  • Ive taken her out and stayed on her for a few weekends. The only thing i check is the swing keel bolt when i launch her. Her name is KEELIN TIME

  • Haha.. yeah.. if that bolt aint tight she'll leeeeeek. la otra mujer AKA: "Jane Marie" used to pick up a half gallon or so of sea water every time I took her out. The last time, I home.. found all that water and I finally LOST IT. I level her out best I could & filled her cockpit and cabin up with the garden hose till some friggin water came outa somewhere. Didn't take long either. Water started running out of the centerboard trunk. Figured it was a bad seal between the rubber washers & trunk.

  • Hey the best way to check is when you put her in the water. Go to the bolt and use TP from yoor head. wad it up and just touch the washer and bolt. If you see it wet its leaking and then just tighten 1/4 turn and test again. I use washers and silicon to stop leaks and have fixed her on the water. To heck with filling her with water ive got to much electronics in her. TV,stereo, all my utensils, clothes, food, blankets BOOZ lol. Just ahve fun

  • Tried check her in th water but by the time I tied her up and got onboard, there was already too much water to see where it was comming from. Now when I find water, it's usually rain water that blew in thru a hatch. I have a salinity meter (Refractometer) that I use to tell if it's salt or fresh H2O. (Begin Chinese Accent)

Salt = Leak... fresh = bad seal on hatch during rain storm. lol.

  • I carry a large spong and when i see water i soak it up and use a towel to dry then try the paper method. spong was cheaper than the meter.

  • Hi, I liked your video..

I have a venture 17 that I've "Mostly restored". Added some lights, hardware, n stuff... Your title says 1969 24 venture.

But looks like 17... which is it?

  • Its a 24 hull #99

  • Whoa... the resemblance is uncanny.

Mine's a 73... blue and white. I call her la otra mujer... Seen her do some crazy sh.... stuff on the water... She's a pretty dry boat in rough water.

Have you taken your girl out yet?
