I believe in evolution, but there still could be some sort of god. Frankly, I just don't know for sure. I'm not going to jump to any conclusions without evidence.

Quoting scripture isn't really an effective to those who fail to be convinced that the Bible is divinely inspired. Evolutionists aren't "confused". They are using the scientific process to explain our origins. Of course, there are still mysteries left, which is why we need science so much. And anyway, at this point we do have a pretty broad understanding of how evolution works. You are not a mistake; every single one of your ancestors was fit enough to survive long enough to procreate.

I agree with cypher. Just because we don't believe in your god, that doesn't make us atheists. Look up the word "agnostic." Personally I believe that there is a creator that defines the elegant physical properties of the universe but does he/she/it judge your actions in this life and determine where you go in the afterlife(if there is an afterlife)? Probably not. Someday scientist will be able to you your tree. But you need to give them time to figure out how plant DNA => protiens => your tree.

How can you take the Bible as a absolute truth when you preach that man is born a sinner. Are these men that wrote the bible not confined to the same rules as other men? Evolution, though not perfect, explains vastly more than a book that was written during a time when men thought the Earth was center of the universe. You must realize you are reading a book that is VERY outdated and inaccurate to say the least, not to mention it contradicts itself and promotes violence against opposed thinking.

How about considering that Christianity isn't the only religion out there.. What have you say to Islam and its belief in the Almighty God?

THe Quran encourages human to think about, study and examine the creation and how world is organized.. THe Quran does actually contain alot of scientific facts that we only have discovered decades ago..

How can you just ignore the unique design and order in the universe and deny the existence of God just because the Bible is wrong?

I don't think I ever denied the existence of a "God" though there is no way of knowing for sure until we leave this Earth. I also don't think I ever said anything about the Quran. The bible is outdated and that was all I was pointing out. The Quran does have scientific examples but the Quran is never extremely detailed since it is a book of guidance, not historical biography of man and the universe. Also, mankind has figured out vastly more in the region of science since the Quran was written.

I think it is amazing that anyone learns anything in college. We are all used to having thirty people put in half a million bucks to do half an hour of video. The results are very very good compared with some person talking to a blackboard for an hour.

That's because it's a lecture and no presentation. Scientific thinking is a lot different compared to other academic fields. Can't achieve that with MBA-get-slapped-in-the-face-PP­P's.

Best class at my Medschool [Germany], was Biochemistry. Everyone hated the subject, but the Teacher did such an amazing job - just using a blackboard and even rejecting a microphone - that even the less mentally gifted students understood it and enjoyed working for it. Doesn't work for every subject, though.
