Dude they don't do graphics like this anymore. This game showed the true power of the most amazing gaming machine ever; The Sega Saturn version of this game looks way better then the PS1 version in my opinion. FMV mixed with 3D looks so cool I wish they would do this again. Can you imagine what a FMV/3D game would look like on the PS3 or 360. Man that would be awesome.
True. It was mostly just a showcase of technology beneath the veneer of an interactive game. Still, I got it for free with my old IBM Aptiva, so I didn't mind.
If you see the whole credit sequence you'll hear some voices indicating a rescue with a chopper at the end of it (at least in the DOS version). Possibly the clean-up team mentioned in the intro video.
Nope, being fused with the Cyberia Weapon allowed him to survive the crash, but it resulted in him being fused with it. An FWA colonel/researcher by the name of Dr. Corbin salvaged his remains in the mountains...which sets up the "storyline" for Cyberia 2. There's not much of a story, though, it's mostly shooting. I massively prefer the first game...it was so much more atmospheric.
I remember playing this game when I was six for computer. I never really figured out how to get past the airplane part, I'd disarm the bomb, but I'd still blow up in the airplane.
What do you mean? Interplay is alive, maybe not well, but getting better and better. They plan to begin work on MDK 3. I absolutely loved MDK 2 on the Dreamcast. It's like playing a dead game on a dead system, totally awesome.
best music in gaming history. what a dramatic/heroic/eerie game i tell you. when i finished the game, it gave me the chills. i cannot find another game that compares to its experience.
The Interplay intro brings back good memories. I use to play the hell out of this game and Doom as a kid. Once Wing Commander 3 was released I didn't care for anything else, though.
It and the Xatrix intro were pretty memorable to me, too. Their logos had really good music, IMHO.
Regarding the game itself, it's one of my favorites, but, damn, it's so friggen' hard! (To be honest, I never got to the second beat-'em-up level in the game)
For those who speak English, The cyberia weapon (freaky looking thing) asks you your name and you say zak, then Devlin tells says You are the weapon (meaning he's planted a bomb in you) and the cyberia weapon disarms it and you're on your way to kill devlin.
Sorry, I don't remember this password but I have a solution for you. On Google, write "cyberia saturn gamefaqs walkthrough". Click on the first choice and you'll have access to a walkthrough for this game. It's the Playstation version but I think the story is the same than the Saturn version! Tell me if you find your answer here. ;-)
Omfg.. i used to play the demo like million times and killed everything. Was pretty easy, but i loved that game. *snif* too bad it'll propably not work on XP. :(
when i was young i played this i was about 5 played it in 1995 on the ps1. I rented it and had NOT A CLUE what to do (mainly cause i was 5 and all i knew to do was shoot stuff) and forever i had the name cybiria in my head and not many other people had heard/played it AND now ive found it HORAY!
and fair play the graphics arnt half advandced for 1994 :P
During all the game, the hero is recruted to find the ultimate weapon... At the end, the hero understand that he is himself the ultimate weapon. He`s condemned to die, his only chance to survive is to fusion himself with this ugly thing that you can see in my video... We don`t even know if the hero survived after the last battle! This game is not bad according to me.
Yeah...they totally ruined Cyberia 2, though. The plot was terrible, and the serious, dramatic, spooky atmosphere that made the first one so cool was ruined by bad music and even worse voice acting.

I got this game with my '94 IBM Aptiva. This game has the most epic final stage music I've ever heard.
Fun Fact: The composer of this game's music was Thomas Dolby (the guy who sang "blinded me with science.)
