My Son has had a satellite a135-4656 for 5 years and is now first year law its still chugging along, he's considering an upgrade to a SSD drive

LOL 0:53 Full Windows Vista Airero. This guy is a joke. Plus the laptop sucked when it came out and still sucks even more now. I should never have bought one. Plus Windows Vista never even worked properly on it.

Great Laptop. Love it now. Absolutely hated it before I downgraded to XP Pro from that piece of crap Vista abomination that it came with. But now, with 2GB ram & XP,it works solid as a rock! I did the downgrade a few years back and still proud of the way I worked out the kinks of going to a older, but reliable OS. Its been with me in Iraq where theres tons of sand and got lightly knocked around on so many plain trips but it still manages to run smooth.

I have this Laptop and Its super slow from the factory. I upgraded to 4gigs of Ram and the The Duo 1.73Ghz make this computer insanely fast. I use it for online gaming and i have no problem with it. Just keep it cool..

OMG i LOVE it like a family member... my system rating is 3.0 o_O

My specs are:

2 GB ram

80 GB Hard Drive

1.6 GHz intel Celeron

and it has Vista Home Basic... I wish I had premium ultimate or windows 7 >:(

But at least it's pretty much ALWAYS fast.

I had to replace mine about a year ago because it overheated when I was playing games. once, smoke started coming out of the ventilation system. I cooled it off, but turns out it was so hot that part of the bottom plastic burned off. I am very dissapointed. I wish I could get the $1200 i paid for it back, but all Toshiba gave me was store credit. Guess what? Im never going to buy anything from Toshiba, so $1200 store credit = $0 to me

@mypassmark1 maybe you shoulda let you should turn it off every 2 hrs you play and let it rest atleast 1hr and dont leave it on and unplug the charger when your done playing it wouldnt happen and clean the dust out of the fan once a while daily maintainance

I paid $250 for mine and it came with printer both brand new from Best Buy. It works great, the only problem that I have had with mine is the power supply cord. I had to buy a couple of those. The cord I have now is just soldered together. great deal for $250. I got on the black friday sale.

i have a toshiba sattelite a135 and it's terrible. DO NOT BUY ONE. the usb's went, the hard drive went, windows crashed twice, i have the blue screen of death which is a blue screen that pops up and turns of your computer, i get so many error messages, and now its totaly dead, the power light goes on and nothing happens. the disk drive doesn't open, and the screen doesn't go on.i take really good care of my computer though. Combine vista and a toshiba sattelite and get a waste of $500.00 DONTBUY

I've been doing some research on this computer because i'm getting one soon. The reason for the freezing may be that this computer might not have much RAM. I found the cheapest way (to me at least) to upgrade your RAM was to go out and buy a flash drive, then use ReadyBoost to add instant RAM. Good Luck!

Actually, I use both systems. I've a Windoze laptop, which has it's uses, and I've a Mac, which has it's own. Learn to write proper English, your grammar is pathetic.

Either way. I am not a Mac fan, I can just appreciate a system for what it can do. Windows will always have the upper hand in games, hence why I have one, and Macs will always be better at everything else, movie, photo, and music editing.
