  • Maybe a no. 11? MONO!!!

  • Maybe a no. 11? MONO!!!

  • Maybe a no. 11? MONO!!!

  • Maybe a no 11? MONO!

  • Only over rated bands. Where is Robot, A.Armada, S.O.M.A, What The Blood Revealed, WhereAreYouLiam?, Others, Oracles Always Lie, New Century Classics, We're From Japan, Verticals, Ansaphone, Triple Smash, Transit, TotoRo, The Severely Departed, The Calm Blue Sea, Sympathy For Mr Park, Snezhinki, Saxon Shore, Satory Ray, Russian Circles, Red Sparowes, Lovely Girls Are Blind, I Am The Architect, Goonies Never Say Die, Flies Are Spies From Hell. Oh forgot that are just 10, post-rock is awesome!

  • to those that say Sigur Ros isn't post rock, what genre would you put them in? I always thought of post rock as music with "rock" instruments (drums, electric guitars etc.) but without the traditional rock song structures. but really in the end, who cares about labels, all of these bands are freakin amazing.

  • youre fucking right

    all bands are awesome

    gret choice

i would have done the same tracklist

  • this list is actually pretty crap. good songs but nowhere near the best

  • @exstazyunior then what are the best post rock bands?

  • nice choice for Mogwai. Cody is my fav song. i think sigur ros has better songs than that one though. personally i think Vaka might be their best. sigur ros is not mainstream post rock at all.... a lot of their stuff is very obscure. i'd say mogwai is more intro to post rock.

damn, i love Sigur Ros though, they are the best in my opinion. the vocals, the lyrical style, the bowed guitar, the ATMOSPHERE! brilliant.

  • Check out this new post rock song, search for:

The Inituition - Open Your Frozen Heart And Start Living Again (NEW 2011).

    VERY STORMY AND MOVING!!

  • and what about 65daysofstatic?

  • @michiviolenCe

    Not post rock

  • Sigur Ros?, they aren't post-rock

  • @laforet Sigur Ros is about is as about as mainstream as Post Rock gets. Its like an introduction to Post Rock.

  • @deksterification I disagree, they don't sound like post-rock, buy maybe you have a point, it's kind of an introduction to de genre
