  • budweiser commercial from the day

  • PSYCH. <3

  • Harriet never look at the camera?? but she's so hot, and one of the most best voices.

  • I grew up with song by the original artist, rolling stones..Then I heard this version,so much better then the original....Her voice is like heaven..

  • This is breathtaking. This crosses the line into Art. David Gavurin's guitar work is excellent, but it is the combination of Harriet Wheeler's sublime voice and her uncanny ability to interpret a song (this is not the only example) from the pensive understated beginning through to the intensity of feeling present in the chorus and end that makes this gem a masterpiece.

  • @TheKester47 what a damn fine comment old chap. well said. it almost goes beyond music..........

  • Fear 1996 :)

  • what an underrated band, beautiful voice, so beautiful

  • Harriet. What are you doing ? Not recording with your voice is like owning a Ferrari and refusing to drive it.

    GET BACK INTO THE STUDIO.

  • buffy+angel at the prom dance with this playing, 'nuff said.

  • @jingglejanggle Yeah, that's where I remember this song from too. It's funny how it evokes that memory. It's good though.

  • aphexxx77 is right. Harriet does raise hairs when she sings this. Such an epic & inspired performance. Almost makes a grown man cry, I'll tell ya!

  • Esta versão faz qualquer outra parecer merda.....

  • I don't really see this as a cover. it may have been written by Jagger and Richards but this is Harriet's song!

  • Alls I can say is: Please, please, PLEASE come back......

  • I didn't hear this version till 2008 and holy shit does it take me back to that rainy saturday afternoon with minju, in korea. we listened to this again and again while snuggling on my bed, I kept hitting the play button over and over. I'm still in Korea, but munju's long gone.

  • I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG WHEN I FIRST SAW FEAR. I FINALLY FOUND OUT WHO DID THE COVER AND I LOVE IT!!!

  • @68xyL8dy22 me 2 hahhaha i love it!

  • love the guitar arrangements, but I miss the multiple voices in all chorusses.. I just love male harmonies a lot!

  • linda!

  • I love this version....but I also love the original ...They are both very good

  • I have to admit I like this version better

  • pretty hard to pull off a decent cover of this. bravo!

    beautiful vocal tone. bellissima!

  • Like all her lyrics & music, it's so soothing for anyone who is happy or heart brokened. Thank you and Mahalo Harriet. This is one of my broken hearted times.

  • if I had a voice like that I'd never have retired from singing ;-) but at least we have her recordings!

  • Some years ago, my girlfriend and I were driving a cliff side coastal road as the sun was setting over the ocean. This song was playing on the car radio as the warm summer air rushed in through the windows. Without doubt, one of the most romantic moments of my life. I'll never tire of this song. Beautiful.

  • check out Kate McGill... she has a voice like harriet !

  • Harriet has a great voice. One of only a handful of women that I can listen to

  • This was one of Lorraine's fav songs, I love and miss her so much.

  • The first time I heard this version, I sobbed. Memories I guess, and it's so beautiful

  • This is not a cover as far as I'm concerned. All the others are.

  • H your the perfect Girl 4 any man x.

  • Dont you just love opinions...it makes us unique <3

The Stones made it great, SuBo resurrected it in an amazing way but this cover is perfection.

  • i also like this version better! a rare thing for sure.

  • this is the best I have ever heard this song sung. Not to deminish the stones but its like she was meant to sing this song

  • @WilliamG1970 yeah it was made for harriet she really brings this to another level it means so much to me that she sings with so much emotion its beautiful got me threw some tough times!

  • as much as I like this version it doesnt quite have Mick Jagger's emotion underneath....the original version has a timeless beauty..

  • better than he original ???????????????? by far. what a version of this song

  • I have never heard a better version of this song. I'll never hear a better version. No way.

  • @n3iyr one day you will hear the original by the Stones

  • how much producer influence did they let themselves be talked into?

  • this is certainly the best ersion to me... makes me feel all wierd and tingly lol

  • when was this video originally released?

  • The vid aired around March '93 in the U.S. Harriet and David hosted a MTV 120 Minutes episode in late Feb. '93, and I remember Harriet mentioned that they had just finished the video.

  • one of the best covers!!

  • This is my favorite cover <3 It's so clean.

  • brill!

  • i have always been the middle child black sheep of the family & when I invited my older sis to see me sing this song at a cafe as a tribute to HER she met me back stage & said i sucked.

  • The truth hurts.

  • @45thployd

That's awful. I'm sure you were good.

  • love this song :o)

  • I think it's just the raw talent and professionalism of how the song is presented. The emotion and effort that's put into this rendition really shows. The mood that The Sundays create IMO reflects the true feel the writer wanted to convey. Nicely done, nice indeed.

  • I'm hearing Dave's brilliance

  • nice song

  • I remember this song from the movie "Fear"

  • @celtic666666 yeah when he fingered the girl on the rollercoaster!

  • Amazing. Perfect pitch. Exact range to the octive. I have never heard this song done this well. I'll never hear better. No way.

  • I think version by far is the best :) I first heard it Buffy

  • I got this song from the movie Fear. It played 2 times in the movie and I really liked it. =] So, now I'm listening to it and this song is so beautiful! So emotional. Defenitely a good couple song. =]

  • I almost blew my load in my pants when I watched this scene in Fear. Such an AMAZING scene like unreal it's almost tooooooo good to be made by humans. When I watched this movie for the first time on a late summer night with my girlfriend last summer. I didn't think it would be anything thing special but it was a good movie and that 1 scene made it all worth while. And if your GF hasn't heard this song or seen the movie I suggest playing it while love making to show her your sensitive side:).lol

  • This song was done by the ROLLING STONES in 1965 folks!!

  • yes, we knew that... but this version kicks ass

  • The Stones sure didn't do it this well.

  • @n3iyr i agree :)

  • @n3iyr, The Stone's version is great, and this version is great. But after doing a side by side listen....Yeah, I think you are right, the Sundays is better. For one, the Stones need to lose the piano in their version.

The Sundays version however, is all together--it's magical.

    I LOVE the Sundays.

  • Possibly the greatest female vocalist ever!

She hit's the most difficult notes with one

    hand tied behind her back!

  • Greatest female vocalist EvEr?!?

What are you - like 12?

  • You're joking, right? The best female vocalist? She's good, no doubt, but nowhere near the best. Sorry.

  • I liked this ever since I saw that movie "Fear" waaay back in the day. It's kinda haunting, sexy & cool. Just a good rendition of Mick Jaggers' version. Thanks for posting.

  • yeah same here i decided to watch that movie today since its been a while and this song still makes envokes an interesting emotion

  • So well done. The best version ever done of this song. I have never seen this video. Thank you for this!

  • this song hits a spot

  • A gf in the 90's introduced me to this song one cold clear early spring night. I've been hooked on this group ever since. The closest their tour came to me was Colorado about 10 years ago / 1997, I cannot imagine a more perfect venue to this song than looking up at the starry starry night bordered by snow covered mountains.

  • Without a doubt better than the original. Better vocals and guitar. The songs sounds to flow better.

  • the stones stripped version is way better or the original version on Sticky Fingers

  • VirtualTakeoverTV, I respectfully disagree. I appreciate the Stones for writing the original, but I find the Sundays' cover much more gripping.
