Lol you worry too much. It wont overheat due to the reduction of power usage and that will reduce heat in the console in return. Just because something is smaller doesn't always mean it will overheat, especially when an experience company like Sony knows the architecture of hardware designing.

I doubt the ps3 slim will overheat. Remember they changed the chipset to 45nm which in itself will run cooler so the fans in the slim will be more than enough. Also linux wasn't that big of a deal anyway to the major who bought the console so its not a big loss at all.The only major thing missing is ps2 backwards compatibility. Outside of that, this version of the console will sell very well and would most likely outsell the 360 this holiday season.

the slim has no space inside the box so the heat is traped inside, you must have diarea in your head. Think about it, if you have a sapce heater it has to be in a fairly large room, if the room is small, than its likely to be too hot.

Same with this one. there is no linux installation on the ps3 slim, which is one of the reasons i want a ps3 since with linux and wine it will run like a friggin beast.

mate, the amount of players has never been an issue as i find a game in seconds, also you have to pay for live, whereas its not only free for us but we also get dedicated gaming servers,UNLIKE LIVE. and we get better avatars, easier chat system and better service as our servers dont ever crash for several hours.
