Word of warning...been using this for a while, and although its a fantastic effect. it does somtimes distort the footage if the original footage is really shakey. its a bit hit and miss, BUT saying that i do love it ..

@speedcontrol21 search stabilize in the plugin window, drag and drop wait for it to analyze the footage and bam there you have it. its called wrap stabilizer, hope this helped

Im trying to stabilize some video and it's a total pain in the arse. AE5.5 doesn't seem to do a good job of stabilizing video for me, but all the tutorial videos I see on youtube show really good results, its driving me crazy. I've found that having a horizon that rotates and moves off centre really screws wit the auto stabilize feature and makes everything warp far too much instead of just crop or re-position. Does anyone have any good tute vids for really rocky video?

@AaronsGCGoPro just anylise the video ..should stabalize perfect ...open effects--distort....warp stabaliser.....then it should start straight away ....i always put the smoothness to 100%

okkkkkk I GOT IT! it's a new function of AE5.5 called WARP STABILIZER and it needs just 1 click over it to get this result!!! FANTASTIC!

The Only Draw back is after the Stabilization a video is zoomed around 15% , the process cuts some edges from the video , in order to make it Stabilize !! it obviously decrease some pixel !

Hi guys... Im trying to stabilize an 1080p video on my 2011 macbook pro and for some reason, the exported video would be very low quality and I am exporting H.264 full HD... what am I doing wrong? Thanks!

@cilproductions what you're doing wrong is exporting in H.264.. try MOV (Quicktime as photo-jpeg) or MPEG 2.

@jeanpatriceduce friend, using steadycam is because usually the rendering for making so much timpo imajen and not only imajenes 30 seconds if not much more, but as is practical and relatively time is earned equals money. well at least those who sell their work this is my opinion

When I click on Stabilize Motion, it brings up a point in the middle of the composition that says next to it " Track ". I doesn't seem to do the 2 Steps. Is there something I did wrong?
