There was a REASON why the announcers deliberately no-sold the move. This was from the PPV NWO Souled Out 97, which had NWO heels Eric Bitchoff and Ted DiBiase (Sr.) as the announcers, and they basically buried all of the regular WCW guys. WCW went with their normal announce teams of Tony/Dusty/Brain for Souled Out 98 and Tony/Brain/Tenay for Souled Out 99 and 2000. This PPV got a pathetic 0.47 buyrate and is generally considered a conceptual disaster.

@AngelHatchets i agree with you...but i used to watch WCW all the time when i was younger and the reason why they werent too crazy about it mainly is cause bigshow did stuff like this all the time in WCW so after a while it wasnt really a surprise to anyone that much..he used to do dropkicks and even clotheslines off the top rope quite often so after a while it became just a normal thing that he does..although its still impressive as fuck everytime..but thats just my opinion on it

Paul Wight only weighed around 370lbs at this point and was amazingly agile. From 1995-1997 he pulled off some incredible moves for his size like dropkicks and kip-ups and attempted diving body splashes and elbows off the top rope.

It's such a pity he didn't stay in shape because his matches in WWE could've been so much better if he was in the shape he was in at this time. He and Taker should've had some incredible matches.

I don't know why the commentators aren't playing this up. As the video is short we don't know what they were talking about before, it sounds like Shiavone was in the middle of saying something, probably story-line related. The video cuts off straight after the Giant lands so maybe they went off about it right after that.

Shiavone was a good play-by-play commentator and has put over big moves and spots very much like J.R has on many occasions.
