  • Gordon Solie by this time already had 25 yrs of commentary skills under his vest on radio & tv, he schooled himself after the pro boxing radio commentators who had similar verbal skills. Most of the best southern announcers had radio skills.

  • Bob Roop was the Kurt Angle of that time

  • Did Jimmy Hart change his stable on a weekly basis back then? Impossible to keep track of who he managed back then! Or did he just manage every heel!

  • Bill Irwin used to be HUGE. When he was being used as a jobber in WCW in the early 90s, he slimmed down quite a bit.

  • Woah, jimmy Hart taller than somebody? or maybe he looks smaller around all those huge wrestlers...

  • This is cool to see solie in his prime! lol Sometimes I think he's had some medical training because he knew alot of the technical terms for body parts, but He was far and above the best commentator ever

  • Mouth of the South Baby!!! LOL

  • One of the Long Riders eventually went to the WWF and did a goofy hockey gimmick. The other one passed away due to an illness like Cancer or Diabetes.

  • The Longriders were "Wild" Bill Irwin and Scott "Hogg" Irwin. They were The Super Destroyers before that. When they lost the masks, they came up with this gimmick. Very Popular in the South.

  • Wait. One of these guys was Bill Irwin AKA, "THE GOON"

  • Great interviews with Tommy Rich - I never saw him before, he was great!

  • he did tenn? too?
