Probably from the age in 5 on, most Euro countries learn a second language, while yours still can't communicate with your spanish speaking immigrants, but then again the norwegian education system is ranked much higher than yours, then again so are most of the countries in rest of the world. Heres a thought try and find Norway on the globe , educate yourself

@derbigpr500 Many people here had families that immigrated to the US. It became more sensible to blend in, not have an accent and even "Anglicized" their names. However, there are people with strong family ties that speak their "mother" tongue and many speak Spanish (especially near the southern border) but in general, you simply wouldn't have anyone to "practice" with speaking other languages here. I used to speak French and Polish but barely understand it anymore.
If we had a lot of countries surrounding us like Europeans do then out of necessity we would speak multiple languages, too. We have Canada above us, Mexico below us, the Pacific and the Atlantic on either side of us. Where I live, a lot of Americans do speak Spanish because of all the Spanish people that are coming here ( I know a little too; you pick it up). And all the Canadians I've met speak English, not French. Why would we ever need to speak a lot of languages? There's no need.

@sherhak Of the countries having the most population with university graduates indeed Russia is number one while Canada who is number 2 is there largely thanks to the massive immigration of European graduates there seeking better jobs.
However, the country with most university graduates/post-gradutates per population, that is Greece. Empire or no empire,money or no money, Greeks are STILL the most educated in the world either we like it or not.
@sherhak I have experienced both european and USA studies and postgraduates too, many of my friends the same. There is absolutely no question that European universities are much morre serious, better quality and harred to get a degree on. I am not an european, just living in The Netherlands now after Asia, South America and Eastern Europe, so.... I think i CAN tell. No comparison, also between highschool levels of EU and USA....EU is much better. US knows only US, EU knows the whole world :-)
i've studied in latin america, EU, middle east, and US, also at graduate and post grad levels. i agree that high school levels are not comparable, with EU being superior. but at college level, US offers superior education, not just in levels of difficulty, but in terms of variety, opportunity and quality of education. harvard, MIT, stanford, princeton and berkeley (all in US) are voted the top 4 best universities in the world by several european research organizations.

They do most of their trading with Canada, which is also an English speaking country. They don't need it... English is the language used around the world. Yes it would be beneficial to know another language but its not really necessary over here.

the reason it is from earth is the tragectory- the spiral indicates the guidance system failed and the glow is the heat of the rocket contrail lighting up the cold air.
had the trajectory come from outer spce inward to the earth, then you would indeed have a mystery.

a bulava missile is a perposterous explanation for many reasons:
- if a bulava was spinning out of control, it wouldn't sit in one place and spin at a constant rate, it's movement would be much more erratic
- the spiral is much too big to be caused by a bulava. it was seen for hundreds of miles
- what is the beam of light going from the spiral towards the ground? there is no feature on the bulava that could cause such a beam

@derbigpr500 Many people here had families that immigrated to the US. It became more sensible to blend in, not have an accent and even "Anglicized" their names. However, there are people with strong family ties that speak their "mother" tongue and many speak Spanish (especially near the southern border) but in general, you simply wouldn't have anyone to "practice" with speaking other languages here. I used to speak French and Polish but barely understand it anymore.

If we had a lot of countries surrounding us like Europeans do then out of necessity we would speak multiple languages, too. We have Canada above us, Mexico below us, the Pacific and the Atlantic on either side of us. Where I live, a lot of Americans do speak Spanish because of all the Spanish people that are coming here ( I know a little too; you pick it up). And all the Canadians I've met speak English, not French. Why would we ever need to speak a lot of languages? There's no need.

@KeizNL in USA and canada, asian, indian, and middle eastern immigrants are among the highest educated and doctoral level graduates, so they raise the statistics. i don't know the demographics in the netherlands too well, but in scandinavia, the immigrants are very educated because the countries are highly democratic in providing high quality free education. i suspect holland to be up there among the best though. it usually is in humanitarian and democratic gestures.

@Pamfilo22 europeans are better informed and speak more languages. but it's also much harder to pinpoint 'average' americans because US is so diverse. while US has a large uninformed segment of population, it also has a very large extremely educated segment. of the top 10 highest rated universities in the world, 7 are in USA. in higher education, USA is the world leader, but russia has more college graduates per capita, and sweden spends the most per capita on education.

However, the country with most university graduates/post-gradutates per population, that is Greece. Empire or no empire,money or no money, Greeks are STILL the most educated in the world either we like it or not.

@sherhak I have experienced both european and USA studies and postgraduates too, many of my friends the same. There is absolutely no question that European universities are much morre serious, better quality and harred to get a degree on. I am not an european, just living in The Netherlands now after Asia, South America and Eastern Europe, so.... I think i CAN tell. No comparison, also between highschool levels of EU and USA....EU is much better. US knows only US, EU knows the whole world :-)

i've studied in latin america, EU, middle east, and US, also at graduate and post grad levels. i agree that high school levels are not comparable, with EU being superior. but at college level, US offers superior education, not just in levels of difficulty, but in terms of variety, opportunity and quality of education. harvard, MIT, stanford, princeton and berkeley (all in US) are voted the top 4 best universities in the world by several european research organizations.

They do most of their trading with Canada, which is also an English speaking country. They don't need it... English is the language used around the world. Yes it would be beneficial to know another language but its not really necessary over here.

Go search for a rocket/ufo on the east coast of aus about august last year and you will see what we Australians saw of the first Falcon9 rocket.
The reason the rocket looks stationary is because the rocket is so far away. Ever noticed how planes look slow even though they are going at 100's of Km/h

the reason it is from earth is the tragectory- the spiral indicates the guidance system failed and the glow is the heat of the rocket contrail lighting up the cold air.
had the trajectory come from outer spce inward to the earth, then you would indeed have a mystery.
