This is bull, Sorcerers (male version) are forbidden in Naggaroth and are KoS. They would never be able to walk around in broad daylight without getting killed by other Dark Elves.

The lore for Warhammer is that the Dark Elves are two factions: the worshipers of Khaine (Khorne), led by the Witch King; and the Cult of Pleasure (Slaanesh) led by the Witch King's succubus mother Morathi.

Dark Elf men have no inherent magical abilities (the Witch King's name implies that he presides over the Witch Elves, who are all women), but the women are gifted with Slaanesh's chaos magic through Morathi's lineage.

Thus some women are taken by Morathi and turned into Sorceresses. Dark Elf men are not allowed to be trained in magic, and any who attempt to do so are killed.

There's tons of books on the Warhammer lore you can find, and yes, there is a ton of lore in the rule books, but they usually run for around $50, so I wouldn't recommend buying the rulebook, unless you've got money to burn.
