It's a good rendition of the song, but I feel like a piano alone doesn't quite get across the original harshness of the battle. While it's epic, it's not... Omega.
@TroidHunter God, exactly. Omega's entire character is mindless brutality. Piano implies some sort of elegance to that despite there being none. I love the intro to this, though; replace the rest of it with rock and roll or something. Calm before the chaos.
@BlackZero98 Hell, even some decent percussion would help. I looked at the original, and this one's missing a bass line that helped it a lot. They kept the floaty part of the song, and not the harsh part when they made this. Even a damn violin could probably help this be a little closer to what it should be. And there's always something awesome about the mix of guitar/piano in the first version. The remastered versions are all missing something, if you ask me.
@TheldinMarks I don't think it really makes that much of a difference. Besides piano's are great for epic battle themes, take Kingdom hearts for example.

@TroidHunter Needs some fucking electric guitars in the background or something.
This is a mindless slave of Weil's placed in the body of one of the most powerful robots, Reploid or otherwise, to ever walk the face of the planet.
That shit's pretty hardcore.

@BlackZero98 Agreed.
If I could describe Omega in one phrase, it would be:
"The apocalypse in person."
Omega is just plain brutal. A piano better conveys a sort of elegance. Power, yes, but it does nothing to show Omega's harshness.

It's a good song, but I personally the piano kind of kills the mood.
