Plus the aveda version of volumizing powder contains less chemicals because it's aveda of course :) so you'll love it more cause I know your about being natural
Control force is the most ahhhmazing hairspray. I'm a aveda hairstylist and I've done fashion shows using like a whole can on each person and I have to brush through it to give them a new style. No white flakes. It's amazing and holds like no other. Also btw aveda makes a volumizing powder. It's called hair potion and it's the best you'll use!!
@SLAMSwan well not exactly because i dont put it on top of my roots, so when i get oily i'll use a dry shampoo to kinda blast away any oil, buuttt the volumizing powder does help a little i think
Wal-Mart sells a few hair volume powders. I use the one by Got2b and It's about $5.00. They also carry another one. PAIN in the butt to wash out!!! If you're going to use these, better use a clarifying shampoo or you'll get a ton of build up.
@Jerseygals123 i dont!! i know how freaking crazy?? haha i do have extensions i got for my engagement pics after my horrible haircut but havnt worn them since..i should though to get my moneys worth... :?
But your hair is already so long and thick and beautiful...Mine is actually thin...I can't get away with much teasing without it looking silly. I've found the only thing that works for me is blowdrying with a round brush and volumizing mousse. But to each her own, this video was still very informative. But mostly I just jealously admired your hair :p
@pennylane0x try a volumizing mousse after you wash it, and before you blow dry. my friend has really thin hair and i tried this on her and it totally worked! i just had to really mess with it and rough it up a bit
Ive had the Schwarzkopf Osis Dust it for a long time and I thought it was so gross cause I didn't know how to use it lol. But I'm gonna try it now thanks to you lol
I've tried the Big Sexy Hair powder and had no success, but maybe I just didn't know what I was doing! I thought it felt so tacky and dirty like you were trying to explain and freaked out. I think I will give the Beyond the Zone one a try as I too am trying to go 3 days without washing my hair. I LOVE the time it saves me in the mornings! I was wondering, do you experience greasiness at all on day 2 or 3? If so, does the powder help camouflage that or do you use another product for that? Thanks!
@jessieholl i dont experience any grease because i dont put it on top of my hair, just underneath..if i do get greasy i'll put some dry shampoo on top. but this stuff doesnt really cause my hair to get greasy ive found
I have a powder like that from Big Sexy Hair, but I've wondered if that one from Sally's is any good ... glad to know it works for you. I'll try that one next time 'cause I think that's way cheaper. I have the dry shampoo from that same Beyond the Zone line and it works great. Do you ever use dry shampoo? What is your favorite?

So, does the volumizing powder act as a dry shampoo?

Is that volumizing powder like a dry shampoo? Like does it absorb oil?

DId you flat iron your hair the day before? I'm wondering if you can still get volume if your hair was flat ironed first. Thanks.

So a volumizing powder is different than a dry shampoo?
MrsMadson915 1 month ago
@MrsMadson915 yes it is. i only put volumizing powder under my hair not on top, i put dry shampoo on my roots

I have the same powder and I've never really known how to use it so when you whipped it out I got real excited. Haha. Thanks for the help (:
