  • hehe yeah he just tune on its own its not standard, God bless chris for what he has done he bless many people..

    Inspire more...

  • I THINK HE PLAYEDIN C#

  • hey guys, he said that he'd prefer to do the DADGAD tuning, but he can't tune on the fly and doesn't like having multiple guitars. It's regular tuning. If it wasn't, then his G chord in the verse would have had to stretch or move positions. his main point is that he doesn't like to move alot. So he's keeping his fingers in the D position, and just moving one finger or so as discrete bass lines.

  • i dont get this...did he tune his guitar down or something?!?!?

  • i don't get this!? did he tune his guitar weirdly or something?

  • everything is a half step down I think

  • whoops...spoke too soon. E strings are dropped to D. He says it just before 5:00

  • He said he likes to use that tuning. But it's definetely not that. His G wouldn't look like a G otherwise. It's most likely a half step down. I don't have perfect pitch, but it's definately

  • ...all tuned in fourths (and a third). It's not some weird tuning. (This is in response to Matthew1028 below. Sorry for not being good at the internet. :])

  • another thing, he played the bridge totally different than the album and passion.....

  • tomlin's music is like a fine wine..... just gets better with age..... and it's the Spirit of God that gives it the graceful aging....

  • Chris is a blessed song writer and inspiration to us listeners and writers. His music captures the tenderness of God, the greatness of God, and the praises due to the Lord Most High! Thanks for sharing the video.

  • Yeah, he was either really tired or wasn't feeling good. Either way, I wish I could do half as good on a good day as he does on one of his bad days! LOL

  • i think he wasn't feeling well this day cause he did tune a half step down and he didn't sing the second verse. he cut it short so i don't think his full was full throttle.

  • he also sang the bridge really low but its all good =]

  • it really isnt that hard to play its only d and g in the verse and the chorus is a walk down with D - A/C# - Cadd9 - Bm - and then Em7 - Asus

  • Is it me, or is that hard to play? I treid like right after I watched it, and I couldnt do it lol.. well not realyl anyway... I thought it was hard..Im dumb :( lol

  • You're right, it's in D flat. This song's great but is easier to sing in B flat - capo on 3rd fret and start on G

  • THANKS GOD FOR UR LIFE!

  • he's also tuned a half step down which i'm not sure if he said or not
