's all that really matters.

  • @larry52333 FNM, Fantomas, Crudo, Peeping Tom..(tho hopefully we have seen the last of that project) Tomahawk, MR.Bungle, Lovage...Mondo Cane (not technically a band but much more than just an album)..and, anything is possible now after the FNM reuinion and the Zorn stuff..Stuff with Zu..he has done some tracks with Mark Lanegan..not many people he has not worked with tho lol..a lot he could choose from for 2011

  • @dianmc Good point. It is more than an album. Let's just call it a project, because I suppose that's probably the proper term for it. Dude's a genius, that's why so many people want to work with him!

  • FNM's NYC 2010 tour > Will never forget their concert...

  • He is such an excellent conversationalist

  • How do media personalities get things so fucking way off wrong? Who screens and fact-checks this stuff? Errors all over the place. Clearing the way for the chili-peppers and the bosstones? huh? Total misinformation.

  • 1:09 His speaking vocal quality is very similar to Robert Downey Jr.'s . . . just an observation. Anyway, MIKE PATTON is great! :)

  • got my ticket Hollywood 12-1-10

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE TALKING ABOUT

    First Albums

    RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS-1984

    FAITH NO MORE- 1989

    RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS-1984

  • @isaacADD faith no more started in 1981. first album was in 1985. second was in 1987 and the 3rd one was in 1989.

  • @thebeatings And that third one is when Mike Patton came in. It was his first album work with FNM. And I liked "The Real Thing" myself. Not bad for his first time on vocals with a band. But, I think where he really shined was on their 4th studio album, "Angel Dust". "Ashes To Ashes" and "Midlife Crisis" pure masterpieces.

  • @MetallicaKing48 He was playing with Mr. Bungle a long time before Faith No More.

  • Mike is a cutie pie...aging very well!!

  • i hope soooooooooooooooo

  • he used to be so hot...yeah maybe just get rid of the facial hair yeah he totally looks gangsta

  • awesome

  • angel dust wow thank you, i love you bro.

  • what a fucking stupid bitch FNM opened the door for the peppers...no fucking way

  • @darthtortugas I love em both. But it's definately the other way around.

  • @AceOfSpade1234 amen

  • @darthtortugas you said it...xxx Flo W....

  • I was listening to Freaky Styley and Mother's Milk way before Faith no More. They have nothing to do with one another and sound nothing alike.

  • Bloß keine Filmmusik!

Kommt wieder zusammen und spielt wie in alten Tagen echte rockige Ohrwürmer!!!

  • Was it absolutely necessary to say "RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS BRAND"? We all know it's the other way around. Even if they do have talent, the breakthrough was from FNM.

  • Man I had such a crush on him for a lot of years. lol. He's an amazing singer. One of my all time faves. And he's funny as sh*t.

  • The Opening song Is "The Godfather" from Fantomas' Director's Cut Album! A Must Have!

  • please, does anybody know whats the name of the song, which opens this report?

  • Faith No More needs to do one world tour and go to EVERY state!!

  • The best, he's the man that can just do his thing and enjoy it.

  • Mike Patton is an awesome singer!

  • What's the song at the begginging of the vid' please?

  • @dagobableach "The Godfather" from Fantomas' Director's Cut Album. :)

  • He's still hot! Great singer too! Most underrated rock singer.

  • i want to shoot the woman who talks over the video in the face.....incredibly annoying voice

  • your facial hair fails, mike

  • gawd no matter what decade it is he looks 25......someone interview him about his skin care cuz i want some answers damnit

  • @Lillzbe A healthy diet and workout regime and television makeup will make anyone look a decade younger. It also helps to be a handsome dude.

  • Awesome now all he needs to do is make a new mr.bungle album then my life is complete

  • mike patton also did the zombies in left 4 dead heh

    he's the man

  • The greatest of all fucking time!!

  • wheres the poo?!!

  • 31 seconds in. Looks ridiculously like Jimmy Nail in the middle.

  • Dayum he is still as hot as he was back in the day....YUMMY!!!!!!

  • The King!!!

  • Listen to Papa Baloo.. please?

  • Egg!

  • I SAW THEM IN MONTERREY, MEXICO AND IT WAS PURE METAL THEY ARE BEASTS!!!! I WAS INFRONT OF THEM IN THE FIRST LINE

  • How are the Red Hot Chili Peppers different than Harriet Tubman?

Harriet Tubman was a heroine to the slaves.... RHCP are slaves to heroin!!

  • @kshadford HAHAHAHA awesome

  • Faith No More's music was and is awesome and distinctive to this day, but the Chili Peppers paved their own way. Actually, I remember the Chili Peppers video for Higher Ground coming long before Epic

  • @beAllbugger Higher Ground isn't their own song...so if that was their first big song,Stevie Wonder paved their way.

  • mike does the voices for the infected and special infected in Left for Dead

  • I dont think a re union is possible

  • @maldororfiend they've already reunited

  • @ih8japscraps it was sarcasm. I' ve been to one of their shows

  • @ih8japscraps no i'm sure they'll never reunite

  • faith no more forever!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I want to have babies with you Mike!

  • has anyone noticed how patton looks exactly the fucking same as he did 21 years ago???? LMAO

  • My question is, how could FNM be ''ripping off'' of RHCP, if FNM is one of the influences FOR RHCP? That kinda doesn't make sense...I find it hard to understand how Faith No More, the band that the lady in this video JUST SAID inspired RHCP's initial sound, could rip off from that same band. If anything, it'd be the other way around. Just sayin'.

  • i been in love with him since i was 13 <3

  • man this bitch talking is getting very annoying. i cant look up anything from van halen to fucking megadeth without this bitch telling me old news...

  • what song was he preforming in the black and white sequence in the beginning?

  • What's the song in the back ?

  • @pedt its called "epic"

  • nah that wasnt epic, it sounds liek the la la song.right before epic comes on

  • nooo right before epic comes on.

  • A once brilliant band but they weren't worth anything after they weirdly sacked martin

  • @wotdoesthisbuttondo

It's your opinion, but FNM wasn't supposed to be only metal, Martin though he was in a metal band

  • @Miskatakeable thought-

  • Patton is, without a doubt, one of the most talented, original, and unaffected singers out there. Saw FNM at Coachella a few weeks back and I swear they sounded better than they did when I saw them at the Huntridge (all ages venue in Las Vegas) 20 years ago. The dude is prolific, humble, and crazy. Oh, and the reason he looks like he's barely aged? His only vice is coffee. And taking shits in people's shoes. And pissing on stuff. Whatta kook -- HE RULES.

  • FAITH NO MORE!!!!!! favorite band rigt there son!!!!

  • What's funny is, this was 2 years ago and purely speculation even on Patton's part. Sure glad it finally happened. I wish there was an interview with the band explaining how and why it happened. All the details! :)

  • Welcome back FNM!

  • coachella 2010!!

  • This lady talking on here is funny. How did the mighty bosstones benifit from their success?

  • Shit, saw FNM two days ago and it's good they are back what an amazing show. But fuck, people want Tomahawk, Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, (Peeping tom is great but Mike's other bands are better) I love the man but he is getting old and I don't know if he'll be able to put up with those bands anymore. But since Bungle is my favorite and his FIRST band ever, I want them to come back.

  • wat is the song at the end

  • Mike Patton= God

  • NO, PLEASE, DON'T REUNITE.. I want more tomahawk, more new experiments, more steps FORWARD.

  • always interesting reading comments about faith no more, soundgarden, etc reunions from people that don't realize it's already gone down.

  • Bands like korn and the mighty mighty boss tones? What is this lady talking about?

  • i know right..

  • "currently fronting mondo cane"

does she know what's exactly mondo cane...

And do they ALWAYS put "epic" when it comes about FNM... not representative at all of their style...

  • @acdgui Epic was the first single off The Real Thing and really catapulted them into main stream stardom.

So it would seem that, to the mass public, Epic is most easily associated with Faith No More.

  • @junglehead99 I know i know... but as i said it's not really representative of the band.

  • WTF the fuck is the reporter talkin bout....the real thing diden't inspire the chili peppers...the chili peppers were around long b4 the the real thing came out

  • @dane21dc

She said their success helped open the door to "The Red Hot Chili Peppers'" kind of funk, which it did.

  • I don't HATE the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but fuck what Kiedis said: what kind of ignorance is possible where you are inspired by a band, and then claim that THEY ripped YOU off.

  • What the fuck is this "reporter" talking about... what the fuck do the mighty mighty bosstones have to do with this?

Where do they dig up these vacuous bimbos. nice research ball gag. Lets just throw in the names of some popular 90's bands and that will do.

Now I know why he doesn't do interviews

  • @CameronSpence82 Dude, that is so funny! That gagger has no fucking clue what she's talking about.

  • I know right... I just mentioned that to my gf yesterday... especially the shot of Downey Jr when he's in court in the orange jump suit.

  • Comment removed

  • Mr Mike Patton is hot! *drools* and very talented of course.

  • patton has aged well, unlike so many burned out rocker dudes!

  • You're right, and having seen FNM a couple of months ago in Argentina I have to say that now he's also delivering better live shows too. His voice sounds just astounding, and he is fucking magnetic, you can't stop staring at him.

He's grown both as a musician and as a person: he is working in one of the greatest projects he's ever done (Mondo Cane), he made peaces with his FNM past, and he seems so much relaxed too (with the fans, media, etc.).

Mike's like a good wine: the older, the better.

  • @WisconsinRun : aged well??? he's just 40! .... aged well ... omg

  • @WisconsinRun

the older he gets the more mafia he looks. Its win win.

  • @MrRiuven He'd sell you a fucked up car in no time!

  • @WisconsinRun He has talent, brains, and looks; the trifecta! He even seems humble. I certainly wouldn't kick him out of bed.

  • gonna be at coachella, so yeah, they got back together haha.

  • Mike Patton would have been a good front man for Nuclear Rabbit.

  • first song of this video : legless liss,

    kaada&patton / 2005 copenhagen

  • I'm shocked to hear Patton say this, because I've seen him mock and deride FNM in other interviews. I guess he has matured on the subject a bit. Would love to see a reunion of FNM or Mr.Bungle.

  • Well, Faith No More is reunited. Now we can only hope for Bungle. It ain't lookin too good for them though, although they're my favorite Patton band ever. Gotta love California

  • Gotta LOVE Disco Volante...too.

    :o)

  • I seen faith no more last summer so they must have reformed. Ha Ha. Man they fucking kicked ass. Better than i ever imagined they would be.

  • a little late and uninformed inthefade.

I saw FNM in Chile almost 3 months ago.

A great reunion by the way

  • And that's the Angel Dust cover.

  • to me he is THE coolest and best singer in the whole world

  • what is the first song that plays on this video?????????

  • Mike Patton is one of the coolest singers on this fucking world!

  • agree wiv tha DR..saw Faith no more supportin GNR in manchester 1997 n these guys need to get back on tha circuit n kik RHCP ass..do luv RHCP :-D

  • @faaip0de0oaid with serj tankian

  • I've always liked FNM (and most other Patton-related projects, especially Bungle)--but this interviewer overstates their importance a bit. The Chili Peppers were doing their thing well before Epic hit it big. FNM was simply the first band to bring rap/funk/metal to the MTV mainstream, which actually pissed the Chilis off pretty bad cuz they viewed them as ripping off their shit and making big money with it. I agree with the guy below, though, a Bungle reunion would be it

  • it wasn't just the 'funk metal' that made them influential. it was their atmosphere, their use of keyboards, and the syncronized drum/bass combo, which was practically the foundation of nu-metal.

I agree with your second point though, and that's why i hate when people talk about how influential 'The Real Thing' was. I'd argue that 'Angel Dust' was more influential, and more original too.

  • Don't get me wrong, I love Faith No More, but they didn't pave the way for the Bosstones... No sir! No sir! or Mam.

  • seeing them at soundwave :)

  • same cant wait

  • ITS IT! What is it?! ITS IT!

  • _|_

  • I'd be much more excited about a Mr. Bungle reunion. But that'll never happen.

  • there is a reunion you idiot they coming to nz soon

  • Reminds me of the best years of my life (uni days!) Come back 1990s!!!

  • word

  • pense que era un video RICK ROLL, menos mal.

  • Just saw then last nite in Mexico city.

    Awesome concert!!

  • The show in Rio........ the best!!!!!

  • I agree with slimsim74

  • I like both bands for different reasons - liked FNM first and got into the chillis later - still prefer FNM though

  • only stupids can compare Kiedis with Patton...

Patton is a singer, Kiedis not. I like rdcp, but Kiedis don't know how to sing =P

  • given that RHCP had recoreded 2 albums b4 FNM with mike, i think she is spinning shit, Long Live Mudhoney

  • But they were still underground. They didn't really hit until BSSM (4th), which was after Angel Dust (4th).

  • Mothers Milk, was the first mainstream(slightly succesful) Funk,Metal,Punk Crossover, just ask George Clinton

  • And yet, every time I'd mention them, most of the white high-school kids responded with Red Hot who? until BSSM hit.

  • Mid to late 80's different here in OZ

  • so... the 'other stuff' he was talking about is the tour they're doing right now?

    are they doing a reunion?

i want them to continue recording&touring sooo bad

they had a show in my country in september 3rd but that was befor i started listening to them so i didnt go and i regret that soooooo badly !!!

  • lol, you started listening to fnm 2 month ago?

looks like you past something like 15 years.

can't be a big fan then

  • Yeah, Anthony Kiedis cannot have been happy hearing 0:21

  • Didnt Rhcp have albums before that song even came out?

  • Yeah, that's what I mean...and the Chilis sounded more rocky like FNM back then...Still, Patton beats Kiedis.

  • FNM has been around a lot longer than RCHP.

  • I wasnt aware

  • 2 years? Wouldn't count that as "a lot longer" personally! Though at least FNM still rock where as RHCP now suck balls and have done since shitty Californication! They were much better when they took class A's...shame!

  • that's not metal fuckin retards, that fuckin alternative shit, destroy metal

  • No they weren't. King for a day, fool for a lifetime is an awesome album, but yes, album of the year is a pretty average album as a whole.

  • I love mike patton *-*

  • i think mike patton in general was a little bit more ahead of his time than rhcp, but it still hit at the right time, i dont know what im sayin
