Shame on you for bringing conspiracy shit into this otherwise nice tribute to this very nice bakery. The only thing I dislike more than stupidity is ignorance. Let me cure your ignorance by stating that the people who did this are inspired by Salafi-Jihadist ideology.
I am Iranian born American. I lived in India for 10 years before I came to the USA. These faces mean so much to me. If you haven't lived in KP you will never understand what German Bakery meant to me. I am teary eyed. All those fruit juices, the smiles, the late afternoon chess games, the beautiful stone chillums upstairs, the maroons and the whites, the shorts and the longs, the fragrance of the incense and coconut water, the trance party bus and the late night internet cafes...I miss them all.
@alfan30 motherfucker...... dont ever come to this video bastard..... idiot.... dont even comment motherfucker.... this is my city.... my place ... my guest (foreigners).... my cafe.... you dont comment... just go and listen to your dumb motherfucker... Dr Hamid.... the rotten bastard who is the biggest idiot... and you even more.... arsehole.......... thanks for the video posted here.... thanks great job !!!
Thank you very much . Always when I see this video I must cry. I was there on this bloody day 3 times. Ok I m lucky. I m still alive. And it it so true in the movie. We were all so happy. And than...change - a lot. WHY?
Twenty years ago I enjoyed the German Bakery and its visitors and the atmosphere. I was shocked hearing about the explosion. Why has somebody done this-hope this will be found out.
Thanks for you who created the video and posted it.
Thank you for this video. I was in Pune a few months before the attack. It just seems so cruel and so futile, that I can barely believe it happened. The community of KP and the German Bakery took me in as a lost 18 year old girl and let me go as much happier and wiser person merely from being in their presence.
My thoughts are with the whole community, both in Pune and those of us who are spread across the world.
Thanks Simon, for remembering and paying tribute to the victims of this unfortunate event and telling the the world that nobody can take away the SMILES from OUR (irrespective of cast , creed or nationality) faces, (though they took away some of the smiling faces). Pune will smile soon ...............
When i return on the the 14th i was toucht by the love and the caring of all the people, Western or Indian. I heard that the bakery will open as soon as possible again.
I hope to be able to drink a chai and aet a crosson there in the bakery on my next stay in Pune.
Thanks this was very moving...I was in Pune in 02 and have great memories of the German Bakery. I love your portrayal of humanity in all of us, it made me cry, so beautiful!
More thanks from Ibiza for this very moving video.

Being there each & every year,
Seeing all the familiar friends in this video,
Knowing how beautiful & loving this place is,
It was built out of love, lived each day through love & kill for politics, greed, power.
German Bakery will rise again.
Thank you for this video Simon. It goes straight to the heart.
