I was born here, unfortunately my parents choose to live in Holland. We still have a house in Rincon, one remark: Papiamentu is not a dialect of Dutch, but a Creole language wich has as basis 17th century Portuguese, mixed with African, Spanish and Dutch influences. So it is a Creole-Latin language. An European Dutchman would understand only the 4% Dutch words the Boneiranu use ( If he does not speak spanish/portuguese that is)
