Standing by the President! We can't just watch people be murdered and do nothing. To stand by and watch atrocities and do nothing would make us no better and no more innocent then the LIbyan military and Gaddafi himself. Why is it so hard for us to put ourselves in someone else's shoes?
One of the problems in what you are saying is that it hasn't been proved that gadhafi is killing his popilation.
An other problem rises when you notice that in Saoudit Arabia (your closest allie), in Yemen, in North Corea, in Ivory coast, in Palestine( civilians being slaughtered by israeli soldiers), in many other countries there is prove that worse than what gadhafi is accused of is hapening, yet the US doesn't do anything about that !

Gadhafi said himself that he is responsible for the killings and that they will not stop. On the news earlier they showed children with their body parts blown off in hospitals with no supplies. What the heck do you mean there has been no proof? The only thing that they are not certain of is who is leading the rebel cause so it HAS been proven.
